At Enzo & Angela, we make our own unique ravioli and gnocchi dishes — Our fish arrives daily and we pride ourselves on our quality and freshness. We create our authentic Italian food from genuine Italian pure ingredients. Our menu includes favorites like Osso Buco, Positano, Pappardelle Vitello, Rigatoni Filetto & Funghi and Spaghetti Pescatore. Our flavorful dishes can be enjoyed with a beer or a glass of wine while you soak in the atmosphere of our lovely restaurant.

We are located on the north west corner or Barrington and Wilshire just south of Brentwood in West Los Angeles with outdoor dining on those beautiful California days and warm evenings.

History

Established in 2005.

Enzo & Angela is the fourth restaurant opened by Angela and Enzo Battarra. Both of them have experience as chefs, and have been in the restaurant business for over thirty years. The combination of their particular culinary talents (Enzo works on classic Italian dishes, Angela specializes in soups and desserts) has created an unbeatable pairing of amazing cuisine at our restaurant.

We are committed to only using genuine Italian ingredients in our preparation to provide the best tasting food for our diners.

We cater to homes and offices and we are very happy to work with you to make the perfect menu. We do have free delivery for lunch Monday thru Friday and dinner Monday thru Saturday.

Angela and Enzo Battarra came to the United States in the 1980s. Their first restaurant was Ristorante Positano on Main Street in Santa Monica. Since then, they’ve been an unstoppable cooking team opening up three more restaurants — with the latest being Enzo and Angela. They have perfected their craft and refined their skills, and are proud to serve some of the best Italian cuisine in all of Los Angeles. They look forward to welcoming you for an incredible meal at Enzo & Angela!

Weak. Beyond weak. Came on a wednesday night and man was it dead. Whatever i dont mind that at all if the food is good. But it wasn’t. And sheesh the menu was expensive af. Cot damn I had to resort the the cheap items. The $ 18 items. I got the bolognese and tried a bit of the gazpacho gnocchi. The bolognese was very weak. Wasn’t as good as other places I’ve been to. The gazpacho gnocchi was absolutely horrible. Whatever they put in that is disgusting. Never ever get that. The best part of the meal was the diy bruschetta. Never coming back here.

I really want to love this place, but I have to say that it’s just OK. I came in once for dinner, and another time I got take out. I really loved their seafood salad, with calamari, shrimp, and octopus. It reminds me of a dish I had in Calabria. The pork tenderloin was also pretty good. The night I went, the restaurant was not that crowded, but the service was also slow. The spaghetti pasta was a little overcooked.
When I ordered take out a few weeks later, they messed up a dish I ordered. I called and brought up the issue, but they didn’t seem like they cared much.
I will probably order from them again, especially when I crave their seafood salad. I might want to try their paninis as well.

For a neighborhood place, it is a lovely experience. For foodies, their are more exceptional places to get Italian food on the Westside, but they are more pricey. Here, you are never rushed, the staff is so accomodating, the food quite good and authentic and well-​priced. I like it because you’re not shouting over noise and people are not sitting right on top of you. Their specials are exceptional. deals.

This, for my money, is the best Italian restaurant in Brentwood, which is saying something, since there are several excellent Italian places on San Vincente Boulevard. Enzo & Angela, however, is not on San Vincente — it’s a few blocks away, on the northwest corner of Wilshire and Barrington, on the second floor of a strip-​mall — which may be why it tends to be less crowded. The food is outstanding. If you are in the mood for an old favorite, the comfort food of high end Italian cooking, you’ll find many examples on the menu, and they’re really great. But do listen to the list of specials before making up your mind, because it’s here you’ll find Enzo and Angela (yes, they’re real people, the owners and chefs) really expressing themselves. If you haven’t been, you’re in for a real treat.

I’ve been to this location two times, and I enjoyed myself both times.
The food was probably a 3-​star. Everything was tasty, and between the 3 of us having dinner, we covered the grilled calamari appetizer, and three entrees (risotto, bolognese and chicken breasts in a truffle sauce). The food, as mentioned, was solid all around. Not mind-​blowingly spectacular, and for $ 19 – 25 per entrée, I think we got about what we paid for.
The bump up to 4 stars is because of two key factors:
1) The parking is easy. It’s a valet lot that’s only $ 3 with validation. 3 dollars is nothing on the west side. It’s probably $ 2 to feed a meter on the street. And while some people might actually dislike this next part, the valet just handed me my keys back, and I hopped in my car, which I could see from the valet station. Saved money on tip that way and got to shoot right out. No fuss, no muss.

2) The owner/​host is hilarious. Easily the happiest person I think I’ve ever seen inside a restaurant. Cracking jokes with every patron, got all the orders right, knew exactly what ingredients were in everything. The man clearly enjoyed his job and was having fun. That rubs off. We tipped nicely.
The only negative was that the lights were on ultra bright when we arrived at 7:30. Around 8pm they turned them down to a more pleasant level, but that was a minor infraction.

Inexpensive business lunch option — cloth linens, large tables, good service, quiet restaurant. Visually, it’s very nice.
The food is ok. Nothing I would ever crave, but it wasn’t horrible. If you’re going with a group, or need a place to meet with someone, this will do, but I wouldn’t go back for the food only.
The calamari was a standout in that it wasn’t the typically overly fried thing, but it was kind of tasteless, even after I covered it in lemon.
I got a sandwich — the Positano. A tiny amount of prosciutto swimming in a sea of bread. Tasted pretty good, but they need to add more prosciutto, or use less bread. Maybe drizzle a little olive oil and serve it open-​faced as a bruschetta.

Enzo & Angela is one of the regular restaurants I frequent in the Brentwood/​West LA area. It is authentic Italian, served enthusiastically and without pretense, in a dim, cozy, newly renovated yet rustic dining area. It’s great for date night as well as business meetings. I always stick to the pasta dishes, which are made fresh in house.
I adore the complimentary warm, freshly baked bread with tomato garlic bruschetta. It is flavorful and addictive, and I would probably be perfectly content if my dinner at Enzo’s consisted of a basket of complimentary bread and a glass of wine. My favorite entrees are the seafood linguini and gnocchi with bolognese. The linguini is brimming with fresh seafood including clams, mussels and shrimp in a garlicky white wine sauce. The presentation is impressive, and the dish looks huge, but I often finish it in one sitting. I love that they are accommodating with their menu. Gnocchi with bolognese is not a menu item, but they are flexible in making dishes on request. The bolognese is chunky, rich and rustic, and the gnocchi is fluffy, fresh and filling. I tend to avoid the meat dishes, or anything other than pasta here. While they are good, they are not great, nothing like the pasta.
The service here is outstanding. We always have the same waiter, and he is filled with energy and charisma. He always makes it feel like an authentic Italian dining experience, and does an exceptional job making sure our water glasses and wine glasses are amply filled.
There is $ 3 valet parking in the plaza, but there are also meters along Wilshire and lots of parking in the residential side streets.

man was I excited to eat here. I dont frequent italian restaurants often because their food is so heavy in nature, but when I do, there’s nothing more I love to eat than Italian!
the interior was cozy, the waiter was nice, and the menus look authentic. I ordered the Ravioli with lobster meat and my fiancé ordered linguini with clams.
my dish looked amazing, drenched in sauce and looked like a good scrumptious plate of raviloi to be frank. I bit in and then… well. there was no damn flavor. I tried another and another and just not much of anything. the sauce was bland and the raviloi seriously had no taste; I honestly was just at loss of words. food should not taste that bland.
I tried my fiancés dish and it was completely bland as well. what the hell chefs? do you taste your own food?
my friend ordered a veal dish and i had a bite of that and that was actually pretty good.
there’s just nothing worse than expecting great food for your cheat meal and then being disappointed.

So disappointed with this place. I can’t believe this place has a 4 star rating! I split two dishes: the lobster ravioli and the linguini with clams. The lobster ravioli didn’t have any in-​depth flavors. Linguine with clams were just okay. It was a bit lackluster. Also, parking is $ 3 for valet. No self parking in this plaza unless it’s 15 min parking.

Took my niece to lunch cause she was craving pasta.
Our dishes were good. They give you huge portion and lots of sauce. I got the standard meat sauce over noodles and I thought they mistakenly gave me lasagna. My niece’s pasta was covered in pesto that she had to scrap off before each bite.
Serve was good. Our drinks never emptied.

My kids invited me for Mother’s Day. I was not enthusiastic about going to a restaurant: they show off with air conditioning that leaves you frozen, plus music that prevents conversation…
Enzo & Angela show off with the quality and the price of their food, the good service, the heartwarming atmosphere, the sense of humor. The temperature was cozy and the music subtle. This evening was a wonderful Mother’s Day gift!
I live in TO but, as they say on the Michelin Guide «it is worth the trip»!

I met with my friend and we had lunch and now I have to update my review from 4 stars to 5 because not only did they remember my order from previous times which was exactly what i was going to ask for (that goes a long way with me), service was awesome.

Pros: tasty albeit a little on the oily side

TL;DR: I will echo some of the other reviewers and say this place has great tasting pasta, but at a price point that is WAY above what you’d expect for comparable food. The wine selection was just ok, too. Suffice to say, we were the only party in the cavernous dining area (although a few other parties came in as we were leaving).

What a strange place. I mean that in the best possible way.
Interesting contemporary art on the walls, giant floor to ceiling windows overlooking Wilshire, not very many tables, but lots of larger parties of people, in a strip mall, good food and wine… I don’t really know what category to place this place in…
Also, the food and prices are not as advertised on their website. I went there thinking dishes were going to be $ 12-​$ 18, only to find that entrees are on average $ 28.
That said, you should go here. It’s no frills, really tasty Italian food. You get yummy, warm bread with a really tasty bruschetta to start. They have a 4 course dinner menu with about 4 choices for each course for $ 28, good deal if you are a meat eater (which I am not) So I went with the butternut squash, truffle ravioli, which was AMAZING! So rich, so covered in truffles. Totally worth it.
I also had the House Chianti, my husband the House Merlot… we were both equally pleased with our meal.

If you’ve noticed, Italian food isn’t my go-​to; it’s actually last on my list. And it’s not because I don’t like it; it’s because I have a really really really long list. BUT when I do go Italian, I prefer unique smaller joints that boast authenticity and fresh ingredients, like Enzo & Angela (sorry, you won’t find me at Olive Garden, Bucca di Beppo or C&O – they just ain’t my style).
Lucky for me, E&A is across the street from my office; I go here frequently with coworkers and colleagues. They have a lovely open dining room on the second floor of a mini-​mall and there’s a large window that opens up to Wilshire Blvd. They’ve got a vast menu of pastas, salads, risotto, and everything that tastes good with cheese on top, including some divine pizza.
I always end up going with the rich risotto-​something for lunch; it’s decadent and filling and I love the creaminess of it. This time around, my risotto was full of salmon and scallops with a rose cream sauce. SO FRICKIN’ GOOD! I should’ve ordered a nice crispy white wine with it but since it was a business lunch, I stuck with ice tea.
I’ve tried just about everything from this place and it’s all tasty; my one complaint is that they’re a little liberal with the salt but that’s my own hangup. Otherwise, the service is excellent and the dining room is a great place to chat; not too loud and enough space between tables to speak privately.

Great Dinner! Came here on a Tuesday night for a business meeting/​dinner. Seemed that most of the other patrons were also having dinner meetings. It’s a cool spot, nice, relaxed and not loud so you can talk. The waiter was great; super nice and funny. The view is nice as well.
I had the house pinot nior and my associate had the house merlot; both good. We split the Caprese Salad appetizer which was super yummy — don’t forget to drizzle some of the olive oil and balsamic vinegar on it. i really like that it doesn’t come all drenched and you can fix it the way you like it.
For dinner I had the gnocchi in the Gorgonzola rose sauce. Loved it! Super reach calorie fest, but I didn’t care. My associate who is gluten free had the filet and veggies. She said it was very good. The bread was very tasty as well.
Know before you go…
1. It is UPSTAIRS in the little corner strip mall where My Fit Foods is located. You can get upstairs via the elevator behind valet or via the stairs on the south west corner of the lot.
2. Valet parking is the way to go. It’s $ 3 plus tip.
