this place is scamming people who don’t know any better. I do.AND i write reviews. I had a 2 pm appointment. I didn’t sit in the x ray chair until 3 pm. I had five x rays which were surprising quick given that I was complaining of gum pain. After rushing me through my xrays I was seated in a chair and advised to turn on the tv if i desired. I did. Ten minutes later the«dentist» comes in with her mask on the kind you use when you drill. She didn’t even have the decency to pull the mask up to talk with me. She then ’ looks’ at my teeth… She mentions nothing of my gum issues, narrowing in on «would you like veneers? I give you a price.» ” you need a deep cleaning.” Ok well that’s what I came for. Normally this is when a tech comes back in and cleans your teeth. Nope. Because this place is a fraud. Instead the receptionist comes back in and tells me my insurance doesn’t cover my «deep cleaning» only a regular cleaning. and the deep cleaning is $ 320 WHAT? REALLY? DO I LOOKTHATSTUPID? so I proceed to ask what is the difference between a deep cleaning and a normal one, since for the other 35 years of going to the dentist, I’ve only had one type of cleaning. the kind they do with your exam. No I am told a normal cleaning is really just a polish and them brushing my teeth. Where is the scam you ask? When they accept your insurance, take the money the insurance is paying them for exams and cleanings and then also charge YOU for what they were already paid for by your insurer. Suffice to say I walked out and won’t trust anything they told me. I will go to a real and ethical dentist.

I needed my teeth cleaned as I hadn’t been to a dentist in a year, so I walked in to Crown Dental to see what their price was for a new patient cleaning. The lady at the front desk said their new patient special was $ 39 for an exam, X rays, and cleaning. She charged my debit card for $ 39 before the appointment even began. After the X rays and exam, the same lady came in to tell me my treatment plan and cost. She said that I had build-up on some teeth, and for the«special build-up removing treatment» it would cost another $ 50. I said I already paid for a regular cleaning and that was all I wanted. She told me the regular cleaning would not benefit me at all, because it was just a tooth polishing and wouldn’t remove any of the build-up. That’s complete BS! At any dentist, teeth cleaning obviously includes cleaning the build-up. That’s why you need your teeth cleaned twice a year, so you can get rid of the build-up. The dental assistant guy was really nice and did a good job polishing my teeth, but I could have just brushed my teeth for a lot less hassle. A complete waste of an hour and a half and $ 39. They didn’t even floss! I talked to the lady as I was leaving, and I told her it was very misleading to say that I patients are paying for a teeth cleaning when they only get a tooth polishing. She said, «every dentist has their own definition of what ‘teeth cleaning’ entails.» WOW. The dental assistant was really cool and the doctor was nice too, but that one lady was rude the entire time we interacted. I don’t know if she is the manager or the receptionist, but I don’t appreciate someone ripping me off, wasting my time, and then talking down to me as if I’m stupid and causing an unnecessary problem. I would never recommend anyone to go there, unless you like paying $ 90 for a simple teeth cleaning…
