Established in 2012.

In October 2011, the Thai Community Development Center was awarded over $ 67,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farmers Market Promotion Program to start a new farmer’s market project in East Hollywood/​Thai Town. In April 2012, Thai CDC hosted the Grand Opening of East Hollywood Certified Farmers’ Market, on the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Western Ave., above the Metro stop. We are committed to bring fresh fruits and vegetables to the community. Come out and taste the freshness of California-​grown produce.

This is one of the smallest farmers markets in the greater Los Angeles area, but it packs some punches. There is a good selection of vegetables and fruits during the season, but it can be scarce at times. No food booths. Must try the honey stand right outside of the metro station. Their honeys are to die for!

I love this little farmers market. The strawberries here are really fresh, but what I mainly come for is the HONEY from Bobcat Farms. Amazing honey and I’m preferential to their Black Sage. I go out of my way to come here just for that. Plus, the owners are a sweet mom-​and-​pop couple. :)

It’s a really tiny farmer’s market. There are only a handful of stalls, but all the fruit taste really good and fresh.

East Hollywood is a very diverse neighborhood in Central Los Angeles, bordering the neighborhoods of Los Feliz, Hollywood, SilverLake, KoreaTown, Larchmont, and the tip of WestLake.
It’s know for Los Angeles City College (formerly UCLA’s first campus), Hollywood Presbytarian Hospital, Children’s Hospital (CHOC), Kaiser Permanente, Church of Scientology, and 3 sub-​neighborhoods of ThaiTown, Little Armenia, and Melrose Hill. Being full of such diversity, East Hollywood has great authentic restaurants, markets, and more.

If your tired of quasi or even fake Farmers’ Markets then the East Hollywood Farmers’ Market has got what your looking for.
Its a no non-​sense produce only market concerned about serving the needs of local Farmers to get there produce to the market without a middle man and the needs of the consumer to get what you pay for, fresh locally derived and sometimes organic produce.
It also serves the special needs of low-​income residents who are often excluded from local and fresh produce.

I always get fresh, pesticide-​free fruits here. The raspberries and strawberries are my favorites. The organic honey is kind of pricey, but it’s so worth it.
This farmers’ market is extremely convenient for the Metro riders as it’s located right on top of the Hollywood/​Western Red Line Station. It runs from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Thursday. Also, the vendors accept California state Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card payments because this farmers’ market was created to provide affordable fresh food access in the low-​income neighborhood.
