Stopped here on our from the Griffith Observatory heading towards the CA Science Center at USC. The lady was very sweet and friendly. It was a very hot day and we stopped in right after 2pm. I must’ve looked like I was dying because she offered me some ice water! We got an old fashioned glazed donut, donut holes, buttermilk donut, and iced coffee. The dough was amazing! We were surprised at how delicious the donuts were especially this late in the day. The iced coffee was refreshing and went along very well with these donuts. And another awesome factor to give this place 5 stars? It was cheap!!! We got all of that for about $ 3.50, not too shabby. She even threw in extra donut holes. We will probably add this to our pit stop list every time we visit the observatory from here on out!

Staff and customers are generally unfriendly here. If you want your donuts fresh, arrive early. They are edible but don’t even come close to Randys. But Randys is too far away Gave this one two stars based upon my recommendations

We only recommend this Daily Donuts on Vermont if all other food options nearby are closed, including the gas station across the street. We sampled the chocolate custard filled bar, and maple bar — both of which were very disappointing. The dough was stale and had a hint of dirtiness amidst the staleness. The custard was very mediocre, and we felt very little effort was put into the making of these donuts. The customer service was disappointing as well. Usually if a donut isn’t the best, the customer service makes up for what the donut lacked, but this was not true of this Daily Donuts. The person at the front counter did not crack one smile — just gave us our donuts and change and we were on our way. The clientele inside of the store was just as unfriendly as the counter person. We felt as if we stepped inside«their» Daily Donuts and were on someone’s turf we shouldn’t have been on. A very strange ambience indeed. If you’re craving a donut, there are donut shops nearby that we recommend finding rather than going to this donut shop. CASHONLY.

I’m not one to easily dismiss a donut(check my other reviews; I’m no stranger to a donut shop), but Daily Donuts is easily the worst donut shop I know – which is not a good thing for an area that has many other nearby alternatives. First, the donuts: The selection is typically pretty weak, and none of it ever seems particularly fresh or made with much care. Second, the establishment: In a word, slimy. The last time I went(which will be the last time I go), there was a funky, rancid odor. Service is hardly friendly or pleasant, and the folks that seem to sit in there all day project a weird vibe, as if you are intruding. If you are in the area and want a good donut(and coffee and service), go to Michelle’s, which is about half a mile west on Santa Monica(@ Edgemont).

Not a bad donut joint but I have had much better. The best time and only real time to truly get the best donuts is upon opening of the place, early morning is the freshest. They have some good ones early on. The buttermilk and cinnamon rolls are great. As the day moves on they don’t seem make any more(which is understandable) and ones sitting there can get pretty stale. For a place that stays open as late as they do I would throw in a second round. Fairly good donut joint and I still go on occasion because of its proximity to my apt.

I passed this donut/croissant/ice cream shop several times before but never felt inclined to come in until today. It was past noon… I was hungry, and naturally I thought it would be a good idea to have a donut for lunch. I came into this tiny area where there were donuts on the left side and tubs o’ ice cream on the right side. I was surprised at how packed it was considering the fact that it was the afternoon… but I considered it a good sign. I ordered the cake donut with chocolate icing and sprinkles, a maple log, a boston cream, and a plain croissant. It all added up to $ 3.20. Not bad! Since I didn’t eat any of the donuts till around 3 pm, I was expecting them to be slightly stale. Imagine my surprise when I bit into the cake donut, and it was still crisp on the outside and light and moist on the inside. I want to come back for the ice cream… and perhaps one day combine the two. Ahh… don’t you just love the idea of putting two scoops of ice cream, nuts, whipped cream, and hot fudge on a warm donut of choice? I would dubb it… the Daily Donut Sundae. I’m giving this a rating of 4 based on the cheapness and nummy nature of the cake donut. I haven’t had the others yet, but will update if they turn out to be lackluster.

My coworker is so awesome as to bring these donuts in for the office-mates every now and then. My waistline is not as grateful as my tastebuds are for this, but damn, these donuts are delicious! kat m. is correcto — the donuts are fluffy in the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. There is nothing like having super fresh donuts with coffee in the morning. My favorites are the plain cake and chocolate iced donuts.

Yum just walked out of Tosa Express which was so-so…and the draw of the donut shop pulled me in… doughy creations sitting there in a row just waiting for me to pick them… I know its naughty… and I wasn’t even hungry… Infact I haven’t been in a donut shop for years… but to Hell with it… In I went… I was helped right away… the owners were both friendly… I ordered a glazed crumb donut… which was scrumptious… a little crispy outside and soft and doughy in the middle… the crumb topping was excellent and the glaze was perfect… not too sweet and not to thick… I also ordered a raspberry filled… which I have yet to bite into…(it will be a snack later) and a ham and cheese croissant that I put in the fridge for tomorrows breakfast… all in all… good spot… great donut that I already ate… YUM!

I’ve been here once, and it will probably be the last. Strike 1: No Raspberry filled donuts at 9am on a sunday Strike 2: Med. Coffee is actually a Small coffee, but priced like a Large. Strike 3: Bear Claw was dry. This place sucks, good thing there is a donut shop for every 12 people in LA.

Used to hit this donut shop up on my drive to Work! They have really good ham and cheese croissants that they’ll heat up for you. The owners are really nice and started to even remember us since we’d be in there every other morning. Also, the donuts aren’t the greatest but they work for an early morning pick me up. I liked their crumb ;) I still go there if my sweet tooth is craving a donut. I’m only going for 4 stars because they have a B and that somewhat creeps me out.
