Be sure to ask for Yerry, great stylist and colorist. He does a terrific job of giving you the style you ask for and makes great suggestions too.

Had a great experience getting my hair cut by Rob. I gave him the standard, «short on the sides, and longer on top,» and he made my hair look great — like matinée idol great. He even shaved my Movember mustache for no charge. I’ll be back again soon!

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and have always had a great experience. There have been a handful of times when I’ve had to wait, but never more than 10 to 15 minutes and those were times I just walked in. You can always call and make a same day appointment if time is an issue. As for the quality of the stylists, I think it really depends on who you are going to see. I can highly recommend Chelsey! She is truly a talented artist, but no surprise, her day fills up very quickly. All in all, the atmosphere is relaxed and in my opinion you’ll be hard pressed to find better at this price.

45 minutes for a shorter-than-requested, terrible, unbalanced haircut. Thanks for wasting my hair and my time.

Had two bad cuts here by a blonde older women that was very rough with me. Was not happy both times I walked out of there. I still tipped cause I believe in Karma and the women snarled as if it was nothing. When I am going to pay $ 150 on a hairdo I want to feel like I stepped out of a photoshoot…(you know?) I don’t often go to the hairdresser. They just think their too cool even with bad reviews. Just shows they don’t care I guess?

My experience was actually stellar. I called after lunchtime looking to get an appointment the same day before 3pm. They slotted me in with Nickkie who was awesome! I told her what I wanted and she gave me one of the best looking haircuts I’ve ever had. I’ve received tons of compliments on it. She also trimmed and shaped my beard — all for the same price. I will gladly go back to Floyd’s.

My male friend came here for a simple trim: shorten the sides and leave more length up on top… He came out with: — one side of his head was longer than the other — from bottom top of his head the hair length wasn’t blended so you could see lines where the hair was getting progressively longer towards the top of his head — lines around his ears were not cleaned up at all — they put so much product in his hair that it looked glued together and all he wanted to do is wash his head lol We went back to fix it immediately after we left the shop… we asked for a more experienced person. She did great gixing it!!!

First time here, was a bit nervous to get a new barber working on my hair, but let me tell Jeanette did a amazing job. I showed her how I wanted my cut and she said she could do it. Once I saw my finished product I was very happy with it. Thank you Jeanette!

Jasmine is my co-pilot. When it comes to getting my haircut there is always the obsession with who will cut it and what it will look like. I’m glad my new Comedienne friend recommended Floyd’s for a fresh long bob during a recent photo shoot. Great tunes, interior reminiscent of Rudy’s on St. Mark’s place NYC and relaxed conversation made this an all-around awesome experience.(Expect pricey parking though)

I am a true hair hopper when it comes to hair cutters. I have been hopping from hair joint to hair joint in LA for over 5 years and i have finally found the place I like. The woman who has been cutting my hair for the past several months is great and the staff is very friendly. Parking is tough so I take the subway its a short walk from the Hollywood and Vine stop.

Done with Floyd’s. Oh, BTW, that thing where you call ahead to be put on «the list?» Well, that doesn’t mean shit. I called in at 7:30, got there at 8:00, and still had to wait behind everyone there. When I asked Ms. Clueless at the front desk about it, she mumbled something about appointments. Well, I was told they don’t even take appointments. And even if they did have appointments(which I know they didn’t), wouldn’t it have been common courtesy to tell me when I called in that there would be an hour wait once I got there? And the«stylists» ain’t all that, anyway. They charge a lot, and are no better than any corner barber shop. If you have a favorite stylist, it’s a crap shoot that you’ll get to see them anyway. I didn’t, and I walked out of there with the worst haircut in my life. Never to return.

At first I thought that I had found my barber… Then we got to talking and she did did a number on my cut. She just walked away at one point and I was like excuse me can you please trim up my bangs they’re really long(straight up avalanche on my head). I could tell she was done and didn’t feel like doing it and gave some excuse followed by «put more product in it». I said that there was already was too much in my hair and that isn’t for me. and she got salty. I said whatever and left only to come back again because I needed it fixed and wanted to get my moneys worth to have her fix, what I initially asked. My seccond visit is where I really have a problem… She asked me if I have OCD, and said that I need to quit smoking. Excuse me?! Lady you don’t know me and the hardships I’ve faced in life… and if smoking helps me get through my days then thats my decision. Who do you think you are you to tell me different. She continued to cut my hair and then insulted yet again, by asking and assuming that I have OCD! Haha so rude… Snitches get stitches so out of respect I wont share her name. Wish I would have grabbed management, but its tricky when someones holding scissors to your head. lesson learned. Wont go back.

Trish is a delightful human being who really sets you at ease and wields a razor with confidence. Special props to the boss lady Linda, too, who gave me a deal in support of finding cures for kids with cancer. Wonderful shop, great people, I’ll be back to get some designs soon…

Wandering around town and realised I needed a haircut. So popped into this place purely by accident. I am kicking myself for not getting the barbers name who did my head shave but she was fantastic. It might seem like a head shave is an easy thing but to keep it even and make sure there are no stray hairs getting into everything takes someone who cares. Very friendly and bubbly girl and all the staff looked as if they were having fun. Funky décor and good pricing. Didn’t have an appointment and was seen very quickly. Get along and check it out if you’re nearby.

I cut all my damn hair off about six months ago. Finding a stylist who I trust for shape ups has been daunting, to say the least. There isn’t much room for error with a pixie cut! No ponytails, and hats make me look like a 12 year old boy. Cut to today. I’ve been avoiding getting my hair trimmed for the reasons mentioned, but I couldn’t wait any longer. I looked like Norville Rogers when I woke up and no amount of product was helping. Ugh, fine. So, I found this Floyd’s. Maybe a barber shop can handle my short hair? Maybe. I saw Michele K.‘s name pop up in several reviews for both men and women and made an appointment with her for less than three hours later. Note: Unlike some reviewers, I prefer the same day/walk-in policy. It works much better in this type of setting than stylists who are booked out weeks in advance. Meter parking was easy right out front, I walked in and was greeted by the friendly desk girl. The vibe is very Hollywood, but not at all intimidating. Michele took me to her chair right on time, listened to what I wanted, gave me a nice shampoo and got to cutting. The confidence Michele exudes in her craft sets her apart from the other hairdressers I have seen. Others have this tentativeness I cannot explain… but it doesn’t make me very comfortable when someone who is cutting my hair with a razor seems unsure of their work. Michele did her thang, quickly but with precision, and I was done and happy. I have already gotten three compliments from strangers since I walked out a couple hours ago! $ 29 including the optional $ 5 shampoo and I am so relieved! I will be back.
