Dave the Window Washer

I just had our windows on our two-​story home cleaned — all exterior windows and interior windows on the first floor — and I was so pleased I wanted to write a review. I’ve used Dave the Window Washer twice now and they’re very thorough and very professional. They removed the screens and cleaned in between, got rid of cobwebs on the second floor exterior, and left the inside windows and window sills sparkling. We have a ton of windows and I thought the price was really reasonable. I’d definitely recommend, and next time I’m going to have them power wash the exterior of our house as well. It only took a few hours for our 4k square ft. house. Really great all around experience. The two workers who came were super professional and nice, knew to wear booties in the house — I barely knew they were there.

I used them for three years until my wallet was stolen and they took no action.

When I’ve gotten my windows cleaned in the past, there were extra charges for security screens and rose bushes, and whole crew descended on the house. «Dave» (Prakash) gave me a very fair price without any add-​ons and this time it was one guy, another «Dave» (Christian) who showed up. He was here for three and a half hours and did a BEAUTIFUL job! He cleaned the sills and frames inside and out, used a drop cloth on the floors, and a razor blade to scrape yucky stuff off the glass. The only thing I wish he had done was clean the screens at the same time. Next time I’ll ask about that…

I wasn’t at all impressed by the window washers (where is Dave, by the way?) They look o.k., but the workers (2 of them) merely used their ‘breath’ to clean out the tracks by ‘blowing the dirt’ onto the floor (at which point I had to clean the floors). They walked through the house with their dirty shoes and I was expected ‘booties’ especially after reading the amazing website about how professional the service would be. They cleaned with windows, yes, but they weren’t really pleasant and the price was high, so I would not use their services again. By the way, Dave is MIA. The guys’ shirts say ‘Dave’ but that’s not their names… I don’t like writing negative reviews, but I have to be honest for other future customers. Average at best. If I paid my kids the same amount of money, something tells me they could have done the equivalent job and would have cleaned the tracks without getting the dirt on the floor.

Washing windows … one of those tasks that you think you know how to do, so it never occurs to you to hire a professional, but then you try it, and you never go back.
I’ve used DTWW for about 3 yrs. DTWW’s crew is kind, professional, and quick.
In addition to window washing, they steam-​clean carpets, rugs and furniture. (Again, do I really see myself lugging the steam-​cleaner from Home Depot ???)
I’m sure DTWW is not the cheapest, but they show up on time, do a great job with no hassles or hand-​holding, and end on time. That’s worth it to me.
