Great food and always good service. Mulitas are a must! Be sure to ask for roasted peppers. Eat there or take home. Either way is super yummy.

It sucks that I have to give this joint a low grade but the service is beyond SLOW. It literally IS just two ladies making tortillas. I get the home made tortillas factor — yes, by hand, but when you have only two people making them then there’s a problem. Me and some friends stopped by the other night and the line was probably 10 deep, so we waited. After 15 minutes we were still the last people in line. We said fuck it and bounced. We ended up getting some Huaraches down the street. The two ladies also seemed to carry on multiple conversations with some of their known clientele, which would be okay if they were fast, but multitasking is not their strong suit. Here’s hoping they get more people on the staff. If that happens then I will be more than happy to come back and update my review.

Lack of good reviews for this place is startling. HANDMADETORTILLAS!!! Found this place on my way to find another taco spot in HLP(El Pelon) Went to el Pelon and made room to try this place after, SOGLAD I DID. Tortillas a Mano Check Delicious pastor with pineapple on a trompo Check PACKEDWITHMEAT CHECK They do quesadillas on the small tortillas(which I guess are mulitas?) as well as large flour if you like. Read someone’s review complaining about how the women don’t ask you what you want… It’s a taco stand not a five star restaurant with a wait staff kissing your butt, you have a mouth use it and speak up Def not worthy of knocking this place stars it rules. Now that el Pelon, which was extremely similar has changed their pastor style, I prefer this place so much more. Other than my face place in east la(el sapo) this is my second favorite in all Los Angeles

Can’t even believe it they charge me $ 1.50 per taco… BS!!! For a taco stand with no overhead. If you gonna charge me $ 1.50 per taco it better be awesome and it wasn’t good at all. The taco was way too dry. Only thing that help the taco taste better was a lot of hot sauce.

These are probably the best tacos on York blvd. Everything is tasty, fresh made tortillas, and a lot of salsas! I always get a mulita since they pack it with cheese and meat and its so good! There is usually a long line so be prepared to wait. Only reason for the three star is the ladies that run it are a bit rude and don’t say much either. You could be standing there for 30 minutes and they won’t even look at you till it’s your turn. I don’t mind waiting but at least acknowledge my presence. Ps: I don’t know why this place only has 5 reviews since they’re the busiest!

Loving the nopales topping. I will come back because of that! However, the salsas are a bit too salty for my taste. The price is right for the tacos, and the fact that they serve the taco with one durable tortilla is a plus. I hate the spots that give you two so it won’t break. Make your tortillas thicker people! Anyway, I digress. I will be back for the Al Pastor tacos with nopalitos! Not bad dos mujeres.

This is our go to spot on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights – best al pastor we’ve had in a long time. Our normal order includes: pastor, tripa, chorizo and Asada and some cebollas(onions). The pastor is on a spit them moved over to the griddle to finish off, the rest of the meats are grilled, chopped up and placed on the griddle. As for the tripas they are boiled(off-site – therefore not raw – you would smell it and taste it otherwise if it was prepared as previously mentioned in an earlier review) before placing on the griddle to warm up and crisp up. My partner’s top choice is the tripa and asks for it extra crispy. Sure the wait time is hit and miss – depending on the number of people and the night. These ladies handle their business – so be ready to place your order when asked – don’t be on the phone asking your mama, hija, sancho what they want, they want to keep the line going. Hand made tortillas Tacos are $ 1 – tripa $ 1.25 They set up on Fri, Sat, and Sun at 6 pm(recommend getting there early) Buen provecho if you get a chance to try them out.

* For those familiar with York Blvd it’s a revolving spot for taco vendors be it Street tacos or Trucks & Trailers, with that said I looked up ever taco vendor listed in 90042 and did not find a review listing for these two ladies!, so here it is and hopes I did not duplicate, for those familiar with«Pelon» this was one of his many spots the furthest one down York! While the tacos are VERY good I’ll break it down on what I consider the good and BAD… Be prepared to WAIT and WAIT and WAIT… I have about six or so people in front of me yet it took about ONEHOUR until I could place my order, tortillas are hand made and the lady making them could not keep up with the demand since you need to cook the masa, I think they should pre-make the tortillas and all they would have to do is warm them up that would move the line much faster! Meats they offer, Carne Asada cooked on a grill over open flame, Al Pastor on a trompo, tripas, Pollo y Chorizo also cooked on a grill over open flame. I eat street food more than anyone I personally know but I must say I was turned off by one of the ladies who was chopping meat to finish off on the flat top, She was using the same cutting board and cleaver to chop the cooked meats like Asada, Pastor then chop RAWTRIPAS and then back to cooked chicken etc, She did this several times, I almost walked away but I’d been there so long already… Tacos — $ 1.00 2-Asada y 1-Pastor Tortillas are delicious, Asada is nicely flavored from the mesquite wood used on the grill, the pastor cooked on the trompo was delicious. 4.5-Stars Salsa — They have a nice salsa table with a variety of good salsa’s… While my tacos were DELICIOUS, food cross CONTAMINATION is due to LAZINESS, there is NO reason not to have separate cutting board and cleaver/knife for RAW vs COOKED meat! –2-Stars Tacos — 4.5-Stars Contamination —(Minus 2 Stars) Avg: 2.5-Stars Too bad for the laziness, they might just be the beat tacos in Highland Park right now!
