Davis Elen Advertising is a full-​service agency with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and Portland. We also have a subsidiary Hispanic advertising group, Castells & Asociados, in Los Angeles.

History

Established in 1948.

Henry Mayers, the grandfather of current Chairman and CEO Mark Davis, founded what is now known as Davis Elen Advertising in 1948. Henry was a printer by trade and a sharp –tongued cartoonist at heart. He was also an advertising man. He was fast, and he was good, earning the agency a reputation for the effective work that it still holds today.

Over the years, we have been known as Davis, Johnson, Mogul & Colombatto, Davis Ball & Colombatto, and most recently as Davis Elen, but the agency has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. We are not part of a publicly traded conglomerate. We answer only to our clients, not an office in New York, and have done so for over seventy-​five years.

Today, Davis Elen stands as one of the largest privately– held, independent agencies in the country.

Mr. Davis is Chairman and CEO of Los Angeles-​based Davis Elen Advertising, Inc. He became CEO in 1995 after spending ten years in various executive roles. Mr. Davis has been the iconic advertising agency’s principal architect and driving force in terms of strategic planning and business development. He’s also brought together one of the strongest talent/​management teams in the industry to service such top-​tier brands as McDonald’s Toyota, OneWest Bank, Cisco and Jitterbug.
