Forward Motion Physical Therapy provides comprehensive, hands-on evaluation and treatment for all of our patients. The co-owners, Nicolas Berard PT, DPT, CSCS and Margarita Mancheva PT, DPT strongly believe in an individualized approach to every patient, in order to help them move forward and maximize their function and recovery. Movement analysis, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, aquatic therapy and neuromuscular re-education are the core components Forward Motion PT aims to utilize throughout their treatments. In addition to treating the more common orthopedic diagnoses of sprains, strains, and post-surgical, we also offer specialty programs such as sports-specific training, aquatic therapy, oncology rehabilitation, lymphedema management, pregnancy/postpartum, obesity/weight-loss, vestibular rehabilitation and fall risk/balance training. History
Established in 2014.
The co-owners have combined for over 15 years of experience in the field of physical therapy. Nicolas Berard received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University in 2011, while Margarita Mancheva received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2010. Both grew up in the San Fernando Valley and know all that comes into play living in Southern California.

Dr. Berard received his B.S. degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University followed by his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University. He specializes in sports medicine and orthopedic manual therapy and has over 8 years of experience in various settings of physical therapy treating a vast array of diagnoses. Nicolas continues to further his education within the curriculums of the highly regarded Institute of Physical Art and the Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars, with courses that focus on functional manual therapy and patient education to facilitate optimum human function. He also has extensive experience with aquatic therapy, creating rehabilitation programs for the complete spectrum of conditions, from neurological patients to high-level athletes.
