Came here to fix my glasses after a sport accident.
Connie who is at the front desk was very kind, patient and helpful when I called and asked her a few questions before coming down. When I came to the place I met Dr. Craig, who was friendly, patient with my questions and did everything so efficiently. Great place and great hospitality.

THE BEST eye doctor and place to buy your glasses on the Westside. Dr. Cucher is a friendly guy and his assistant Connie is probably the friendliest person you’ll ever meet! I’ve been going there now for several years and they are always very helpful. Five Stars!

Dr. Cucher is a very kind and helpful optometrist with a fun spirit about him. I went from someone who is in a large coop to Dr. Cucher’s nice comfy, cozy neighborhood place. Exam was really easy, efficient, thorough and professional.
Connie is front of the house and she is just wonderful. She’s got great taste and will work patiently with you on getting the right frames. I found myself making excuses to go and visit them as they are really people who know their stuff.
You can’t go wrong when you visit them.

Dr. Cucher runs a fantastic office. He has a great and funny personality, and makes the exams actually fun. He’s also damn good at his job, and is able to explain any and all questions in way that anyone can understand.
And on top of that, his assistant Connie is equally great, and is pretty much the best when it comes to personally helping you pick out the frames you want.
In short, I am extremely happy that I picked this office for my optometry needs, and I can’t imagine ever switching to anyone else.

I’m new to the area and after 6 years without a check up, needed to find a new eye doctor to update my prescription. A Unilocal search and an appointment later, I find myself laughing with Dr. Cucher as we go through my exam. He is so much fun. It ended up being a great exam as I was concerned my eyes had gotten worse over the past few years. It turns out I only needed a minor adjustment, which he found in short order, and made my vision perfect again.
After the exam, I had a great experience going through frames with Connie, who picked out several awesome options for me. She also gave me really thoughtful opinions on everything else I tried on. Ultimately we went with one of the first sets of frames she originally picked out. It was a great experience. I have already been back since my first visit to get fitted for contacts, and will go again in the near future to pick out some additional frames for different occasions.

I will never go anywhere else. Dr. Cucher and Connie and the best! Not only is the actual eye exam thoroughly done, Dr. Cucher’s humor will put any patient at ease while explaining exactly what he is finding. I have never been so happy with a doctors appointment — both the results as well as the positivity that Connie and Dr. Cucher exude. Once the exam was over Connie helped me with the impossible task of finding the perfect pair of glasses. Seriously wish I could leave a higher rating!

While I live in Long Beach – I work and attend school in Westwood and thus wanted to find a location on the Westside. Lucky for me, Craig J Cucher is just a few storefronts down from my work. I had initially gone by just to get my current glasses adjusted and they were so warm and helpful, I assured them when I was due for my check-​up I’d be back. Sure enough, I made appointment and was not disappointed. Dr. Cucher was incredibly warm, inviting, and informative and definitely put me at ease. While they didn’t have the exact frame I wanted in stock (it’s an odd shade) they said they could order it for me and with hope will be there in just a few days. If you live on the Westside, I highly recommend coming here for all your optic needs!

I just had the best eye exam of my life at Dr. Cucher’s office.
I dread eye exams, and have had a long, difficult time finding an optometrist I feel comfortable with and whom I can trust. One of my past optometrists seemed to add ever more odd equipment that was REALLY important to determining eye health, but oddly, never covered by insurance.
Fed up with him, I went to a couple Lens Crafters locations. Not bad, but it’s kind of a Supercuts experience. And the service is slow, and hey, there’s this machine they’ve got and it’s REALLY important…
So today I was ready for another round of that. And instead, I arrive, and I am instantly welcomed, and made to feel like an old friend. I chat while getting my new patient info in, I chat before the exam, and we breeze through the eye exam. Thorough, but relaxed and straightforward.
And then, toward the end of the exam, I find out everything I’m worried about is pretty much fine. Oh, sure, my vision is terrible, let’s not kid ourselves, but health-​wise? Not bad.
I left with a lightness that’s totally unfamiliar to me. I feel like I’ve found a place with people I can go to see without having to have my guard up. I don’t feel stressed out, nor do I feel like I’m about to be upsold on this REALLY important test that only this $ 25,000 machine can do.
Basically, I’ve found an optometrist I feel comfortable with. And that’s a HUGE deal for me. I can’t recommend Dr Cucher highly enough. He’s great.
And since he’s a parent of a child about the same age as my own, we soon found we had some shared opinions about kids’ TV. Which is great — further proof of authenticity and a genuinely good doctor.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Cucher for 16 years. He is absolutely wonderful! Connie is amazing! This guy really knows what he’s doing, and they have a wonderful selection of frames. Connie always helps me decide on the perfect frame, and has the patience of a saint as I try on every one in the office. It’s the one doctors office I actually look forward to going to because they are so nice, fun and accommodating!

Is it 8, or is 9, maybe 10 is sharper, lol. I’ve been a client of Dr. Cucher for over fifteen years now, and you can’t go wrong with this optometrist. He is very professional, honest, and he always makes you feel very comfortable during your eye exam and you will even feel better after you’re done. I don’t mind driving from the valley to the westside to see an honest optometrist. Besides optometry, he is also a very talented painter. You will not regret dealing with Craig and Connie for all your eyewear needs.

Dr. Cucher and his trusty sidekick Connie are as good as it gets. Not only will you get your eyes fixed, but you will leave laughing. Always a joy to go in. Very nice people, very professional.

I’ve been wearing glasses/​contacts since age 9 and now I’m 33. This office really made me feel like a valued customer with quick appropriate service. Dr. Cucher is great! I’ve been putting off trying contacts for most of my life: I was creeped out by touching my eyeball and put off by all the «maintenance» involved. Dr. Cucher sat with me and helped me feel comfortable putting in and taking out contacts. Dr. Cucher has a great sense of humor and makes everyone feel comfortable. I recommend him to all of my friends.

He was hilarious, kind, fast, and willing to help in anyway possible. My first time seeing him and I will definitely be going back. Thank you Dr. Cucher for making a dreadful experience of checking my eyeballs into an amusing and comfortable experience.

This guy is great, and he’s truly one of those down to earth people, he even answers his own office phone when his lovely secretary is out to lunch. It’s not only fun going to an appointment there, but he’s really intelligent and a great doctor. Hard to find a good doctor with a personality to boot! Got me fitted for a new pair of contacts that has made my life so much easier, I can’t believe I’ve went so long with crappy contacts in my eyes. So glad I’ve found a good eye doctor here who is reasonable and fair on his prices in such an unreasonable city. Spread the word to your fellow blind friends !
