I’m so glad there is this market so close to me, and in this community. So many goodies here you just can’t find anywhere around. I have been a regular costumer here for the last 8 years!
They’ve got carniceria inside, bakery, produce, groceries, produce, and a little bit of everything. Just about anything you need to serve a delicious Mexican or Central American meal can be found here. The vegetables and meat look so fresh. If you go almost at any time during the evening you will get lucky with fresh conchitas and bolillos.
The place is well managed and employee are very friendly, and the place is very clean. They have an A (health department). They also have parking on the back. They accept debit/​visa and EBT.

!! be careful if you buy «carnitas! here, i went in there to buy their ready made salsa roja, and first thing i spotted inside their carnitas case were
«flys’ not 1 or 2 i would say too many having a taste on their own watch out, you know were flys normally land BTW MY SALSA ENDED UP IN THE GARBAGE.

I wanted to try the tamales because it was in a list for top in the city, but was told I would have to order it in advance.
I ended up taking some chicharones with and without «meat,» crab ceviche, and pork infused bean dip to the party. All were very good and would come back again for it next time I’m in Highland Park.

I haven’t bought anything from here except cakes. The first time I ordered a cake from here was 2 years ago in 2012 for my sisters quinceañera. The cake was inexpensive, delicious and the design was ok besides the words «Mis 15 Años» on the side of the layers of cake which made the cake look kinda ugly. The letters were not in the picture of the cake we chose but they were added anyway for some reason. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with this place.
Earlier this year, I remembered about the place after needing a cake for my dad and his friends’ birthday. I came and ordered a cake here and again it was delicious but they did not space out their names correctly and even spelled «Happy Birthday» as «Happy Birthay». The cake still looked nice and tasted great so I didn’t mind as much. I don’t know what happened since then but it seems like they stopped caring about their cakes.
The last time I ordered from here was last month. I ordered a graduation cake that was simple. It was white with a black border and colorful thin frosting that looked like string confetti. There was the option to have it get made simple (just the frosting and the message) or get it decorated (everything like how it was on the picture including a graduation cake topper). I decided just to get cake plain without any extra decorations since it was cheap and they didn’t have the type of topper I wanted. The day I went to pick it up, I was so disappointed. The cake looked disgusting! The border was not black it was more like a dark gray blue color and the writing was the same ugly color and very thick! And to add to this, the writing on the cake was misspelled! It did not say «Congrats Grads» it said «Comgrats Grads» and the names of the grads were joined by what looked like a dollar sign not a «&» like I had written on the order. I was so disappointed I just took the cake and left. The writing was so big, ugly and the wrong color I felt it was too late to ask for them to fix it especially since the party was that day and was currently happening. I took it home and tried to fix the writing myself. The cake still looked disgusting but at least I corrected the nasty misspelled writing. I am no longer coming here to order a cake. The bread is delicious but after that last experience I don’t want to see what happens to my cake next time. I’ll just stick to Super A next time at least they spell their messages right!
**Stay away if you want a pretty cake without misspelled writing!

Little store with all the amen mercies of a Big Supermarket, Fresh fruit, veggies, and a Bakery. The Deli is well stocked. Friendly service.
