Specialties
We offer full-scope legal representation to families and individuals who are facing eviction. Free consultations and advice upon walking into our office. Representation fees are on a sliding scale and depend on a renter’s ability to pay. EDN assists with preparing an answer to an unlawful detainer (UD) and representation during litigation and a trial by jury.
History
Established in 2004.
The Eviction Defense Network (EDN) was founded in 2003 by former Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles staff members Elena Popp and Ridge Gonzalez. Frustrated by the lack of funding at LAFLA which resulted in 98% of eligible clients being rejected for services, Elena and Ridge conceived a social entrepreneurial model that will close the 98% access to justice gap for tenants facing eviction in Los Angeles County.
