Farmers Market

I love coming here every few years as its part of my favorite places to visit in this area. Bought mostly vegetables and fruits. Next time I’m coming here for the pastrami or beef plates. That Brazilian steakhouse place looks interesting.

A Los Angeles landmark since 1934. People from all walks of life come here to enjoy the great food experience to shopping. Farmers Market is family friendly. The plus about the farmers market is located next the grove where you find great shopping and restaurants.
The beauty about farmers market you can spend hours here and never get bored. You have a lot to explore from great candy shops to spice shops. Also you find unique toy shop that carries classic toys and outstanding wines at the French Market.
No questions this is a tourist attraction. You can take a lot of photos for great memories. Farmers Market does get. Dry busy. Parking is a hit or miss. The best is to park the grove parking structure.

This is THE place to go for everything and anything. They have all kinds of different ethnic foods to try here. Italian, German, American sandwiches, pizza, pasta, Greek. They also have candy, donuts, ice cream. There are awesome specialty store for clothes, hats, hot sauce (yes a store with all different kinds of hot sauce), kips toy store, and the list goes on. There’s a bar in the middle to grab a drink and take a break. The fresh produce, fruits, and meat vendors are also very helpful with affordable prices. You can stroll through The Grove to walk off your meal. They validate parking with a purchase from the Farmers market too.

Great place to get lunch.
My husband and I walked the entire farmers market before deciding where to eat. There are so many selections and they are all so unique. I think that is the beauty of this place; you have a wide variety of food in a small space.
I think this would also be a great place to get gifts. They have other offering than just food.
If you are going to eat here. Definitely park in their parking lot. Free parking for two hours! Who doesn’t love that.

This review is strictly on the restaurants inside the Farmer’s Market.
It is a great option for bite to eat if you are trying to be quick before getting back to shopping/​movie or if you dont want to sit down and spend a whole lot. A lot of the restaurants in the Farmer’s Market area sell alcohol or have a bar, which is also a great option. I believe some of the places have happy hour, too!
They literally have options for any cravings – Middle Eastern, all meat, seafood, Italian, Chinese, Japanes, American, Mexican, Pizza, Donuts, Ice Cream, French, Crepes, Salad Bar, etc. Lots of options, so take your time to walk through and see what’s available! I particularly like it because you can go with a group of people an order whatever you are craving.
Make sure to double check if they take cards. Most places do, but there are a few cash only spots or where cards have a minimum charge. Also, if you park in the Farmer’s Market lot, make sure to ask for a parking validation. This only works for the open lot, not the structure (structure get validated at Nordstrom).
The pizza place (next to the donut shop) was nothing special, but I do enjoy the Middle Eastern place and Loteria (Mexican Food). Chinese food is great if you want something already made and usually the line isn’t long.
All in all, it’s a great spot to check out when you’re visiting the Grove!

Im a basic bitch who loves all things farmers market .
As you can imagine this place was basically basic bitch heaven on earth. The food booths are overwhelming. And being the girl that I am I HAD to circle the entire place TWICE before I decided where I wanted to eat just in case .(My boyfriend was thrilled about that) I decided on the Brazilian buffet. Excellent choice .
I could have spent hours here tasting a lil of this and a lil of that but thankfully we had plans so it was a short trip here .
I will definitely stop in again next time though !

HOME AWAY FROM HOME! Truly the greatest Los Angeles landmark for locals, tourists, newbies, oldies, Farmers Market has something for everyone…
Endless delicious and authentic food options (literally just about every cuisine you could ever imagine), live music, bars, seasonal festivities, dog friendly, 2 hours free parking (with validation)… if those aren’t enough reasons to absolutely love the Farmers Market… then you clearly haven’t been to Kip’s Toyland. Kip’s is LA’s Oldest Toy Store Est. 1945, as well as being a proud tenant of the Original Farmers Market, Kip’s has kept its original and «old school» charm — no video games, no electronics, just the good stuff /​/​classic board games, play doh, yo-yo’s, rubik’s cubes, gak, slime, jacks, GI Joe’s, pick-​up stix, rock ‘em sock ‘em robots… Just to name a few, but like I said, the good stuff!

Expect sensory overload the first time you visit the Farmers Market! It’s an awesome place to get your regular groceries, try new foods and cuisines at one of the many restaurants, and meet up with friends for a snack or lunch. You’ll find a wide variety of vendors here, from small gourmet grocers, butchers, and fruit stands to a hot sauce store, candy shops and even a knife sharpener. Come with an appetite and a full wallet so you can make the most of your visit.

Wonderful place to grab a bite. Such a vast variety of cultural foods from American, Mexican, Asian and Brazilian. They have great sweets and desserts too.

I love coming to this Farmer’s Market. Out of all the one’s I frequent this is my favorite because it has more options and variety of fruits and veggies, in addition to other things. It’s also very close to a lot of entertainment and plazas which is convenient.

LOVE THE FARMER’S MARKET.
It’s a wonderful place to catch up with friends and eat really good food! I remember one time my fiend and I had to do a class assignment where we would have to observe the setting of any local farmer’s market. Of all places, we ended choosing THE farmer’s market of LA haha. We also decided to get food at one of the vendors to treat ourselves out. One can park at the parking structure near the Grove. Some people also parked across the street near Whole Foods and walk over… but beware because you might get your car towed! I can never get tired of this place :)

The Farmer’s Market is such a staple of the Westside! It has a variety of restaurants, with a wide range of price points. Plus fresh fruit, veggies and other artisanal items.
Plus, it’s conveniently located adjacent to The Grove. So, it allows for a nice family-​friendly outing.

We just happened to stumble onto the Farmers Market while we were at The Grove. There’s a trolley that travels along First Street between The Grove and Farmer´s Market. I wish we took advantage of that. At the Farmers Market, you can shop for groceries, eat at restaurants, look for specialty foods, and do some shopping. Nothing really appealed to me, but there’s a store called Light My Fire that carries a variety of hot sauces. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the area.

The Farmers Market, wow a definite stop if you find yourself in this side of LA. They have it all from fresh produce to donuts to a massive meat counter this place has it all. Ah my favorite are the candy apples and the vast selection fresh fruit. If you’re hungry you will find yourself with many many different options. From the Gumbo Pot, to crepes to Greek Food, yes they have it all. In the mood for a little alcohol, yep you’ll find that here as well. Sure the Grove offers many great restaurants, but nothing beats walking around the Farmers Market and having a bit of everything. Your tastebuds will thank you for the vast culinary options offered here. Make a visit to this place, sure parking is a little difficult at times, but once in a while it is worth the hassle.

I love this place. Yes it gets crowded and it’s a little maze-​like but I think that just adds to the charm it’s got such characters for a food market attached to the beautiful but rather standard Grove mall. It’s not fancy. It’s approachable and can feel like you aren’t even in Los Angeles… or California for that matter.
There are a variety of different food stalls and you can choose between delis, BBQ, Mexican, Singaporean, and more. I love the Banana Leaf steal. I always get their chicken satay with peanut sauce. Yum! There are also a few little stores in there that are fun to explore and some have some great specialty items that make great gifts around the holidays. There is also some great classic soft serve that you can get dipped in chocolate and there are a bunch of delicious bakery stalls as well.
I also love the little fruit markets. When I lived nearby I used to go every weekend for fresh mangoes and bananas. You can do some light shopping there.

Thru have everything you could want. Did of all kinds ranging from Mexican to Singaporean to Brazilian. You can come here after shipping at the grove. There’s plenty of people watching. And it feels so satisfyingly nostalgic as soon things are probably unchanged for decades. It’s one of my favorite places in Los Angeles. Just come early so you don’t have issues with parking. During certain times, it could be a zoo here.

I love coming here when I’m in LA, purely for the amount of food choices under one roof. What are you in the mood for? Pasta? Seafood? BBQ? Sweets? I’m telling you they have it all. I love coming here for lunch. It’s also a great place to come to find unique gifts if you’re looking for souvenirs.
There’s free two hour parking, just be sure to bring your parking ticket in to get it validated. Some places only have a stamp so if you don’t bring in your ticket, it might be difficult to get validated.

It’s whatever but I like pampas grill a lot and the grove but the farmers market doesn’t have amazing choices. Just my opinion

I remember coming to this farmers market over 15 years ago with my great grandmother and it still looks the same besides some modern alterations. All the food stands are great, plus you can’t go wrong with a fresh bagel with lox. This place is really wonderful for tourists and it does get very busy on the weekends. The Hanukkah celebrations are my favorite to attend because they light this big menorah and have arts and crafts for the kids. I highly recommend you try out farmers market if you have never been their and if you have been then you know exactly what I am talking about.

Farmers Market is another classic Los Angeles institution with a rich history and vibrant present. The market is located on Fairfax near La Brea and is usually packed with people shopping for food, meals, or just people watching.
The market is a hodgepodge of raw and cooked food vendors with several specialty shops. The real draw are the restaurants with a wide range of culinary options to satisfy any picky eater. You can quickly stuff yourself with fresh falafel, hot donuts, and even a gourmet hot dog.
The history of the market is also unique related to oil wells, race tracks, and a classic baseball stadium. There is a rich history here to discover among the wonderful smells and sights of the market. I recommend heading to the Farmers Market early and often while in Los Angeles.

Delicious, but pricey. Good, not great. Most places cash only.
Come here for FRESH food.
The food here is good, but don’t expect any bargains. We had the fish and chips and that set us back about $ 30 for two people. (Ouch)
Think of mall food courts when you consider the prices here. However, that’s expected for Beverly Hills.
The only things really «affordable» are the coffee and donuts. Great for a sweet morning snack.
Great place to take a seat and enjoy the live music offered on weekend mornings.

Malfunctioning — sensory overload. WOAH OVERWHELMED. So many scents and sights.
Holy smokes — «Farmers Market» is not an accurate phrase to describe this smörgåsbord of food, drink, and… I don’t even know what else.
Tucked into The Grove is a Willy Wonka-​like land of dougnnuts, candies, many places claiming to be «the best» ice cream, restaurants, coffee shops, desserts, desserts, desserts… did I mention desserts? Hot dogs, pancakes, produce stands, meat, high quality food store with mustards, balsamics, and cheeses. Literally, there is more you CAN find here than is missing.
Not only is it a fun place to eat, but even just to walk around. If you dislike crowds, it can become a bit warm with the crowds of people.
Also people-​watching here is a go, with lots of tables.
In summary, find everything, eat everything, miss nothing.

Farmers Market — entertainment for everyone. Fruit, restaurants, people watching, shopping.
Especially fun to visit during the Fall/​Winter months.

Absolutely worth multiple visits. Bring your appetite as you’re bound to encounter countless foods that tempt you.
This awesome little maze of vendors, restaurants, and open-​air seating makes for a great afternoon adventure or date night. It can get crowded, just like The Grove, so plan accordingly for time to wander and deal with the wall of people if you’re visiting at a busy time.
I recommend Du-par’s and any of the dessert spots!

I love it… It’s classic Los Angeles. I appreciate the history & variety of vendors at Farmers Market. And it’s much more laid back than the Grove. I like all the food stalls as there is something for everyone. From beignets to fish and chips to ice cream. They have it. And the other business range from wine merchants to hot sauces of all kinds to potpourri purveyors. There is definitely something for everyone. My advice is to walk it. Walk it all and come back to what you like. There is so much food to choose from. You can spend a whole afternoon there easy.
Farmer’s Market has its own parking lot that merchants validate upon purchase or you can also park at the Grove if you’re gonna cruise both. Meet me at 3^rd & Fairfax…

Every time we visit LA, this farmers market is a must place to go for mangoes!!! They always have a very perfect mangoes, big size and the important is they are sweet as honey! And perfectly riped, sweet & soft. Very yummy and addicted.
I’m always nuts here for mangoes since I can’t never find good sweet mangoes in my local groceries.
We’ve one favorite shop special for fruits, and they do validate the parking ticket too.
Beside mangoes, we bought some strawberries, cantaloupe, figs. Price wasn’t that bad for a very perfect fruits, with a high quality!
I would love to move to LA just for mangoes hahahahha

I enjoy Farmers Market because it reminds me of other farmers markets I’ve visited around the globe. Opened in 1934, the Original Farmers Market is open seven days a week. There are over 100 restaurants, grocers, tourist shops located at this corner of 3^rd Street and Fairfax Avenue.
There are a lot of food choices to choose from. It’s sort of like a glorified food court. I only grabbed a iced blended coffee drink in here because we had just had lunch but it was well worth walking around to check out the different vendors. I really want to go back just to grab some food. The merchants do validate so you can park and save. Be careful though, I don’t think they will validate for parking at the Grove. There are so many places to try, it can be overwhelming. With great LA weather, you will be in for a treat.

Il y a même une boutique dans le marché qui propose des spécialités françaises, anglaises ou italiennes (mais les fromages et vins ou biscuits importés sont hors de prix sans être exceptionnels).
Je vous conseille de manger sur place, la bière n’est pas chère à l’extrémité du market, et on peut manger des pizzas à la part, des spécialités asiatiques, ou bien de la cuisine cajun.
Attention, évitez le stand de crêpes à la française, hors de prix et pas exceptionnel.
C’est en revanche un endroit où l’on peut trouver du popcorn peu gras (très rare aux US) et sans sel ajouté.
Dernière astuce: pour vous garer, pensez à l’hypermarché en face si tout est plein, pas besoin de vous garer au Grove.

«Ici y a à voir et à manger» comme on dit !
Un très bel espace où venir vers les 11h pour déambuler entre les différents restaurants pour se faire une idée de ce que l’on va déjeuner. Du choix, plutôt de la qualité. Ensuite, on peut aller faire du shopping juste à côté dans The Grove.
On y trouve aussi: Parking, restrooms, magasins de souvenirs, échoppes alimentaires spécialisées.
