New Year, new health goals right? This year, I want to have healthier cravings, if that even makes sense. This Earthbar is located near my work (yay!), although I got a bit lost because even though it is on the second floor, I did not realize it was within the Equinox lobby itself. I got the Acai Bowl — $ 9.00. The price might make some people flinch but the bowl is huge so I think the price is okay. Not the best price but not the worst either, considering what you end up receiving. The cashier/​bartender was really nice and asked if I wanted some aguave sugar on top. Yes please! But just a bit because I really am trying to cut out sugars too.
A lot of the people nearby were members of Equinox, so expect to see a lot of fit people in work out clothes. I felt a bit awkward in my layers because of the recent cold weather, but oh well.
The acai bowl was delicious and I actually made it last two days. Awesome healthy snack. It’s really not what one would eat for lunch or dinner, but great as a snack or something to fill you up when you’re feeling a bit hungry.

TL;DR — I love the food, but the service is hit or miss.
I’ve had great experiences here, and I’ve had experiences where I felt super awkward. The workers choose to chat amongst themselves instead of interacting with customers and they all seem like they’re all in training mode (ie, awkward and quiet and slow). But the smoothies are great and the acai bowls are great for what its made of.
The acai is NOT pure acai. They blend it with banana I think (taste is kind of like amazebowls but with less toppings) If you want the pure acai like ubatuba or even a stronger acai like juicecrafters, this is not your spot. BUT, for around 7 bucks, I’m not complaining at all.

TEXTURE AND TASTE
Soupy, slimy, foamy Acai.
I assumed all Acai bowls we’re alike. Never judge a bowl by its presentation but judge it by its quality. I thought I’d fall in love with this place because I’m on that hunt to find the best Acai Bowl but rather I’m contemplating if I should come back for a second bowl.
ACAI BOWL ($ 6.75) — Acai blended with hemp milk, banana, and agave and topped with banana and strawberries. The Acai has a SOUPY, SLIMY and FOAMY texture with a somewhat bland flavor. If they don’t blend in the banana and agave in with the Acai the texture and taste would probably be better. My Acai just tastes like banana. The blend in banana just killed the texture for me. It would be best to 1) place the Acai first 2) then add the granola 3) then drizzle the agave on top of the granola (so it doesn’t make the Acai watery) 4) add the fruit toppings.

So I’m developing an expensive habit with this place, mostly because I was relying on Starbucks before for cold drinks and though the extra little walk would be worth a healthier option. They have smoothies and to-​go foods that are «healthy» in nature (e.g., paleo, wheat-​free, etc.).
The smoothies generally come out pretty quickly, and the people are pretty nice.

I found Earthbar while searching for an acai bowl.
Not knowing that there is one across from my hotel, I walked to the store on 6^th St DTLA. I am very pleased with the service and the quality of the product. The acai bowl is exceptional and the price is reasonable for what you got. I like that I could choose the size I wanted. The small is enough but it was so good that I wished I had gotten the large bowl. The staff were very friendly and informative. I love the cleanliness of the place. I will certainly go back every day that I am still in the area. I’ve not had one that good since I was in Hawaii 3 years ago. Thanks Earthbar.

Nice choice of freshly made before your eyes juices and smoothies. Situated in the Equinox Downtown on Flower. There’s a Happy Hour for smoothies from 2−4p.
I enjoyed a juice of apple, orange, kale, pineapple (I think) and then I added ginger to it, too. Bold and refreshing and totally hit the spot.
This place has lots to offer on their own, and they have a very deep bench, too. (Or Fridge) I love how their retail items in the refrigerated areas feature some of my favorite other products: Prepared meals and snacks by Greenleaf; the hard to find Power Pancake
and, one of the two best cocoanut waters available (Look for raw, never cooked).
If you’re not careful, you can blow a lot of dough pretty easily, and quickly. The good thing, though, is that this stuff will taste great and make you feel like a million — so, longterm, you’d probably end up way ahead. On the third floor, via elevator, escalator or stairs. You know the healthiest option, right?

They legit forgot all about me, then rushed to make my smoothie and then I caught them using the wrong milk and they had to redo it. I had ordered almond milk, not hemp. I waited for 20 minutes. Not acceptable! Get it together, beanie dude!

I can’t afford to go to the gym at Equinox, but I can get acai bowls at the Earthbar inside Equinox and pretend that I just came out of a cycle class with the other beautiful people there. Just kidding, maybe. Anyways, my brother swears by the acai bowl here. He told me that he can’t really eat acai bowls from anywhere else because this is the best he’s ever had. I didn’t believe him and that’s how I found myself here with a bowl the size of my head. Just a note, parking is the worst here. You’re not going to find street parking so save yourself the 30 minutes and just pay for the parking lot.
For $ 9, I expected a lot and I received a lot. This is a meal in a bowl. I don’t usually recommend acai bowls as meal replacers because they’re never filling enough but this guy will definitely fill you up. It might even work as two meal replacements.
Comes with the usual bananas, strawberries, granola with a drizzle of agave. This is the creamiest and freshest tasting acai I’ve ever had the pleasure to eat. I think they were a little heavy handed on the granola but that’s just a personal preference. I would have liked it more if they were more heavy handed with the fruit instead of the granola. But it was fabulous and it kept me full the entire day. Delicious. ⁴⁄₅

Yeah, this place is fine. It’s located inside the Equinox and you don’t need a membership to access it.
What’s great about this place is that it’s open after all the other DTLA smoothie/​juice places are closed. I ordered the Great Breakfast and it was OK. It definitely satiated me but it didn’t leave me wanting to come back here just for it. The other menu items aren’t really exciting either. I’m pretty undecided if I will come here again. It’s just OK.

This review is just for their acai bowl. I was nearby and decided to stop and grab one and, unfortunately, was a bit disappointed :(if you’re looking for a good, traditional Brazilian acai bowl, then this is not the place. Don’t get me wrong, the bowl was good, but not as good as the real thing.

Nice staff. Expensive. The people at equinox should take a class in customer service though.

Pretty awesome and the employees are always really friendly and fairly knowledgable of the products they sell.
Decent selection of protein drinks especially the muscle milk stuff which is really tasty!

I love the food and the fresh made juices.
You can sit outside. It’s a very nice place. There is a lot of space to sit, inside and outside. It’s next to the fitness center. You have to take the escalators to get there.
My favorite juice is the apple, carrot and ginger mixed juice. I love the almond juice as well. I always buy the cold and sinus shots and drink them instead of coffee in the morning.
I had some chicken too. It was very tasty. The staff is always next nice.

Love coming to this EartBar location It’s on the second floor inside Equinox, the gym (don’t worry, it’s open to the public). It’s close to my job, and the staff is so informative and friendly. They taught me the difference between cold-​pressed juice and bladed juice, and they have great recommendations based on what’s ailing you.
I expressed that I felt a cold coming on, and they recommended a «Cold and Sinus» shot-​about 10 lbs of Cheyenne Pepper, Ginger, Horseradish, and other herbs compressed into about three ounces. It’s definitely not for the timid, but that thing cleared up and numbed my sinus in about ½ a second.
If you’re in a hurry, they have most of their juices available, cold-​pressed and pre-​bottled to go. They also have several snacks, hard boiled eggs, cheese, etc, protein bars, etc.
Bonus: They have a beautiful sitting area outside if you have time to sit and enjoy your juice.

Amazing how in this economy, a store charging $ 7.00 to 10.00 can get away with selling juice.
Im too lazy to look up the 6^th and olive address, and since no reviews, thought I’d just tack on to this location.
Their fresh juices DO taste amazing, and if they werent ridiculously (although justifiably) highly priced, I’d give it the 5*
I prefer non dairy, non milk, non anything white creamy smoothie. Just give me the crushed ice and fruits, no need for hemp milk, almond butter hemp seeds, hashish strands, shredded cannabis etc. all unnecessary IMO.
So, I choose the 6.95 earth berry, one if not the only without any kind of milk. (downright addicting.) Cant afford 7 bucks a pop a day, so indulge once a week, its quite delish. Swarming with people at 9.30 a.m. People paying more than a lunch for a juice; bad economy my ass-​crack.
If I want a milkshake I can go to johnny rockets or something.

Awesome healthy option to your meals. Had almond crusted chicken and bf had the pesto wrap, both delicious! Had a sample of the sundews chorizo wrap — also delicious and has a kick! Had a total green drink — was great!
All in all a great spot with very helpful customer service.

It was nice to find a health oriented food spot in the mall. Earthbar is paleo conscious which is a nice take on the trends in the fit nation.
You can spend money fast here so calm down. The raw vegan collars leaf wrap is awesome. Plenty of flavor to go around.
The staff is nice and cordial Snd the facility is spotless.

So now that I work too far away from Juice Crafters to make it a regular thing, it’s time to find a convenient juice place off the A-​DASH. I think Earthbar will fulfill that need handily. Can’t remember the name of my juice, but it was refreshing and my friend’s was also. Expensive, but that’s expected with juice. I’ll return.

I’m surprised my fellow Unilocalers haven’t jumped on being the first Earthbar review for this! I was disappointed after my dozen visits that I haven’t been able to check-​in. lol.
Earthbar can be found in the new Equinox gym held in DTLA. They offer fresh juices, organic & raw cold-​pressed juices, basic smoothies, power smoothies, and even healthy snacks and prepackaged lunches. I would recommend the green detox smoothie. You can’t go wrong with greens. Try one of their cold & sinus shots that includes a wellness shot, horseradish, echinacea, and other herbs during that cold and flu season. Prices seem a little higher than average and range anywhere from $ 5-​$ 10 for a single drink.
