ELTREBOLISCLOSED Went here last weekend to try it out but they were closed down. There sign with a clover on it wasn’t there anymore either. I knew I had the right place because the front window had a peeling sticker on it with the words«ACOS&BURRITOS»

The perfectly quaint neighborhood spot deep in South LA. Boasting fancy cursive letters, «Autenitica Comida Oaxacaquena» atop the green, red and white marquee this storefront eatery does not disappoint. El Trebol translates to «the clover» in English denoting luck and good fortune. From the looks of the things we certainly thought we were testing our luck going inside to test the menu. There is a strong Oaxacan stable of dishes along with some American favs like burgers, fries and pizza. The familia that runs the joint couldn’t be more welcoming. When I didn’t finish my French Fries, the waiter/cook/busboys kept asking why I didn’t eat them all. «No, bueno?» «You don’t like?» Couldn’t figure out how to say, «I’m all full» in spanish, so the next thing I know, are table gets a free round of fancy desserts. I waddled outta the joint stuffed like a piñata. Def worth a visit.
