This company is pure scum. I unfortunately just rented a space from them. They neglected to tell me that the building was under foreclosure. I wish I would have read the reviews before I rented because everything that is written on Unilocal is true. Stay far away from these thieves. Amie Childers, John Jett, and Manny Meza all willingly signed me to a new lease while knowing this was going on. I hope no one else makes the mistake of renting from these lying pieces of garbage.

Pains me to say this, but as an existing tenant, I can say that the people who run this building are interested in one thing and one thing only: MONEY. They do not see the long term value of community, honesty and working with their neighbors to build up a strong set of properties, but the more of them I interact with, the more negatively they treat us here. I will more than likely run form renewing once my lease is up. Ever notice that business people who are successful are the ones who have long term vision, and the ones who are single track focused on making money by whatever means possible are here-today, gone-tomorrow? I know it sounds like I’m venting here, which I kind of am, but in all honesty, we’ve given this group so many chances and its one thing after another of skating out of repairs they should pay for, to fix things that are effecting my business — its very prototypical slum lord stuff. Listen to the other reviewers and listen to your gut when viewing the properties with them. PS So its on record, their leasing girl is amazing. Sadly, there is not one other member of this property management company you can trust. Feel free to contact me directly for more info.

If you are a potential renter, stay far far away from this place. The aesthetic of their spaces may seam intriguing, but as a former tenant of the Westmoreland Loft, I have never seen such negligence by a management company/landlord. How this company stays in business might be mind-boggling, if I hadn’t experienced first hand how they sell you hard and then drop you once you move into one of their overpriced lofts. Over the course of a year of tenancy, we had numerous leaks that were never fixed and black mold that was never attended to. There’s also a tricky element to their lease, where they claim their residential tenants don’t have any renter’s rights because they’ve signed a commercial lease. It’s pretty spooky. It’s my understanding that there are plenty of lofts that are wonderfully run in the LA Arts district downtown for a modest price if you’re looking for that lifestyle. Definitely stay away from this firm.

My wife and I just passed on a loft at their Lacy Studio Lofts location because they are super shady. Ihad read reviews of this company and their properties(see Cosmo Lofts reviews) and they are pretty spot on. They use commercial rental tactics to pass you their expenses which although it is legal they do not explain anything to you even when directly addressed about it. They told us our unit would be 900 square feet which when they add in hallways and other common areas this is true… that is what your paying for, but the actual loft unit we would have moved into was only 780 square feet. Here are 2 links everyone should read before considering a lease with this company. We went there 3 times to look at the property over a month and the front gate has yet to be fixed. Also, they try to pull a bait and switch with units telling you one is available and when you go to look at it it isnt anymore but a more expensive one is, and if you dont fall for that and call a week later magicly a cheaper unit just opened up even though they said that nothing would be coming free in that price range just a week before.
