I hope there would have been an option to give this place zero stars! The most horrible experience ever! Went to have my travel passport pictures taken. People working there have zero knowledge in photography and in passport pictures requirements! Spend there almost 2 hours! You can’t charge $ 20 for 2 passport pictures if you can’t even execute it right! Had to re-​do pictures like 3 times. The position of the face was wrong, the background was grey-​beige instead of white. Had to explain every single step of how passport pictures have to be done. I am still shaking that I didn’t just insist on getting my money back right away. I payed almost $ 70 for passport pictures for me and my son! I have to go to the embassy in San Francisco and if those pictures won’t be accepted it would the Digital Imaging Center’s fault.

Such great service and so convenient with the online ordering. I needed about a dozen 8×12 prints in an hour and not only were they priced amazingly but they turned out great too! Will definitely be using them for any prints.

I had a great experience with this business. I have some very old «stereo» slides that belonged to my grandmother and wanted to have them transferred to a digital version so I could share them with my mother and the rest of my family. These are slides that have two versions of the same image on one card, so that when you look at them in slide viewer, they have an almost 3D quality. I learned that there are not many places that will convert this type of slide, and that it is a bit tricky to do. The folks at Digital Imaging Center on Pico not only did a great job of creating digital photos from my slides, they did it at a price that was much less than I anticipated. And, everyone I met/​spoke with either in person or on the phone was friendly and courteous. I am very please with the whole experience.

They expedited my photos quickly and with good quality. Few communication bumps in the road but overall not Bad for first visit. Maurice was very nice and made me feel welcomed. The images looked better than I thought they would! I’ll be back! And they do cool photo gifts. Thanks!

Terrible service with a very bad attitude. I needed a foreign passport picture and a foreign citizenship picture for my daughter. The price quoted and posted at the register indicates a different price then what she charged us at the end. As I was ready to pay I got a higher price quote. The price discrepancy is a minor issue compared to the bad, disrespectful attitude. I left very dissatisfied and disrespected. This place is s time machine going back to the 1980s. Never again. Avoid.

Don’t go here if you want customer satisfaction because they do not care about that. The just want your money, but could not care less if you are happy with their work.

Very happy with our passport photos.
We went in late on a Sunday afternoon, the gentleman was very accommodating and friendly.
We needed photos for multiple countries with different size and image requirements. The gentleman was familiar with the requirements but appreciated that is brought directions so he could be precise.
3 sets of passports photos that are well lit and very nice images — we paid under $ 50.
The only thing that would have made it better was being able to see the images before they were printed but I do understand why they don’t do that — retaking the photo and vanity would just add to the processing time and therefore the cost. He chose a good photo without my input so I’m fine with the fact that I didn’t see it first.
TIP: If you’re doing passport photos that have different requirements to the USA, bring the paperwork for the photo requirements with you.

I’ve been here a couple times now to get my photos printed. First time, a young gentleman helped me and I had a very pleasant experience. He was so helpful and was able to print the pictures very fast.
I came back because they were so nice and the quality of the photos were great! An older man helped me earlier and was very nice. Unfortunately, when I came back to pick up my prints, this woman behind the register was awful. She was so rude an because of that, I will never be back. She was upset that I wanted to see my prints before I paid. I found one picture where my father-​in-​law was completely cut off. I told her I didn’t want the photo as I have no use with a cut out father-​in-​law. She huffed and puffed, took my card and didn’t say thank you.
I would absolutely recommend this place for the quality and the two men that were very helpful. Unfortunately, I will have to find a new place because I don’t want to give my business to a miserable woman! I hope if you go, you have the pleasure of being helped by the two gentleman that I experienced. Good Luck!

I went here to have passport photos taken based on the radiant reviews on Unilocal but I didn’t see how it was that special. The photo was taken in a corner with no special lighting by a bored photographer. Three shots were taken but I wasn’t asked to choose. It was about 30 dollars for 6 photos — not that cheap? I regret not walking in a cvs or a Costco.

I went in yesterday for passport photos, and while the quality of the photos are fine, the reason for the 1 star rating is due to the service — or lack thereof. They took my picture and then told me it would be about 10 minutes, which was not a problem for me.
However, while I was walking around the small store during my wait, the woman who works there started talking to her younger male co-​worker about my ethnicity. I heard her say, «Do you think she’s Chinese or Korean?» This caught me off-​guard — for anyone out there who thinks it’s okay that she was even discussing that in my presence, it’s not. I am not a multiple choice test. It is one thing for people to be genuinely curious about other cultures and backgrounds, but her tone of voice was gossipy and snide.
She proceeded to go on about how normally Asians have dark hair, but sometimes they have lighter hair or even — shocker — BLONDE hair and how «they» all look terrible! My hair is currently ombré, and it made me so uncomfortable to have to overhear this conversation while they were ostensibly editing my photo. I debated saying something for a while, but had an event to get to so just took my photos and left in the interest of not wasting any more of my time.
I will never go back, and strongly advise anyone who cares about basic human decency to not use their services either. It is absurd that in this day and age, we still have to hear these kinds of racist, derogatory remarks.

I took some old VHS tapes in to be transferred to DVD’s and was assured that they would only transfer only what was visible and had audio.
I received ¹⁄₃ of my order either blank or without audible sound.
When I returned the DVD’s the owner Maurice was not in, and since then he has not returned my calls. All this over $ 50. Hard to believe larry f

I needed some passport photos for my wife and my son.
I had the photos emailed to me put them on a flash drive walked into the digital imaging center exactly and got exactly what I wanted.
The gentleman that was helping me was very professional. He even had to resize the photos.
Prices were very reasonable but best of all I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Thank you very much and I would definitely recommend your services.

Amazing photo printing place! I came on two different occasions with a time sensitive work project, they were extremely accommodating and guided me through the best options. Friendly and honest staff, two thumbs up :)

Friendly, fast, and reasonably priced. These are the things you want from a place to get passport photos. Glad I used Unilocal to find em by the Brazilian embassy.

What a gem this neighborhood photo place is! I have had 2 excellent experiences here. I appreciate the warmth and customer service that comes from a family-​owned business that has been around for 20 years. I had a very good passport photo done. Then, I enlarged photos as presents. They took extra time helping me choose the best size and cropping. The quality is far superior to Walgreen’s! I was so happy w/​the results, and I even brought my suitcase to make sure it would fit. Again, they took extra time to be sure I could take them in my suitcase by rolling them carefully.

I had to get some passport photos done for immigration and they request the photos come with specific dimensions. Called and spoke with Mario and he said it wouldn’t be a problem and should only take about 20 minutes. I turned up, Mario took my photo’s, printed them and I paid and left. I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. Great price! Great customer service! I will definitely go back and highly recommend this place! Thanks Mario!

They charge $ 18/​video to digitize old family films. I knew I’d be spending a chunk of change to do this for all my old films for my parents’ 35^th wedding anniversary, but helpfully, the owner’s wife said (and I quote), «We’ll work with you» — leading me to believe I’d get something of a deal. Which, really, is that so crazy when you’re about to spend around $ 700 on a service that entails pushing a couple of buttons on a machine? It’s also one of the key reasons to use local, family places — the owners have the freedom and prerogative to give customers deals, unlike large chains, OR the online services where you can ship your videos out to have them digitzed remotely (which I had also considered).
Well, the owner of the place (I think his name is Maurice), apparently does not negotiate, ever, regardless of the fact that his wife said they would, and not only that — he says «they get embarrassed» and offended when customers ask for deals. Really? Come on. Pretty absurd. Oh, also, several of the videos they digitized for me at the $ 18 cost were under 3 minutes long. They charge extra if your films are over 2 hours, but they don’t give you a break if YOUR stuff is super short.
Basically, my point is… it can pay off to make your customers feel like they’re getting a deal. The $ 20 (or whatever) I might’ve saved would’ve meant a lot more to me than him, AND I would’ve referred friends. Now it’s just the opposite. I feel like I wasn’t served well and I won’t go back.

They lost my photos. Plain and simple. And they could not care less. I took two «dinosaur» disposable cameras, both filled with photos from the day of my child’s birthday — a day I could never recreate. When I went to pick up the prints, I was given one package of photos and a completely unused camera, and was told that the second camera I dropped off had not had one photo taken on it. There is no way I did not hand them two full cameras.
I don’t know how anyone can think they process film on site because I was told they «needed to check with [their] print service» in order to try and find my camera. That was about a month ago. I’ve stopped waiting for the phone to ring.
Oh and they’re way overpriced. I had to pay over $ 20 to have the one camera developed and they quoted me over $ 35 for a simple 16″ x 20″ poster I had wanted to print from a CD.

I had to get an odd shaped photo for a foreign document and tried CVS originally. They were fine for an American document I had previously needed, but completely clueless when it came to anything unusual. The man I dealt with at Digital Imaging Center immediately knew the exact specifications for the document I needed and even said that what I was wearing wouldn’t work for the photo. He could have just taken it and I could have found out months later it was kicked back by that country’s government, but instead, I went home and changed and came back for the «correct» photo. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I will come back for any similar service in the future.
