The Rosca de reyes was really good :-) The bread is always fresh n they make an awesome caramel cake if you order it.

moved back to LA last summer and so happy to see this little panaderia still there! my dad lived up the street from there when i was growing up, and now, so do I. the hipsters are slowly taking over this neighborhood, just hope Cristina outlasts that trend too. i love waking up, walking less than 2 minutes to the shop with all their yummy varieties of pan dulce– then walking away with several little pieces of heaven for just a couple of dollars. take that Starbucks. only 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes they don’t always have the pinka conchas i like or the capirotada. no me gusta those inconsistencies but all their bread is good so you’re never really at a loss. plus, it’s a friendly local panaderia with no frills but lots o’ flour n azucar just like your abuelita used to give you with some hot milk before(or after!!) school! awww…
