This is our to go spot for pupusas! My BF found this place because he use to go to school at LACC and its very close by. Every Thursday is karaōke night. We came here with a couple friends on a Thursday night because we were craving some pupusas and my BF wanted to sing. Lots of songs you can choose from and the DJ is nice enough to DL the song if he doesn’t have it. For the pupusas, the portion is a decent size. You can get really full off of 2 pupusas. I got the cheese with pork pupusas and also the cheese and lorac flower pupusa. Very cheese once is hot. Comes with a red sauce and some cabbage that you place on top. SOOOGOOD! But you can get so full after eating 1 and a half. I also really like their tamales. We always order the chicken tamale. I like their tamales because its very moist and wet. A big piece of chicken inside but kinda dry because it’s chicken breast. Also for dessert, we always get this fried plantain banana stuffed with crème inside. So good. The sweetest from the plantains is just the right amount of sweetness and then bite into the banana you get this sweetness of the crème mixed together with the deep fried bananas=perfection.

Es el peor lugar que pueda haber en USA. Es pésimo el servicio y ni hablar de la gente que esta en la entrada… Es lamentable que es un lugar latino en donde odian a los latinos!

Shitty customer service. Waitresses were to busy flirting with the men at the bar while my family and I tried desperately to flag down our waitress. Our orders were incorrect, my kids drinks were incorrect and had to order them sodas cause they were out of lemonade. How do you manage to run out of lemonade? On top of all this they tried to charge us for their mistakes. Owners never showed their face to solve our issues, instead a mob of waitresses and security guards surrounded my wife when she tried disputing their mistakes as im walking out the restroom with my 7 year old. What a peice of shit so called restaurant. Unpleasant experience period. Oh yeah watch out for the floods in the kitchen. I won’t ever set foot in this place again. You’ve lost my business. As a Salvadoran myself I’ve never been so disappointed like this. The loncheras have better customer service than this place.

I love the Pupusas here! They are not skimpy with the ingredients and are always fresh. The pupusas revueltas and the chicharron are my favorite. I also enjoy the Yuca Frita and Chicharron.

Both my boyfriend and I are Salvadoran and this is definitely one of the best Salvadoran restaurants we know of. The pupusas are full of filling and they are very reasonable priced. Sometimes my boyfriend drives to LA just for these pupusas. They are that delicious. But, I do get very annoyed from having to wait a long time for the pupusas. It seems like they go to El Salvador to purchase the ingredients because they take too long. I wish they can speed up the process more. Other than that, I love their food.

This place is walking distance from my house, when I don’t cook the bf drags me here. Good Salvadorian food, I always get panes con gallina with an ensalada to drink, I tried ordering a piña colada an then a Margarita but was informed they didn’t have alcohol :(that’s why we gave it 3 stars… They seem to be trying to do more for entertainment but I wouldn’t be caught here after hours, or the weekend… Seems pretty scary. Waitresses are rude, but breathing down your throat when it’s time to sign the check… They are literally watching you.

I went here with coworkers for lunch. The food was good, the prices were fair, the place was clean and attractive. Service was on the slow side, but not horrible. The jukebox was too loud, but they were able to adjust the volume. Salvadoreans seem to like it — we were the only non-latino people in the place! I had pupusas which are a couple of dollars each and are only $ 1.00 on Mondays and Thursdays(as per signs posted in the restaurant. Weird watery sauce is served in syrup dispensers, I couldn’t discern a flavor, so I just opted for the picante slaw and the bottle of commercial hot sauce on the table.

This review is for the pupusas alone! Man o’man these pupusas are delish! I have found another joint that knows have to cook their pupusas! And its so much closer to my home. The restaurant is in a skethy shady area but not dangerous! So dont be scared to go! LOL! The pupusas are very hearty, full of any filling u like I like cheese and revueltas! The size of them are decent I can only eat three and the fried plantains are also yummy! The only downside is that the food takes forever to come out but for me its worth the wait so dont come in dying of hunger! There is a parking lot entrance on the side u can use to park ur car.

This place is where I had the first pupusa in my life five years ago so it deserves some stars for that. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy — it’s near a Jon’s and since I don’t have a nice car, I usually opt for street parking. It’s one of those places that you can’t see into even if you walked by so it’s hardly inviting to those who don’t know what’s inside. From what I hear, this is a happening place where people go to meet others and dance on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Anyway, I only go there to eat. I love being stared at by every Salvadoran in the room when I walk in. Have they never seen an Asian person before??? Anyway, the waitresses are all hostile to me(seems to be a theme when I go to pupuserias) but whatever, I’ll put up with it for a good pupusa. 80% of the time, the pupusas here are really good — I usually get revueltas made with masa de arroz. Once in a while, the pupusa is too thick or chewy or the filling to masa ratio is off. The service is REALLYSLOW. Don’t go if you’re really hungry. On busy nights, you kind of have to stalk other people’s tables and wait for them to leave.

This is THE place to go when hung over! LOL just order a «caldo de res»(beef stew) and add some hit souce… The heat if the soup and intensity of the hot souce will make you sweat it off. They make it once you order so expect to wait a d meanwhile have a «chesse pupusa» with a «ensalada» drink to get things started!
