Fantastic Sams

Lulu is the best! I have been going to her for years now and have recommended many, many happy friends. Not only does she provide high quality slain-​level cuts but she makes you laugh and it’s always a treat to see her. I will definitely continue seeing her for many years to come!

I get my haircut from Lulu, Naz, and Michelle. They are nice and upbeat and do well for me. There is a good amount of chattiness here and I like it.
I love the shampoo service. It’s basically a massage for your head and scalp. I’m a lifer.

They charged me $ 10 to buzz off about a millimeter of hair off of my face. Manager herself said she was «in it for the money:.

Naz was incredible today. She listened understood and executed exactly what I was hoping for. I’ll be going back for my color again.

I was skeptical of Fantastic Sams at first because I just assumed it was like a Supercuts but I’ve been going here for a couple years now and I’ve been satisfied with my cut each time. Fast, reliable, friendly and cost-​effective. For someone who needs a haircut every 3 weeks like me, it makes a lot of sense. Cut and shampoo is only $ 18 + $ 5 tip and every 3^rd or 4^th cut you get $ 3 off.

LuLu is the one to go to! I have been going to her for a few years now and she always lifts my spirits and I leave with a big smile. She knows how I like my hair and always remembers the specifics. From greeting me with a big smile from the front door to makling me laugh while in her chair its a great therapeutic session every 4 weeks. LuLu is the bright star there! Oh yeah… and she always smells wonderful!

Michelle is awesome! I just returned after a month to get my hair colored and since Lulu (see previous review! Lulu is amazing!) wasn’t available, Michelle was able to take me right away. She consulted with me about what I wanted and she nailed the perfect color! She was even able to color correct an area that I had botched myself. (Trust me, leave color to the professionals!) I appreciate how clean it is here and the atmosphere is great! Thank you ladies!

This was my first time at this place.
When I sat down, no one greeted me or acknowledged my existence.
I sat and was ignored for 20 minutes and got up and left.
I will never spend money here.
Both ladies were more concerned about yachting amongst themselves then helping customers.
Don’t go to this place.

Went here a few months back and had my hair cut by Robin, she was so amazing! She did such a great job, she cut my hair just like I asked her to, not only that she knew how to hold a conversation, I felt as if we had been friends for years! I will definitely be coming back soon!

I came from out of town and needed my hair done for a wedding. Evan was amazing! I just told him I needed my hair up and wanted some curls. My hair doesn’t hold a curl well but somehow my curls lasted 8 hours! Plus he was a blast to talk to. Thank you Evan!

I’ve probably gotten my haircut at every barbershop in Hollywood, but I always keep coming back to Naz. She is a master of her craft.

Came here in a pinch, couldn’t make it to my barber in the valley, and LULU cut my hair. I was happy with the cut, and the best part is that she’ll shampoo and condition your hair if you ask, all for $ 18. She massaged my head as she washed my hair, leaving it feeling awesome, clean, and tingly! The ladies there are very nice; it’s a good place for a quick cut at an affordable price. Ask for LULU

If you get the opportunity, ask for Robin. First time I’ve been there and she was terrific. I’ve been to a lot more expensive salons in Hollywood and I feel she gave me a better haircut than most. She’s also a great conversationalist.

Every time I move to a new city, I search for a stylist until I find one that has talent. Naz has talent.

Lear is a great stylist, she is personable. She also takes her time and makes sure to give you a great cut. She is very professional and I always request her whenever I come in.

I don’t have a specific place I get my haircut so I decided to come here on a Saturday to get a long overdue haircut.
There were 2 stylists there and both were very welcoming. The stylist I had was ROBIN and she did a fantastic job.
The 2 things I usually dread the most is having awkward conversation while someone cuts my hair and of course just getting a terrible cut.
Robin was not only great with my hair, but she is very easy and fun to talk to! A very upbeat personality which is refreshing. She also gives you good recommendations with your hair and really takes her time to make sure you are completely happy with your hair.
Haircut was $ 22 so it’s definitely a great deal.

I was so nervous about getting my hair cut after the last disaster at another location.
I figured I would come in and give this place a try after reading good reviews.
Both ladies that had great references on here were busy so I had Robin cut my hair. So glad I did!
She did great! I am happy with the work she did! She was not a scissor happy stylist and she took her time to make sure I liked my hair cut.
In the end I would recommend this place. Everyone that had come in while I was there waiting left happy and all their hair looked good.
AND all 3 ladies were nice with smiles on their faces.

Second time here and the stylists are quick and very personable.
I’m new to the area so they have now gained a reoccurring customer.

I am the kind of guy who doesn’t usually know the difference between a good haircut and a «meh» haircut. I realize I’ve had a great haircut when someone compliments me, or a bus driver grabs my ass after I scan my Metro card. Lulu did such a great job the first time she cut my hair, that my girlfriend freaked out. She was so hot and bothered that she bought me tickets to the World Arm Wrestling Championship! She even wore a shredded «Peterbuilt» t-​shirt, and pushup bra, so that when I met my arm wrestling hero, Lance «Rheumatoid» Reynolds, he knew I was The Man!
I was grateful, but skeptical. Hey, Lulu could have just gotten lucky. It turns out I’m the one who got lucky when I found Lulu. She’s cut my hair many times now, and my butt cheeks are so sore from all the squeezes I get that I started wearing underwear again for the first time since kindergarten.
I’m also not the kind of guy to spend any real money on a haircut. So it’s very fortunate that Lulu is under a long-​term, exploitive, indentured-​servitude-​style contract with Fantastic Sams on Sunset and LaBrea.
One last thing: she trims my eyebrows! No one has ever done that before! I went from looking like the old man in «UP» to looking like Channing Tatum!
