I was here last sunday while waiting for LA Dot to go to Griffith Park. Had to wait about an hour to take that bus so I got iced coffee before my bus came. It was $ 2.95 for a small iced coffee and tasted good not bitter. Probably about the same price rate as Starbucks. Seem like popular coffee shop when I saw some people with coffee cups that said DRNK. Located near Vermont Sunset station where you can get coffee on the go(eg. work, sightseeing). You can get rewards after the purchase like loyalty card.

Kind of pricey for the quality of their coffee. Their coffee isn’t bad by any means but I definitely have had better. For the same price, I would much rather grab starbucks. The workers are nice, though.

I love this place because of the coffee and staff. I’ve yet to meet someone who is rude or unhappy. They are all very nice and accommodating. My favorite part is that they have white coffee. I can’t find white coffee anywhere else in LA!!! White coffee is sweeter and has more caffeine, so good. It may remind you of a Starbucks but these baristas don’t burn their coffee!

The food is good but the service in the morning is really slow. Expect to be there for 10 minutes. They are short staffed and still stocking at around 8am. Even when I tell them I’m in a hurry no one begins to prepare my order, instead they continue stocking. Don’t expect Starbucks level service. Food is better than Starbucks though and they prepare it fresh! Also the prices are good.

It gets crowded on mornings esp that it’s really close to the metro. Drinks are not for me, maybe because they’re going organic so it tastes different. The staff are very nice tho.

I am more of a Starbucks person. This place is near my work so sometimes a few of us will go there for a little break. There is nothing that really sets them above any other chain coffee place. They have the standard espresso hot and iced beverages. I felt that they did not have as big a selection of food items compared to Starbucks. The baristas were polite and patient. The inside seating area is not very big. They also have outdoor seating.

Copy-cat of starbucks. Their drinks are almost the same price and so is their sandwich. Not bad but wouldn’t really come here again when I can go down the street to starbucks. xD kudos to the free internet tho!

I go to this coffee place often to get a green matcha latte. Recently tried their spice carrot muffin and veggie ciabatta, very tasty! Love the people that work here such great service!:)

Oh boy, DRNK. Where do I even start. The only reason I typically go here is because it is located right outside of the Vermont/Sunset Metro station and I travel to and from Los Feliz frequently. So, it is either the first or last place to get coffee or food before a long metro ride to North Hollywood. I’ve been here at least four times and each time has been a hectic, disappointing failure. For starters, they are often understaffed at peak hours. I came in today(a Sunday around 11am) and it took 25 minutes to get a sandwich and an iced chai drink. Not to mention five minutes waiting in line. There were only two people working. One taking orders/making sandwiches one guy manning the coffee bar. The place was SLAMMED. The guy behind the coffee bar was literally trying to grow extra arms to keep up with the amount of orders pouring in. The guy at the counter taking orders continually had to stop and make several sandwiches before getting back to taking orders. I felt horrible for how overwhelmed they were, though they were extremely nice despite the patrons being incredibly rude and rushing them and shouting complaints. I have to give their employees serious credit because no matter how crazy it gets, they are always smiling and giving great customer service. I think that this place is too small to handle the volume of customers. There is NEVER an open seat. One guy actually used up a whole table to sit his bags and his laptop on, despite there being a terrible need for seating. I asked if I could use the table and he rudely told me «No! My stuff need somewhere to sit.» Um, ok? Did your shopping bag of sushi just spend $ 12 on a shitty sandwich because it is starving and would like to actually not have to stand while it eats? Gee, thanks. I swear, the worst levels of humanity lurk at this place. I was in the middle of ordering(literally mid-sentence) and some entitled hipster bitch in heart sunglasses and a sherpa coat literally shoves me over and says«Hi, so like I don’t have toooo toooo much time so if you could just start my order now that would be GREEEEEAAAAT. Or maybe you could like go get someone else to work the register because I’m in a hurry, k?» It took every fiber of my being not to punch this evil woman in the face. There were five people in line behind me. Five! Yet she had the nerve to walk past all of them and shove me over because precious, entitled Sneauflayke needed her lowfat vanilla latte STAT. This is pretty much an over assessment of 60% of the clientele here. Rude, entitled and awful people who sit at tables not drinking anything, or yell at the poor staff because it took five seconds too long to get their mocha. As for the food, the pretty sandwiches in the display case look really good. Like, so good I want to just reach in and eat them. What you actually get is an utter disappointment. The quality is what I would describe as «Bistro McDonalds». Sub par food with fancy names and sauces. Also, what is with not putting prices on any of the food in the display? I have no idea how much anything costs. I’m pretty sure that tiny, sad excuse for a sandwich was at least $ 8. The lattes taste really weird. It might be the flavoring they use but it is barely passable for a good coffee drink. I tried the«Chai Blanc» which was excellent. The only thing worth coming there for, really. Overall, this place is overpriced, miserable and time consuming. Will not be back.

Horrible experience! After a morning of running around doing errands, I was craving a plain bagel with cream cheese and lox. I literally went to five different places to no avail. I called DRNK *in advance* and asked, «Do you have bagels?» Yes. «Do you have salmon lox?» Yes. Perfect! I came all the way from North Hollywood to satisfy my craving only to discover that they in fact have salmon flavored cream cheese. That’s totally NOT the same thing as lox! I wanted to sit and chill with my coffee and bagel, but the restroom was«out of service», which I suppose means no one wanted to clean it or plunge the toilet. I would give zero stars if I could. I thought Its a Grind was bad, but somehow this place is even worse under new management. Save yourself the trip.

I stopped in Drnk one day in the earlier morning. There is parking in the back. I thought the coffee was really good. I also got a breakfast sandwich — which was also very good, and fresh. I was pleased with the quality of the food they serve. They just don’t serve orange juice, even in bottles, because there is a smoothy place next door. There is also a frequent buyer card that you can get punched.

I’m only writing a review for this place now because as I type, the owner is washing down not only the sidewalk outside of the coffeehouse, but also washing down the public sidewalk in front of their business. Yea — no drought here in CA. Other than that, decent place to get coffee(or tea or sparkling stuffs) and study or shoot the sh*t with your friends, AA buddies, or fellow screenwriters. The people who work here are chill AF and always work with a high level of professionalism. My reluctance to give this business a 5-star is due to the priciness of drinks and bagels. But… whatev’s.

To be perfectly honest, if I’ve never heard raving reviews about a coffee shop before, chances are I won’t bother to walk in if I pass by it on the street. However, I had had way too many sweets on this particular day, and didn’t want to drive out of my way to hit up Coffee Commissary, Blacktop Coffee, or another one of the local coffee shop superstars to speed up my metabolism. I have to admit, I was quite humbled by this superb café’s legit coffee selection. To begin with, you won’t find those alarming Prop 65 warning signs that you’ll see nestled in the corners of your local Starbucks. That’s because this coffee is pure organic, high-quality goodness. They offer an extensively well-rounded menu of delicious drinks and healthy food. Being a bit of a coffee-loving snob myself, I usually gauge a coffee shop by either the specialty drinks, or the cold brew. Seeing as I couldn’t stuff in any more sugar, I went with the cold brew– although their specialty coffees look sweet and soulful, as well. The cold brew is pretty freaking amazing. Unlike so many flops out there in the coffee world, this isn’t overly acidic or sour, but has the perfect balance of robust, nutty coffee flavor that pairs perfectly with a bit of almond milk/cream and agave nectar to give it a hint of sweet creaminess. The staff is super cool and go out of their way to make your visit comfortable and relaxed. The atmosphere is chill, the space is ample, and if you show up in between the rush hours of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you’re more than welcome to stay a while, pop open your laptop, and get some work done.

Yay! non-Starbucks coffee! After using the Wells Fargo ATM, I wandered over to DRNK coffee + tea. I needed a cup of something warm and caffeinated to start off my day. I arrived around 8:15am and the place had a handful of customers –busy with lap-tops inside and 3 customers sitting outside, front patio of the café. There was still ample seating and my only complaint is the restroom could use a little maintenance. Otherwise, this coffee shop has a lot of good aspects! +Good selection of organic, non-GMO teas(Green, Herbal, Black) +Some selection of organic coffees +Free Wi-Fi +Offer variety of milk options: almond, soy and the standard percentages of cow udder excrement. +Service was excellent! I was a bit indecisive and the guy at the register was informative, friendly and didn’t mind my 20+ questions(I ask a lot of questions when making a selection. I want to be informed to make a satisfying choice ;) I ended up getting 16oz of Green Matcha Latte with almond milk. I highly recommend it! DELICIOUS! Will cost you about $ 5 and some change. Started off my day perfectly!

This place replaced Its a Grind in a little strip mall. I had an iced coffee. It was good! Usually I’m disappointed with iced coffees at almost every coffee shop I’ve been too, even blue bottle! But it was pretty good at drnk. I was getting the shakes so I also got a Blueberry bagel. You can have it toasted and they also have several types of spreads to choose from. There’s a Moderate amount of seating. There’s minimal outdoor seating. Staff is really nice and helpful. Free wifi is always a plus. It can be a bit chilly in here so bring a sweater! There’s a bathroom!

This new café was resting on my lonely Unilocal bookmark list. Until it’s turn came, a few days ago; 2 be tickled off the dusty list. I parked in the back and walked around to the front entrance of the new found place. While opening the door… I observed about 10 people in there sitting quietly /enjoying coffee/studying/dating. There was only 1 chick b4 me placing her order. I ordered soy chai… my secret addiction & paired it with the Tuna on wheat. Both reasonable but not divine. Last minute meal on the go… had to settle. I think honestly, I prefer chai latte from 2 other cafes because they make the tastiest chai latte w/perfect blend of flavors. This place tasted like they boiled hot water and threw in a chai spice tea bag and added soymilk and ice. No Bueno! Therefore –1. The table right next to the bathroom also seemed like a really awkward place to sit. I imagine the constant opening and closing of the bathroom door would be pretty disgusting if your trying to enjoy your food/date/read ur fav book. The bathroom smells plus coffee… oh someone pass me a bucket… I should puke. Besides that a rather good experience. Willing to give this place a other shot. Maybe there set up needs to be revisited by management.(Just a tip).

After a morning of little sleep, and of a short stint of overtime at work I was DYING for some coffee. I hopped off the subway at Vermont+Sunset and expected to see It’s a Grind. Turns out it has been replaced with a new establishment: Drnk. I have no idea when that happened, but I decided to give Drnk a shot. The layout remains mostly the same as the old establishment. The menu, and the pricing, has changed and because of this I would rate Drnk a solid 3.5 stars. The pricing was the big thing here. As other Unilocalers have mentioned in their reviews Drnk features some drinks that are upwards of $ 6!(Non-alcoholic at that lol!). I had the white chocolate espresso blended which at 16oz was normally $ 4.95(but the barista mentioned the 20% off discount for following them on Twitter) so it took it down a dollar. She also mentioned that they have various Twitter deals of the day/week that give you an extra percentage off also(would be nice to see a Unilocal check in deal ;) !). The drink was good, not as good as Coffee Bean(flavor wise) in my opinion, but better than Starbucks(perfectly blended, not a sip of crunchy ice in the whole cup). Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Work sometimes brings me to this area, so although I can’t stop in and enjoy sitting down and relaxing there I would stop by occasionally for another Drnk!
