History

Established in 1994.

This salon is fully established with up scale clients that come in from Beverly Hills, Cheviot Hills, Beverlywood, Brentwood, Rancho Park, and the Palms Village, which is a known for college students. We give college students a break every time they come in for service. Show student ID and you will receive 35% off all services. And, if you are a senior citizen you will receive 35% off all services, as well.

Hi, I have been a cosmetologist since I graduated from high school. I attended cosmetology school in Iran and learned how to style hair. Then, I came to the USA in 1990. I attended Culver City Beauty College. I, also, studied with Vidal Sasson and Paul Mitchell, as well as, other scientific artists. I love higher education its important to move with the times. I have a passion to make people happy & beautiful. My goal is bring out the best in people by listening to their needs, so that I could provide them with the best possible service. My best advertisement has come from my clients referal.

Palms is so lucky to have Fariba and her team in the neighborhood! I have gotten The BEST blowouts here and I have seen everyone that works there they all do an outstanding job — I will never go to a blowout bar again.
Fariba has cut and colored my hair and it’s great — she uses an organic color that leaves my hair soft, shiny and healthy looking. Highly recommend!
The salon itself is chic and clean. Pop across the road for a pre-​haircut coffee at The Commissary.

Done my eyebrows there. Great experience! Apparently my eyebrows weren’t even for years after going to the same place and I noticed it only after getting prescription glasses. Fariba did a great job, now I have even brows. I will be definitely going there again. Overall pleasant and nice experience.

Cannot give enough stars to Fariba! She is meticulous, thorough, and an all around value if you’re looking for a quality haircut. She also gave my daughter who was 2 at the time an impromptu first hair cut all while spinning her chair and playing peek a boo with her! Fariba started cutting my hair when I was a tween 20 years ago at a children’s hair salon. My family has followed her ever since. She continues to cut hair for my parents, brother, sister, grandma, aunt and cousins. She is consistently excellent and does an amazing job threading eyebrows too. She is a gem and raised my bar so high that I haven’t been able to find a comparable hair salon near me. I Always get my hair cut by Fariba when I return home to visit my parents. No one else cuts like she can.

I would highly recommend this salon to anyone! Fariba worked me into her schedule just a few hours after I called, and she was so sweet and helpful in coming up with the right choice for my hair.

I needed a new look! I had long hair and some split ends. i just had a baby and a haircut is what I needed, I came across this salon and they we re an hour away from closing! Fabria was able to squeeze me in. I even had my hair wash and a relax hair treatment was put in my hair! I can’t begin to describe how good of a haircut she gave me! it was so beautiful, I loved it! I meant with my friends and husband for my birthday dinner, and I got so many compliments on my haircut. Ill definitely be returning for hair color change. Very pleased happy customer!

One not so good thing for me was
she has sharp long nails.
When she was taking care of my hair,
her nails scratched my face /​head
a couple of times and it really hurt.
I had no courage to speak out about it. :(

Fariba is the hair whisperer! I’m mixed and have thick curly hair… she knows exactly how to tame my tresses. Be it blow dry, conditioning treatment, cut, color… Oh my color! Highlights to die for! I’ve been coming to her for years, and will continue to do so. I trust her fully with my hair and often tell her, just do what you think I need. Not only is she talented, but she doesn’t try to up sell you on services you really don’t need. And the cherry on top, shes just a kind person all around.

Fariba is an understanding, professional, and straight up woman. She doesn’t sell you off like many hair salons do and her advice to you is coming straight from the heart with her hair styling knowledge and professionalism. She never once told me to cut my hair off or color it for the sake of business like many salons did (or chop my hair into layers) Her prices are so fair. I’ve never seen her trying to charge more money and having strings attached to her prices. She’s true to what she does and she is awesome to people who work with her and is always trying to make customers happy– her heart is huge. Her blow drys are the best– last for days!
Nails:
Minh is amazing and such a sweetheart. He’s immaculate at what he does. He lets you take your time and takes his time
to apply polish or give you an amazing massage, he converses with you and makes sure you are okay with everything he’s doing. He is hygienic (!!) which is so important with nails. His work is just like going to a big fancy nail salon where’d you’d pay $ 75 – 100 for, but just for $ 45 for a mani-​pedi. For $ 45 you get shaping, buffing, (did I mention) Minh’s amazing massage with lavender oil and cream, hot towel wrap, half leg scrub, and massage chair (pedi) and his quality polishes. Never felt rushed, he spent 2 ½ hours on me.
This modern salon provides so much to you. It’s in the heart of Palms by Cheviot and 2 mins to downtown Culver City.

Here’s my update… love this place. New salon is beautiful & super clean. Fariba is amazing. She has an eye for cut and color. I even got a Brazilian this time and my hair is beautifully straight. Her products are only the best for your hair. Very happy with the service and attention she give everyone.

I first started going to Fariba when she worked at a fancy, shmancy salon in Santa Monica. I was doing some work in television at the time, and Fariba came highly recommended from several «industry» people. She was clearly the best hairdresser in the salon, and I was sold after the first visit. From that point forward, I spent lots of time in Fariba’s chair and was never disappointed.
Then, one day, Fariba mentioned that she had an opportunity to open her own salon in a strip mall in the Palms area. She asked me what I thought and I told her, «if anyone can make it work, you can.» And that’s just what she did.
After several years, she outgrew that place and is now in a beautiful new space at Moror and Palms. And she is still going strong. I have recommended Fariba to lots of friends and colleagues, and they have all abandoned their former hairdressers and are now Fariba converts! LOL
Fariba is great at hair cutting, coloring, and styling, not to mention waxing and threading. And she is sassy, too. So, you will never be bored sitting in her chair!

Wonderful haircut! She translated the picture I brought in perfectly for my hair type/​face shape. One of the best hair cuts I’ve ever had.

I called in around 4pm, and they were able to schedule me in for a 6:30pm appointment for eyebrow threading.
I don’t get my eyebrows threaded often, so I’m not sure how great this place compares to others… but the lady who did mine was very very very meticulous! Used many tools that I couldn’t tell you to make my eyebrow game 100 times stronger than when I first came in.
Came out to $ 15, which isn’t bad for how much time and care she put into them. I’m definitely coming again!
Kind of hard to spot, it’s on the side of a building down Motor Ave.

I consider myself so lucky that Fariba opened her doors in my building (I live üpstairs). She is an amazing stylist and colourist. My hair has never looked better. She really does take time and care to get to know her clients, their needs and wants. Best thing for me is, I can wash my hair in the morning, and then pop down for a fabulous blow dry! No more frizzy mess!
Minh does my nails now, and, as above, they have never looked better. Acrylics look real and as thin as real nails. He has a great eye for color and design, so I just have him choose! Great food massages too!
