Four Star Barbers

Done with this place. Been going here maybe a year, even kept returning after they raised they’re prices. Long story short, I gave this place plenty of shots. Sometimes returning because certain spots were missed… but what did me in is making appointments and not having my time respected. I’d cancel if I knew I wasn’t gonna make it out of respect for the barber so he can make his money. But two times in a row I would make an appointment and someone would have just sat down before me maybe 5 minutes before my appointment. Total lack of respect. Take your business elsewhere… I did.

Everybody is pretty cool. What a barbershop should be like. But hands down the best barber there Jairo. He is not just a barber if you are looking for a a new style and a professional advice Jairo is your barber .:

This place sucks saw this barber shop stopped and got a haircut and a beard line-​up. Halfway into my cuts my hair and beard looked a mess on my hair I asked for a taper they ended up doing a fade which I didn’t ask for in the 1^st place 2^nd the line-​up on my beard was horrible I had to tell the barber to please stop on my beard line-​up because he already messed up my hair/​beard and I wasn’t gonna pay a dime. And keep in mind they was gonna charge me $ 35 for a shitty job. This place is overpriced and barber/​s don’t listen how you want your style. I will never recommend this place to anyone I been to other barber shops in the pico Union neighborhood and I gotta say prices are wayyy cheaper and better haircuts and or beard line-​ups. 1 place for sure you’ll get a crisp cut at millennium barber and beauty salon. Cross streets pico & Union only by appt. Fonsi and Armando specialize on crisp cuts Armando crisp haircut and beard line-​ups AMAZING!

This has been my barber shop for years! I’ve been with Jairo since he was a barber over at Garcias barber shop. Jairo is one bad ass barber! I drive from across town just to get my haircut with him.

They suck! It takes them 3 hours of wait time before they actually pay attention to you, plus the whole time they’re cutting people’s hair they’re always distracted and stop in the middle of the hair cut to text and be in their phones. They don’t care about you. They’re cutting your hair and literally stop and turn off their machine to get on their phones. They just suck ass. I was there yesterday and waited an hour and had to end up leaving.

This four star barber sucks prepare for them to mest up your haircut. I was waiting like 3 hours and mY turn never came because all there clients are friends and they skip you until there so called appointments are done.

Fuck this place. Make an appointment or you’ll be pissed the fuck off. I walked in without making an appointment and these bitches never called me. They have a sign outside their place that says,“Walk-ins”, but they should remove it to say «appointments.» I was waiting there for 3 hours and I got so pissed that I was gonna leave, but one of the bitchass barbers pulled a dick move by saying that there was another barber coming. I was like alright and decided to wait. 30 fucking minutes passed and where was the other barber? No fucking where. I was pissed to the fucking max. I got up and left. So don’t EVER «walk-​in»

I have been cutting my hair with Jairo off and on for over 15 years or so, this is definitely the BEST barber shop in LA. The shop is nice and clean. They treat you like family here and they also have 2
TVs and drinks for sale. The other barbers are very good too. My son and I get are cuts here. Highly recommend, I wouldn’t go anywhere else! btw I would make an appointment because it can get full

Jairo does a great job. My nephew recently started getting haircuts here and refuses to let anyone else cut his hair. Jairo does a great job, and is friendly. My 8 year old nephew feels really comfortable going to him for his cuts. All the guys in my house get their cuts here and every time I come there’s always people I know. This is THE spot for fresh cuts.

They were very busy when i got there so i understood we would have to wait but when i started to notice the barbers were mostly talking and even showing the customers youtube videos from their phones i started to get a little annoyed but i already waited a while so i decided to just wait. My son got a haircut from a guy who seemed more interested in tele novelas than cutting hair. He payed more attention to the TV than cutting my sons hair. When it was done, he cut it shorter than i wanted and it wasnt straight and then he charged $ 15 for it. The next day i took my son to another barber around the corner to fix their mistakes. Its definitely not worth it.

Been cutting my hair here for over 5 years! It is «one» of the best places to get a hair cut in Los Angeles! Only 15 for a haircut.

I’m giving them 5 stars just because I’m a very satisfied mother every time I walk out. I bring my kiddos to Jairo, hes excellent! The other guys are good too. Also if you don’t want to wait a VERY long time MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!

I’ll be looking sharp at my wedding courtesy of Kito and the rest of the guys over at Four Star barbers. The other barbers– Jairo, Raul, Fernando, & Mitchell, are all talented professionals and good people. They definitely each have their own style, especially in terms of shaves, but this doesn’t keep them from delivering what you ask for.
I spent 7 years in Los Angeles looking for a place like this, so glad I finally came across it in 2009. Price for a shave/​haircut typically goes for around $ 20 which may be more expensive than some places, but the quality of their work makes it a great deal.
They accept both appointments and walk-​ins. I personally prefer to just walk-​in and get cut by whoever is available first since they’re all excellent barbers.
They just reopened after remodeling, the place is looking better and better. They accept credit card although cash is best for tip. Free wifi and beverages for sale in-​store. Barbers are bilingual (English & Spanish) but they are so good at what they do that I bet you could speak any language and they’ll STILL get you what you need.

The guys here are all friendly. They go by appointment so you don’t have to waste your time. Although they run behind sometimes. They have tv so it’s cool. They play movies often so you don’t get bored. Jc kito is my husbands pick, this guy is very thorough and patient. Another guy that does my son’s hair is Raul also good. Free parking upstairs so you don’t have to worry about the meter!
