Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles International Airport

Extraordinary service from staff. The hotel completely took care of our weekend large group event. The buffet was tasty and everything was delivered timely with a smile.

After dropping the SO off at the airport, I was beyond sick so he paid for me to stay here one night because he didn’t want me driving home being sick as I was (horrible flu).
The first room they gave me was overwhelmed with smoke smell… I was so tired and sick, I texted the SO and said to get his money back and I would just suck it up to drive home (almost 4 hr drive). He told me to go to the front desk while he made some calls.
Almost in tears (not only was my chest barely functioning for breathing, I dropped all of my luggage while trying to get on the elevator and so tired), the front desk offered an upgraded room in one of their «remodeled» floors.
The room had a small living room type of space with a TV and then a bed with a TV. Basically one long room with two TV’s. The building is quite old and you could definitely tell by the way the bathroom was set up. Also, the closet was as if it had its own hallway… why not just make the hallway part just a bigger closet? Weird.
Bed was very nice. I ordered soup for room service and it was ok… can’t go wrong with tomato soup.
I didn’t hear any hallway noise but I had a room at the very end of the hallway and I’m sure they didn’t have many people staying on that floor anyway.
I brought a fan to drown out noise and I was on some very heavy sleeping meds for my flu so I slept ok but for other light sleepers… the airport noise is very loud. If I was here just on a regular night, I would’ve had a hard time sleeping.
I knocked off some stars for the smokey first room and the fact that while I was waiting to check in, not only did it take 20 minutes for someone to finally get to the front desk but another person who came in AFTER me was helped first.
With so many options in the area, I would only recommend if you got a very good price and only for a night or two.

We have stayed at this hotel before since it is close to the airport and reasonably priced. However, this time our room smelled like dog urine. As well there was no remote for the tv and we had to call twice before receiving one an hour later. the future I will be careful to avoid pet friendly hotels such as this one if that what I can expect. The rooms and bathrooms need to be updated to match the recent renovation to the lobby.

Yes the reviews are correct. But everyone who I dealt with was so nice!!! One star for them! Employees are so sweet. The other star is for the lobby area. My room was horrible. Bed ok. But really Sheraton, you need to upgrade or sell. Noises from the pipes all night. TV really, how small can it be. Room was so tiny. Let’s step it up people.

This place is awful and overpriced for what you get. I will never stay at a Sheraton again.
I got a «special deal» to stay here, and I chose it because it was supposed to be pampering and fancier than my regular hotel-​type (La Quinta, which is far better, FYI). I called the day before to ask for early check-​in and the number didn’t work. Seriously… their phone number, (direct line, not 800) said, «not in service». I couldn’t believe it. So I called the 800 number who said they would reach out to the concierge. When I arrived and told the front desk their phone number wasn’t working, they said, «Let me see your phone» and I said, «No. I’m telling you it doesn’t work…» (And if you don’t believe me you are a jackass). Then they said they’d treat me to $ 15 parking like it was a favor. Fast forward to parking – the shittiest hotel parking I have ever seen. Not connected to the hotel, it’s a terrible design and it’s usually $ 21 a night. I felt like I was parking in a Disneyland parking lot, the old school one with no trolley, and had to walk a mile to get to the hotel.
The rooms are also pretty terrible. No drawers, no microwave or fridge, weird design, and weird light fixtures. They’re the kind that are in an early 1990s office building. The shower curtain was frayed, the towels felt like they’ve been washed and reused for the last 12 years, and the shower itself is cheap. The walls are paper thing, we can here everything happening in the hallway, the carpet is old and gross… I could go on and on… I can’t believe I paid so much to stay here.
Added: a roach in our room. A f$&king roach!!!
I am no country bumpkin. I live in New York City and I know what quality is and this place is crap. I will stick to La Quinta from now on.

Thanks to a very pleasant and friendly staff, my weekend stay was very pleasant. BTW, it pays to be apart of the rewards program. Checked other hotels in the area but rates at other hotels were nearly $ 50 more. Considering I was going to be all over, this was a central location for me and the parking was included! Beware, it is in the flight path of LAX however not as noise as one might think.

Now that Marriott has taken over Starwood, I suspect this location will not make the cut as a Sheraton property. Technically, it meets many requirements such as a pool, restaurants, in room coffee etc. but it is an old property and very basic.
Check in was fine but the guest who walked in on my wife and me in bed an hour later was as surprised as we were. It was a front desk screw up and to their credit, they bought our dinner in the Brewster Bar.
Brewster is an ok bar with great beer choices and a decent happy hour. Just be careful on call drinks even during happy hour as you could be in for an expensive surprise.
The dining room feels like Denny ’ s circa 1975. Formica tables with big city hotel priced food even for breakfast. Middle of the menu breakfast will run $ 40 for two people.
Parking is competitively priced for LAX but if you get stuck at the back end of the rear lot, it is a long walk to the front desk.
Overall, not a great experience and I can’t think of a good reason to go back.

Made reservations online at the last minute and found out that «requesting» early check-​in is not a guarantee. Fortunately, I called the night before my arrival and the reservationist said she could book the room that night, so I could do a «late» check-​in when I arrived off the red eye. Worked out great since I only needed the room for the daytime.
Nice perks include free shuttle service from the airport, a fitness center, pool and close proximity to Avis car rental less than a block away.
Lobby was modern and bright, but the room seemed a bit dated and definitely a tight fit with two full sized beds, a desk, and large flat screen tv that didn’t work until my friend arrived 3 hours later and told me it wasn’t plugged in (duh, why didn’t I check the plug?!).
Overall, Four Points by Sheraton gets 3 stars from me for clean, comfortable and decently priced (less than $ 200 per night) accommodations. There wasn’t much benefit to booking with a travel site, as being a SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) sometimes offers a better rate and special requests can be made. And if you do book online, do it early!

Pro:
–Can’t hear the bedrooms beside us.
–Clean sheets.
Con:
–Parking is $ 15/​all day.
–My boyfriend rang them up for a toothbrush and waited for more than 25 minutes, so he went down to the service desk and asked for one and that only took less than 5 minutes to do.
–Bed is really soft that makes your body sinks in to the mattress and whatever move the person in the next bed is doing, I can really hear it.
–Whatever sound person makes in the bathroom can be heard too even with the door being closed.
–Can hear planes arriving and departing.
–If guests are making loud noises in the hallway, you’d be able to hear that.
–The first night, my boyfriend couldn’t sleep at all because the bed sucked so much.
–The second night, my friend couldn’t sleep either. (Both nights, I slept fine).

I stayed here because it would be easy to slip downstairs and attend my big examination. Not sure I will make that mistake again.
The staff who work here are very nice. The 2 food and beverage purveyors (Brewster and comfort) were ok. The food had good flavor, but it missing… something.
The remainder of the hotel. Ugh. The place really needs to be rennovated. Old paint. Unfortunately i was placed ina room close to the guest elevator, but also close to the housekeeping elevator and room. It was noisy! The room itself was clean, but the carpet in my room was stained. There was a closet bar, but no doors for the closet. No safe in the room. The tv was functional. The bed was functional but not very supportive and I could feel the springs poking me in the back. The shower was functional. Although it appears you can change the nozzle to spray vs massage… the water sprayers never changed. The towels were not fluffy and soft. The toilet did have the option of «small» vs «large» flush– thank you for being water conserving. Parking is self park.

Never again!
During my recent stay, I had a security situation that left me feeling unnerved and completely unsafe. To boot, the immediate customer service response was nonchalant and just… not there!
Around 12:40 am (yes, I was awake!), someone opened the door to our room. Thankfully, the door latch worked and did not allow the person to enter. Upon hearing this, I ran to the door, pushed it closed, and tried to look out the peephole to see what was going on.
I called down to the guest services and the woman who answered told me, oh, honey, I’m sorry and that she would talk to the front desk. A second later, Juan from the front desk called and solely said that it was an engineer who did not know the room was occupied. An engineer after midnight? Did not know the room was occupied? Sorry guys, things don’t check out. He seemed totally unconcerned about what happened and hung up the phone.
The next morning, I had a better experience with the front desk, but still was totally freaked. The front desk person was sympathetic to what happened, questioning why an engineer would be at a room after midnight and saying there was no front desk person with that name.
Safety and customer service are huge things for me… I totally would recommend looking elsewhere for a hotel in the LAX area.

I stayed here for the past two nights (november 2 & 3) & last night when I returned back to the hotel at at 2:45 am after having a show and being exhausted I was told that my room was changed. They said that I had a new room and proceeded to give me the key to it. Confused because I did not check out I asked how this could happen and where were both me and my friends belongings. They told us that they didn’t know but it was probably in the new room. I said so someone just took my things out of my room and moved them to a new room? She said possibly. She also said that she could not let us into our room bc it was now occupied by someone.
The lady named Helena had no compassion for what we were going through and the fact that she didn’t seem to care was absurd. She made it seem like it was our problem & that we had to figure it out. We kept telling her that there had to be a glitch in the system and that our stuff had to be in the room still yet she insisted that it wasnt. We go upstairs and see that our stuff was not in the new room & by now we are frustrated because we don’t know where it is.
I then call down to the manager Angel because we wanted security to come up to the floor to open our old room and he just kept reiterating that someone changed our rooms and that there was nothing he could do. We then had to call and wake up our manager who booked the room to come down & rectify the situation. He finally got the manager to give us keys to our «old room» which no one was occupying and all of our personal belongings were still in.
Not once did anyone apologized to us or show any compassion. We were tired & had to be up in a few hrs to checkout and had to waste 30 mins going back in fourth about a situation that never should have happened. They didn’t offer us complimentary breakfast or anything to appease us at all. I had to ask for an apology which is ridiculous. I still do not understand how our room got changed or even how they thought there was someone occupying it.
Nonetheless customer satisfaction is paramount and you should always have empathy for the people who are patronizing you. Both Helena and Angel had none and it was disheartening how they handled the situation which was obviously their mistake. So for that I am giving this hotel and the two staff members that I encountered one star. This should never have happened to begin with however how they handled this incident was completely wrong.

I booked this room to earn some SPG points while I visited some friend over the weekend in LA.
The hotel is very close to the airport and there are several free shuttles that go back and forth about every 15 minutes. I arrived late on Friday night but was able to get checked in quickly and was given a room at the end of the hall on the 4^th floor.
The room: Nothing special but clean and large with a large window where you could watch planes landing at LAX. The blackout curtains worked very well and the hotel was quiet. The bathroom was a little tight but excellent water pressure. The bed was comfortable and I slept really well and I’m pretty picky about my beds.
Dining: I picked up lunch from the bar — Bangers and mash. Pretty tasty. I also had the breakfast buffet before my flight out which had scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, pancakes, french toast, etc. All the basics but prepared well enough.
Wifi: The wifi in the room was okay. Not the fastest connection but I could do all my work and VPN. It would time out and I would have to reaccept the terms more often than I would have liked.
Minus — No fridge or mini-​bar in the room.
Plus — Free bottled water

I expected better from Sheraton Hotel. Terrible van service and very unorganized staff. It took them an hour and a half to send a hotel Van (supposed to run every 25 minutes) Unfortunately; the driver had to leave us at the airport because the van was full. We had to take a different van from a different hotel just to get to this hotel. I understand those things happen, but when we have to go to work early the next day. It makes our short layover even shorter. To top it all off, our rooms weren’t ready because staff couldn’t find their paperwork. Not impressed.

I can’t really complain. I notice it was a bit older than there Sheraton sibling down the street. I didn’t stay here though.
I was here for the tech/​engineering career fair that I signed up for from
. The conference room where the job fair was at was past the bar/​restaurant. The career fair wen smoothly. Not a lot of companies were there but enough. Got to s meet some of the recruiters/​representatives and got freebies too. There was flavored water in the room but ran out after I tried going for 4ths.

My husband and I stayed here because we had an early flight out of LAX. For an airport hotel this place did just fine for under $ 150/​night. The check-​in was quick and the staff was friendly.
Pros:
–The room was clean; dated, but clean. (Working in the flooring industry I can say that hotel carpet has never impressed me. Not even once. But at least it’s clean here.)
–Soft sheets, good pillows.
–A/​C worked great. Nothing like curling up in a big soft blanket with squishy pillows in a cool room.
Cons:
–My husband asked for a 5:00AM wake up call and we were called at 4:07AM.
–I’m writing this at 4:33AM due to our too early wake up call.
–Based on other reviews, terrified for the shuttle to be late.
One more pro:
–The shuttle wasn’t late! :)

Great location and comfy beds!

This review is based solely on my visit to the Four Points Sheraton LAX for an event. I did not stay in the hotel, nor would I in the future.
From the time we pulled into the valet the whole experience was a shitshow. I attended a wedding reception at this venue and was blown away that their parking lot was full and the whole wedding party and guests could not be accommodated by the valet. Everyone had to find parking elsewhere which meant two blocks away at an office building and four levels underground. Everyone was late.
If I was hosting an event for over one hundred people and everyone had to find parking elsewhere I would have been extremely upset. As a guest I found it quite ridiculous and even more insulting when the manager entered the room towards the end of the evening to give the hosts vouchers for parking. No one could use the vouchers because they had to park elsewhere.
The wait staff was a bit overzealous with the refills, and one particular gentleman kept thanking us for coming to his hotel. He kept saying how much he appreciated us coming to his hotel because of the economy. Once or twice I get it… but for four hours it was kind of odd.

Atlantic Dance Show Convention: nicely carpeted room. Bright enough. Nicely setup tables outside with drinks and food. Lunch tables nicely setup with linens. Staff was attentive in clearing dishes even during breakfast when I was eating by the chairs near the restrooms.
Lunch was buffet style. Staff refilled chicken when it got low, but tomatoes were all gone for the salad.
It’d be nice if they cleared the trays more often that are left out for people to put empty dishes on between meals, but I guess the staff goes on break when meals aren’t being served.
Shuttle: to and from airport is a 5 – 10 minute drive. Peach colored and orange shuttle comes every 15 minutes.

I’ve stayed at a number of places around LAX when here for short stays without the time to stay stay elsewhere. With that, I have come to manage my expectations for LAX airport area hotels. That said, my experience here at the Four Points is a solid three stars. It’s okay. Better than most, short of a few.
The hotel itself is okay. Adequate. Open, airy, modern lobby. The usual amenities are here such as pool, bar/​restaurant, and coffee shop (very good breakfasts).
Rooms are adequate. Very confortabke beds, though the rooms have some iccsional asthetuc challenges like blustering/​peeling wallpaper.
Temp control is the A/​C & heater at rhe window.
The pool area is nice. Better than most airport area hotels.
The big complaint (and it is a shared problem with several hotels at LAX) is the transportation to/​from the Terminals. The transportation system here at the Four Points (and some other properties here at LAX) rely on a large bus that picks up (and drops off) patrons from multiple properties. They do not run on a set schedule, but meander as demand (& delays) allow. Even on the bus, you are warned that it can take as long as 45 minutes from/​to hotels and the terminal. Worse, I have seen the demand exceed the load. If the bus filled up at the Westin, you’re left out waiting for the next bus (on that unspecified schedule) and hopeful you ‘might’ find room to board.
The number one rule is simply to allow extra time for what could be a delay getting to the Terminals for your flight out.
