Maintenance headed by Mario came less than 24 hours after placing a work order, they fixed our light, a panel that came loose and a drawer; we appreciate Mario and the entire maintenance team! They really care about their tenants and are a delight.

Super nice building and great staff! Andi, the leasing agent I worked with, went above and beyond in making sure I found the right unit! He was super friendly and helpful which made for a great apartment searching experience! Ask for him when you come! He’s the best!

Save yourself big bucks and frustration. Overpriced apartments and staff that is either unwilling and many times really unable to help. Utility service charges are inflated and there are weird surcharges on the monthly bill. They DO NOT consider «normal wear and tear» normal wear and tear — so be prepared to pay for cleaning your apartment and painting the walls — because hey — why should they pay for preparing a normally-​lived-​in apartment for the next tenant. Please. Stay away.

after the moving out review, now comes the moving out one:
They tried to charge me for my mat i wanted to trash because they have no space to store it in the trash room when moving out. Cheap !
+ they send me a bill of +650 us dollars when i moved without even checking they indeed owed me money, i can only advise to tenants to watch for their receipt and transactions online.

SAVE YOURSELF. LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I was on the waitlist for about 4 months and I called to request a refund of my $ 200 bc I found somewhere else to live that was a better fit for me. Here we are a month later and I still have not received a refund.
I emailed about four different times and the management seemed to «always be on lunch, or out of office» when I called. I even came one day during regular business hours and I was told that the ppl that I needed to speak with weren’t going to be back in office until the following day –_​_​_​_​_​_​_​–
Then I received an email requesting that I sign a W9 and include my social security number in order to get my $ 200 back and be removed from the waitlist. Absolutely not! I never agreed to that when I put $ 200 down to be on the waitlist.
Then they asked for proof that they had actually cashed my $ 200 check bc they did not seem to have this information in their records… so unorganized.
So I sent them a picture of the check that THEY had cashed and they FINALLY agreed to Fedex me the check which was of course NOT TRUE.
The following day, I received a phone call informing me that they’ve «mailed me the $ 200 check instead of sending it via Fedex, bc apparently «there was some miscommunication in the office.»
I will wait 7 – 10 business days and then I will take further action and they will be hearing from my lawyer bc I have never in my life dealt with such an unprofessional organization and this is absolutely ridiculous.
I feel so lucky that I am not living here and I feel bad for all of the residents that have to deal with the over worked and underpaid management team because it definitely shows.

This place is like a prison, managers are rude and annoying, you can’t invite you friends over, you can’t let your friends park on your own parking spot, your friends can’t wait for you in the lobby while you going down to get them, manager will call security on them n the security will call cops on them, they just looking for the reason to bitch at you, just Because some tenants did RBNB their n they got coughs they treat everybody like you are in prison, constantly watching you constantly chasing you with some annoying stuff. If you have friends visiting you, they can’t walk around the building with out you, because the security manager will chase them down and catch them and deactivate they keyfob. They had 97 tenants moving out as soon as they lease was over.

We have been apt hunting in Hollywood for a while now but after an amazing showing by Andi I we think we finally found a home. He did a great job showing us everything that Eastown had to offer with gyms, shops, and the various floor plans he helped us find exactly what we were looking for! If you are looking in the Hollywood area I highly suggest asking for Andi at Eastown!

A few more things that have come up after a year of being an Eastown resident.
The water pressure is not that great. And I’ve been experience no hot water or it’ll run out during my shower. Not fun at all.
And I can count on the leasing office to not find my delivered package. Twice I’ve had to reorder something because they couldn’t find it even though the tracking said it was signed for. And the other 5 times they found it only after i insisted and they went back and forth telling me they didn’t have it at least thrice.
As of late the cleaning people, who are very nice, have been leaving their cart right outside my unit. It’s a bit of an annoyance. But not horrible.
The elevators have a knack for breaking down. So I always allot a few extra minutes for me to get down to my car.
This place is insanely overpriced. The looks are appealing, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes I feel like I live in an upgraded version of the projects for over $ 2k a month.

I’ve lived here now since April 2015, I live in a unit in building 1 facing one of the courtyards — which means it’s very quiet and doesn’t feel like you’re living in the middle of bustling Hollywood — a big plus! I’d suggest to anyone to try finding a courtyard unit.
It’s a great complex with tonnes of amazing amenities — the gym is huge and is like a mini Equinox, the same brand of machines — there’s no reason to have a gym membership. I’m also a fan of Barry’s Bootcamp which just opened in the building so that’s a big bonus.
With over 500 units things are bound to come up with difficult neighbors from time to time, but the management and the office have been great at helping to fix things quickly — a noisy neighbor in particular who leaves her poor dog barking and Unilocaling nonstop for 13 hours each day is an issue which they instantly jumped on for me and are trying to fix asap.
I’d suggest this place to anyone who’s looking for a modern, convenient apartment community with lots of brilliant amenities.

Thank you Eastown, you made me go pick up my gifts on Christmas day from Fedex Office which is super far away.
READ BEFORE YOU MOVE IN:
1) strict management.
You have to escort your guest everywhere on their property. (We had a situation, where they kick off my friend from the gym, cause I went to the bank on the corner for 5 minutes)
2) stupid security system.
They have call box machines, but they don’t work.
Forget about delivery to your door.
You have to go downstairs and open a door for your guests or delivery guy.
Forget about delivery package cause FedEx, UPS, USPS, LaserShip and all other delivery companies deliver only to the Leasing office, NO DELIVERY AFTER 7pm. FEDEX DELIVER TILL 8pm.
3) This building vibrates/​shakes.
I can feel how my neighbors close they doors.
4) NOISE.
My apartment facing to Hollywood blvd.
I’m tired to hear Ambulance /​Firefighters /​Police cars.
5) SUPER EXPENSIVE RENT $ 2300 for a studio.
I have a neighbor that pays only $ 1800 for his studio. RIPOFF!!!
I FEEL LIKE I’M IN PRISON!

My wife and I moved into Eastown on August 21^st of this year. We have been happy with the complex overall. The Pool, Gym and common area are awesome. Derek schedules all kinds of fun activities that you just don’t see happening at other complexes in Hollywood, or anywhere for that matter. Michael is a very good general manager as well.
The residents are generally very friendly, not too many idiots here as there were at Sunset and Vine which is where we moved from… except some of the dudes in the gym who don’t know or don’t give a s*** what re-​rack your weights means.
The units are nice, except the cork flooring is a bit cheap and we can hear our new neighbor above us lumbering around his apartment at all hours… they should have went sustainable hard wood with good insulation.
The area is ok, aside from the seedy back street where the dog area is at present, which is my biggest complaint about Eastown. They advertise as «pet friendly» which is fine if you mean they ALLOW pets but if you own a dog, (we have two rescue pups) that needs to go out to the bathroom, it’s bad news. They have no on-​site pet area so you are forced to take your dog to an area outside the complex that is very sketchy. My wife and I found several drug containers in the «dog area» since moving here and you see a lot of people cruising and stopping to make hand-​offs to people. A lot of dog owners have caught onto this problem and now simply let their dogs pee and crap in the beautiful landscaping areas on the property which is killing the plants here and making my pets jump up there when they smell other dog urine.
Overall it’s a nice place to live, they just need to get an on-​site pet area squared away and I’d bump up the rating to a fourth star, which says a lot because I’m very hard on apartment complexes in LA as they usually fall way short of what you’re paying for.

Andi in the leasing office was so fun to work with! He gave a great tour of the apartment complex. And while juggling two clients at the same time he made the experience feel very personalized and like he cared! The facilities are great!

I recently relocated back to LA from New York and was disappointed with the majority of apartments I was finding. Places I used to live in had gone up in price significantly without offering the upgrades or the amenities those prices should reflect. Enter: Eastown. From the moment I stepped into the lobby I knew my expectations would be exceeded. What I didn’t expect was to find an apartment in my price range. Derek, our leasing agent, showed us around the property (from the pool to the gym to the kitchen and common areas — this place is ridiculous) and helped me find exactly what I was looking for at the right price. I guess I can’t technically review the property as I don’t move in for a few weeks, but it already feels like home.

As a prospective tenant in the Eastown community, I have been exceptionally impressed. The leasing office offered helpful, friendly, and prompt service. The units are beautifully designed to maximize space and provide tranquility, and the overall environment of the apartment community is welcoming and aesthetically pleasing.
Our leasing consultant, Andi, also provided amazing customer service, which was professional, friendly, and honest.
I look forward to being a part of Eastown apartments!

Eastown is my new home after so much searching and no luck. The agent, Andi, was so helpful, and is genuinely interested in helping people find a place where their energy can thrive. He is the most personable human, and gives a 5-​Star tour. He took us to a furnished studio and showed us the possibilities of the space. He never pressured us or tried to over-​sell, he really just wanted to show us around. After living in the complex for a few days now, it makes sense that he would have so much confidence about the community — it’s awesome.
I will recommend Andi Wallace and Eastown to anyone interested to hear — simply, the best.

I absolutely love the place, the apartments are beautiful inside. The features and admenitues are amazing! Most of all the gym is like no other I have seen amazing. Great customer service and friendly. Must see this place :)

Yes, Eastown is a beautiful apartment complex; however, be very cautious when selecting a unit and signing a lease here. I chose a unit on the bottom floor where I constantly hear very loud drills & jack hammers from the hours of 7 am to 5 pm. This is due to the new businesses opening. Great for long term, bad for current tenants. This was definitely not mentioned on my move in date in July.
It’s become unbearable and unfortunately management will not accommodate you since you signed a lease that contained a construction clause. I cannot wait for my lease to end, 9 months and counting.

I have never met a leasing office who spends their time trying to convince you why you shouldn’t live at their property– especially when you call knowing which unit you want, have a near move in date, and have already toured. I accepted knowing I couldn’t smoke on the balcony– city regulations, I get it. But then going on and on about how I better not and also explaining why food delivery can’t be done at this property– why pay more and get less? I mean they have delivery restaurants on site but don’t allow delivery. Honestly the property management company could at least find a polite way of spinning this. I just hung up on the idiot on the phone.
If the true managers are reading this– SERIOUSLY TRY HIRING SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BRING IN GOOD TENANTS.
