Digital Photo and Design specializes in all kinds of different photography methods but specifically family portraits and weddings. Mr. Lim has been in this business for 30 years and has done everything from doing event photography, passports, street photography, baby portraits, and even pet portraits!

History

Established in 1987.

Mr Lim started his business after leaving his home country, Korea, in order to fulfill his needs of becoming a photographer and starting a family in America. Since then, he has not moved locations and steadily continues to grow his business.

Hello! My name is Kolbe but many people call me Mr Lim. I have a beautiful family with 2 boys and 1 girl and we reside in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Photography has been my occupation and passion for as long as I remember. and I have never looked back. I love getting new projects and experimental shoots because they help me broaden my horizons; especially street photography. Its very nice meeting your virtual self and I hope to see you around!

Me and my girlfriend came here to take our passport pictures. The owner was really nice and took time to make our pictures perfect. (Also used photoshop to fix the smallest details) Overall, our experience here was great!

I needed new photos to renew my Korean passport and went along to a local studio, Digital Photo & Design, located on 5th and Western.
He knew exactly what was required for Korean passport photos and showed great attention to detail to ensure the photo dimensions and measurements were perfectly in line with spec.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience! Mr. Lim was extremely friendly and kind. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Located right next to Hanbat Sulungtang, Mr. Lim has been here for more than 20 years, specializing in portrait, wedding and event photography. They even do baby portraits. There is a great studio layout inside so whatever your photo needs are, Mr. Lim will take care of your needs. He can also touch up your photos so you always look great. He has a wide variety of experience so even commercial needs are well met. My family is looking forward to having our portrait done here. Stop on by!

I visited last week to get Professional Prom Photos taken.
I was skeptical in trusting someone who specializes in family portraits, parties/​weddings, to capture my craziness… but I was proven wrong. There’s a lot of space inside the studio so the photographer gave my date and I the freedom to pose as we wanted. Along with that, he had a lot of cool props that can definitely entertain a big group. Being on a budget, they definitely had great competitive prices (lol I even bought food across the street with my change). The quality and speed in which you get your photos was also impressive. Great for people who want to get their photos on schedule.
Overall, I had a fun experience, and the photographers son was cute too :)

I’ve been coming here to get my digital photo prints and passport photos for years. This guy does it all. He does family portraits, weddings, parties, special events, and albums.
Prices are competitive, quick photos, and quality is great. Nice and friendly guy if I may add.
Speaks English and Korean.
