Fast, easy and amazing 3 page analysis for $ 50. I started boot camp and a low carb diet so wanted to see before and after vs. just looking at the scale. You’ll leave the scan with 3 pages of body analysis and the tech will walk you through the results. Even thought I don’t look amazing in a bath suit, I was happy to learn that my stats were very healthy for someone my age. You’ll learn bone weigh/​density, fat weight, muscle weight, % of visceral fat (bad fat), etc. Very cool — any athlete or person trying to change their body should try this out.

An interesting & educational experience for my partner (for who this was a rather unique birthday present) and myself. We made our appointments via email from the UK as part of a two week holiday in California and Oregon.
We booked the RMR and DXA scan through Daphne, who could not have been more knowledgeable, friendly or helpful-​scheduling the bookings in for us and also administered the RMR test.
David was efficient, competent, friendly and made DXA scan straightforward and seamless.
The whole testing process was relaxed and felt casual but was conducted in a pleasant, proficient and professional manner.
I would not hesitate to recommend the UCLA EMDR Lab for those individuals who require this level and quality of testing and information.

I received the full battery of tests (RMR, VO2 and Body Composition) several months ago, sorry it took so long to rate; what can I say. Well, the staff was awesome, the price was right and the transition from test to test was seamless. I got all my questions answered and learned a lot about why the tests were an important part of any solid fitness program. I plan to repeat the tests periodicaly, so I can accurately assess the progress of my training in cycling.

I coupled a DXA with a resting metabolic rate test. $ 50 for each test is a steal. The DXA is like sitting on a giant document scanner; the RMR is like meditating for 25 minutes with a clear plastic dome over your head. Daphne (RMR) and Tammy (BCP) are both professional and sweet.
If you have fitness and body composition goals, get these done and follow up with a DXA every few months.

I just finished my second quarter DEXA scan at the facility. It is amazing to find somewhere as cheap and skilled as these guys. It was also great to see my percentage body fat dropping dramatically with the program that I’ve been on. I’d recommend this to any of my friends!

Great lab with great people. Easy to get an appointment and only $ 50 for the Body Composition DXA scan! The DXA scan was a breeze and the technician was very nice and pleasant. I am very happy with my experience.
The only issue I had with the scan was with my body fat percentage result– it put me at about 10 percentage points higher than other measurements by a variety of other devices. Considering I am tall, lean and have a low/​normal BMI, I was surprised by a high number that put me in the 75^th percentile (or obese). In hindsight, I should have said something, but I do know there is a possibility of 3%-10% error. Guess I got the high end of the spectrum. I plan to go again in six months and compare the results.
Tip: Finding the building was easy, but I had a few issues– First, pull the door to enter the building, don’t turn the handle (I thought it was locked at first). Find the elevator, go to second floor, follow the numbers. This may sound easy, but it’s not obvious.

My wife and I went in to have DXA Body Composition scans done. The subsidized price is only $ 50 and it’s an awesome value for people who really want a super accurate measurement of their fat and lean body mass. We have been on an exercise and diet régime and plan on using the DXA scan every 4 – 6 months to check on how our body recomposition is going. Very casual environment and friendly people, I definitely recommend it… very useful and fascinating information.

The staff is so friendly and nice. Great price and great scan. It’s a little tricky to find the place but nothing major just read the directions well. I will go again after I work on my BodyFat%.Try it out and go.

I got a DXA scan here recently. The scan was quick and painless, and they went through every bit of the detailed results with me afterwards. You receive an extremely accurate (within 3%) breakdown of your body fat percentage and distribution, as well as bone density and lean tissue. You even get data on how much visceral fat you have — the bad fat that builds up around organs.
Highly recommended. Great price for the service.
