Dr. Hunt has done both my back surgery’s and I consider him one of the best in his field. My pain level has been reduced to only minor and getting better all the time.

I have had chronic pain in my upper spine for over 10 years and every doctor i went to recommended very invasive, long recovery and high risk surgery. I lost all sensation in my left arm and could not take the pain any longer and was referred to Dr. Hunt. From the moment i met him, he was amazing, very confident, fantastic explanation of my condition and required procedure and his «bed side manor» was the best i have seen. I felt comfortable right away, he was finally the right doctor to take a chance at resolving this chronic issue once and for all. I went into to surgery on a Friday and from the moment i awoke from surgery i already felt about 80% better immediately and each day a little better. It has been 8 day now and i feel amazing, i highly recommend Dr. Hunt for anyone who has back pain and needs a spine surgeon, he really is the best! My quality of life is already sooo much better!!!

Dr. Hunt is more than a phenomenal surgeon. True, he alleviated my excruciating pain that forced me to curtail everything I love to do, from traveling to everyday activities. More, Dr. Hunt has always been calm, patient, explaining why I was in so much pain and how he he could repair my L4-​L5 disc problems. He offered me all of the information in a way I could understand, yet was never condescending.
The office staff is often just as important as the physician. Every call was quickly taken and dealt with and when I’d put a call into the doctor, it was responded to promptly. This is unusual in many busy doctor’s offices and makes the whole experience that much better. Thank you Dr. Hunt and your team!

Dr. Gabriel Hunt, Dr. Leonel Hunt and Dr. Abrahamyan Goar have turned my life 360 degrees. This is a little late after my surgery but I want to express the respect I have for this team. I recommend these spine gods to everyone in need of help with low back pain. I had my surgery (L5 S1 Discectomy) last year in August and until today I have no complaints. I actually noticed the difference right when I opened my eyes after anesthesia, the nurses were surprised how I walked to the restroom unassisted. The teams compassion in helping patients is ¹⁰⁄₁₀ on a scale. Dr Hunt has given my confidence back, my health back and I cannot thank him enough. He is truly a great surgeon and a great human being. I come from a medical background and I know a excellent doctor when I see one.
His team from the office staff to Gohar has been amazing and truly loves what she does. Gohars assiduity, meticulous attention to detail and her spirit de corps has made a great impact on my care and my life. She has been a phone call away from any questions I had. Pre Op and Post op. I thought he was great. I had stenosis and did not waste any time waiting for an alternative. I had the surgery, it’s been 5 years and I feel great. No pain. I would definitely recommend dr. Hunt for anyone neededing neck or back surgery. I was able to go home the same day and it took approximately 4 weeks to fully recuperate.

Dr Gabriel Hunt and his professional team provided me with excellent care and I could not be happier with the Results of my surgery. Staff was very attentive and caring. These doctors are amazing in my book, not only was doctor Gabriel Hunt upfront, but he is easy to get a long with and I am grateful that him and his team are my care providers during my surgery recovery. Has recovering from a 3 section fusion/​decompression been slow, yes but, the team of the Hunt Brothers and Dr. Gohar Abrahamyan has been with me the entire journey, the pain that I have now, I know will eventually go away but, their level of care and concern has never lacked in any way. I would have them do it again, if i needed it. I was in chronic pain for years until Dr. Gabriel Hunt and Dr. Leonel Hunt and Dr. Gohar Abrahamyan saved me from a life of chronic pain and I am thankful.

Had his brother do a small surgery on me and now I am getting billed from his office saying he was in on the surgery. What Dr needs another Dr in on a laminectomy??? WHATEVER!!!’ So pissed!!! This is ridiculous… I have to have another surgery Bc both their minds didn’t do it right… surgery set for next friday! Not happy!!! I had a bone spur that he didn’t fix and my disc wasn’t shaved down all the way leaving my nerve root to still be blocked. I had this surgery done in 06 and with great success my fault not going back to same dr. I am flying back to Alabama to have my old surgeon fix their mess up. I also want to know if I can actually see if Gabriel Hunt actually in on my surgery??? I have a feeling that he wasn’t even there and they are bulling insurance and charging me! NOY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS NOR THEIR PRACTICE!!! Plus if you go see him get ready for bills, my co pay was cheaper than the office visit. Most cedars dr pick up the facility charge but not their offices, after insurance my facility charge was 90 bucks each time I went in to see him and my office visit co pay is only 60 so get ready to turn your wallet over to them both!!!

I was able to choose the date for the surgery and time.
I met him again on the day of the surgery and he was there when
I woke up 4 hours later. I’ll meet with him soon for the +day 10 after surgery.
It took place at Cedars Sinaï.
I was happy to know he worked on another French guy in 2000: rock star Johny Hallyday.
I have no sciatica pain anymore. MRI had shown 7mn hernieted disc. It was 4mn 3 years before. I had tried chiropractor, massage, decompression table: 16 sessions which reduced the pain by 50% but stopped short of a full elimination of the sciatica.
Sciatica had come already 3 years before during a few months and left. Then another time but then it came back for the whole year of 2013.
I still have pain where the micro surgery was. 7 days after. But it’s improving. I can lay on my back, walk, sit.

Dr. Hunt is the kind of Dr. That gives Doctors a bad name. He never even bothered to see me and had his glamazon intern speak with me. I have had chronic back pain for near a year and have been living w constant pain and his staff didn’t even bother to inspect me, take an X-​ray or an MRI. They spoke to me and basically told me their was no way it could be back pain from what I described. They prescribed me some muscle relaxers and treated me as if that was my soul purpose for coming in… My husband is a Dr so if I wanted pills it would be easy to obtain. They made me feel like I was crazy and then had me come in for a follow up and I told them I was still in pain and they suggested I get a new mattress. The worst part of all were the bills that came in! They sent me so much mail and each bill had a completely different amount… It was like reading an algebraic equation and their staff called and harassed me at work and all hours of the day for payment and threatened to put me in collections and had the audacity to hang up on me even though I had paid them every time I received a rude phone call from the office. The billing department couldn’t even be bothered to do their jobs and explain yet another bill to me. In total I paid over $ 500 for the Drs to do absolutely NOTHING at all. This is a crooked practice and these Drs are not reputable and are only interested in money. DO NOT under any circumstances go here. You will regret it and will still be in pain and will have to endure financial hardship. They don’t care about patients only money.

Dr. Hunt is very good at making you feel he cares about making you better. I was in constant excruciating pain.
The $ 25 (cash only) he charges every time you need your disability form filled out should give you some indication that he’s in it for the money. They also lost my MRI disk twice then kept forgetting they lost it and needed to reorder it, I don’t know if Dr. Hunt even ever saw it, the first time they lost it was on the first visit. They let me run out of meds and disability several times and treated me with rudeness. To allow a paying patient to become physically sick and immobile from pain due to purposeful negligence is crazy to me, espescially at such a prestigious hospital as Cedars-​Sinai. I seriously considered suing him for the pain, distress and senseless delay of care he and his staff caused me.

I have seen my father suffer for 9 months in bed; eating, drinking in bed on his left side. He had a miserable life, he could not walk or do anything because of his low back and leg pain. Once a professional biker, now an overweight diabetic with a sedentary lifestyle. His and our life changed about 2 years ago when he met Dr Gabriel Hunt… thanks to you doctor and your kindness and your expertise that my father is back on track and biking 15 miles a day. He has gotten back in shape and his diabetes is completely under control. Thank you for giving him his life back– we are forever grateful to you and to your team!!!
