Description

Specialties

Dos Burritos restaurant serves quality Mexican cuisine with an authentic Mexican flavor. Mr. Salvador Mendez created the flavorful recipes which have been passed down from his family, generation to generation. Such recipes have kept his loyal patrons coming back time and time again for over 30 years. Dos Burritos uses only the freshest ingredients, many of which are made daily. Portions are satisfying like all good Mexican food should be! The most popular dish is, as stated in the name, the burrito which can be made of sirloin carne asada, carnitas, chicken or machaca (top it off with enchilada sauce). Tacos, tamales, chiles rellenos and tostadas are also on the menu. Breakfast is available as well.

Restaurant Description:

Dos Burritos is laid out like a diner but with a comfortable family kitchen feel.

History

Established in 1977.

Proudly serving as Hollywood’s lil’ Mexican kitchen since 1977! Dos Burritos is family owned, started by «Don Chava.» Originally from Mexico, Mr. Salvador Mendez owned and operated successful «taquerias,» fast food taco stands, in Mexico City. Upon his arrival to Los Angeles in 1972, he noticed a demand for good quality home-style Mexican cuisine. In 1977, he opened the doors to his kitchen and established Dos Burritos restaurant in Hollywood next door to the historic Pantages Theatre. Priding itself on not being a watered down franchise or the next trendy spot, Dos Burritos had a successful run for over 27 years at this location. However in 2004, Dos Burritos was forced to close its doors temporarily as Hollywood underwent a multi-million dollar facelift. Fortunately, on Sept 2005, Dos Burritos reopened their doors at the existing location. Dos Burritos remains a family owned and operated business and prides itself on serving fresh quality Mexican food at reasonable prices.
