Not much compared to other university botanical gardens like at UCLA, CSU Fullerton, or Claremont. With a small native garden with too many struggling plants, it only took ten minutes to visit. Located three blocks north of the Valley Performing Arts Center, the garden closes on windy days(even on mild days with commonplace 10 mph wind). Although not part of the botanical garden, visit the middle of the Orange Grove next to the Performing Arts Center which has a man-made pond with turtles and ducks.

What an amazing gem at CSUN! It was so nice to stroll around — even in the green houses. There are some pretty fierce cats living there. I found the staffs stash of cat food… they are set for a while. Those cats are HUGE.

So beautiful. Love coming here before a midterm! Great place to take you loved one on a tiny date. There are bugs everywhere so maybe it would be a good idea to be fully clothes. and don’t go in hot weather. Go in cooler weather but not when it’s raining.

A perfect place to hang out and get lost for a while, the place helped me relax while I was on campus. CSUN overall is a beautiful campus, enjoy it!

The finest land on campus. Alive with beauty and culture. A land fitting for a duke of my regality.

Five stars, five points, one star per point as follows: 1. Location! The CSUN Botanic Garden is on the CSUN campus, between the USU and Chaparral Hall(park in one of the G lots, then walk east towards Etiwanda; make a right and keep walking – it’ll be on your right.) 2. The huge fat cat who is allowed to live in the greenhouses for absolutely no reason other than the fact that he is huge and fat. 3. Over 1,200 California native plant species in just 1.5 acres? Score. 4. A million picnic benches for picnicking and makin’ out. 5. One of the student volunteers once told me to «watch out for the badger.» He was serious. That’s awesome. Five stars!
