The place was clean. They provided a good service. They did a good job on my manicure and pedicure. I also had a facial done by Melissa and it was great. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because the workers looked unhappy.

Horrible! Should be shut down. The nail techs here have no idea what they’re doing (like actually, they will freely admit they’ve never done nails before) and make you wait forever. I’m not talking ¹⁵⁄₂₀. I’m talking an hour +. Have left here with cuts all over my hands, and still was made to pay. Ridiculous.

A friend and I happened upon this place, as all of the other local salons were booked and not as welcoming. A lovely, simple décor and friendly environment. We were waited on instantly, soaking our feet and getting massages, while they finished two other clients.
My friend got a gel mani and spa pedi, and I simply ordered a pedi. The prices were rather on the high end for me, but we received quality service worth the value. The techs were so gentle, and detailed in their service. Im sensitive and ticklish, but they were so soft and caring, assuring my comfort.
It was a relaxing, and honestly fun experience. The techs were super sweet and funny. My friend says it was the best, most detailed and effective callous removal treatment she’s ever had.
Great color choices, and a huge menu of services. They even offered us free facials and manicures for our next visit. I appreciated the customer service and courtesies. It pays to be nice!

I don’t know why this place doesn’t have better reviews. Maybe I’ve just lucked out each time, but I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at Concept Nails. The pedicures I’ve gotten have been very thorough and the polish stays on a long time. I also like that they don’t try and upsell you with scrubs and callous removal like some places. Concept has a wide-​variety of polishes and they’ve always done enough coats so they don’t chip. They are pretty good about spraying your feet with a coating if you need to put your shoes on and get going right away. My feet alway turn out cute and soft when I go here and it’s no hassle to get seen right away. I just wouldn’t recommend them if you’re in a real hurry because they take their time, which is good!
They also have massage chairs with the built in foot baths. The facility is really clean and quiet too. They have lots of chairs for pedicures and private areas for waxing, facials and eyelash dying. They did an awesome job on my eyebrows too. There’s a couple of private rooms for waxing towards the back: also, equally clean. The manicurists are never that chatty, but maybe it’s a language barrier. I’m fine with that. I’m more into reading and sitting quietly anyway. Overall, a pretty decent neighborhood nail salon with competitive pricing. They also offer facials and other services, but I’ve only gotten nails and brows done. The parking lot is a bit of a mess as the spaces are really narrow and get taken up by Subway patrons, the stoners going to see Dr. Weed and the inked up tough guys at the tattoo shop next door.

I don’t know how the hell I paid $ 22 for 2 nail acrylic fix and a color change (literally no fill and she filed my nails horribly wrong) but I did because I was super desperate. Never again though. Every other salon would have charged no more than $ 10 smh.

This is the worst service I’ve ever gotten they wanted to charge me 33 for a mani that consisted of at least 6 cuts and they didn’t even do my acrylics right smh never going back !!! WORST SERVICE EVER

This is the worst place ever, a nightmare of a place they promise you that they do a great job and almost left me blind. I went there to get eyelash extensions and the person that they worked on me had no idea what the fuck she was doing my eyes were completely shut with glue. They had to call an expert in eyelashes to remove the glue from my eyes when I threatened to sue them. I can’t believe they would promise a great job and instead allowed some stupid idiot that had no fucking clue what she was doing to work on people. This place should really be shut down.

Wow, I’m literally speechless! I must say that I’m usually a very easy person to please and I hate to complain but both my experiences were hideous! I’m also not a big Unilocaler but in this case I just want everyone to know that it’s a huge waste of time to go to this place. My first experience was getting a nail refill… big fail! Today I gave them a second try for a Brazilian wax! I left half way through it because the lady had absolutely no clue what she was doing, zero! And on top of that I had to pay her $ 20. I didn’t wanna argue but just leave.

It’s up the street from my house so I go when I need a last min gel mani and pedi. Yesterday I called and made an appointment for 5 pm. My boyfriend and I get there and waited for an hour. The pedicure was great. If you have to go ask for Helen she’s the only one who actually can do nails. I wanted her to do my mani but she had another appointment. So I got stuck with the owner which I knew was a mistake from the beginning. Omg it was AWFUL. She painted all over my finger. It was uneven and I kept telling her but she just kept trying to put more polish. Well with gel it doesn’t work that way… She asked me to pay and I said I was waiting till she finished my hands. Well she did and they were AWFUL. I told her to just take it off. It sucked. Looked like a kid did it. She said oh your nails are too short I can’t see. Number one I get my nails done every every two weeks and never have a problem. Number two if you can’t see why the hell are you doing nails. She then decides to ask the girl waiting in the store if she thinks my nails look bad. Of course the girl said they were bad. But the lady just told me calm down its ok. Um no lady I’m not paying $ 30 for gel mani if you can’t do it. I was so over it. I had been there two hrs and just wanted to get out. I paid against my boyfriends wishes and said I would never go back. She tells me to come and hands be a business card where age wrote free mani on the back. She was the worst manicurist ever. My cuticles are all picked over and my hands look like a 5 year old did them.

I was in LA and saw this little place open after 6pm! Every other place closes at 5 pm. I got a great pedicure even it was close to closing time. If I lived closer and I’d def. come back. Parking might be difficult during the day but that was not a problem for me.

Sorry Concepts… you suck.
The girl who did my nails wasn’t a seasoned nail technician and took forever to do a simple manicure. IT TOOK ONE HOUR. I was pissed.
She literally took 15 minutes to FILE… who takes that long to file?! THEN, she took forever to take the cuticles off, and when she was doing it, nothing was being snipped off. She didn’t do a good job… it was all jagged and messy in the end. I had to stop her at one point and say, «Um, you don’t have to try and get every single cuticle. It’s OK.» Awkward.
After my fingers were soaking for WAY too long in the bowl, she then took some lotion and literally just poured it on my hands and didn’t give me a massage… she just smeared it all over my hands and then brought a hot towel to wipe it off. Uh, okay…
THEN, when she FINALLY got to painting my nails, she again, took forever. It was to the point where I had to say, «Just one coat is fine.» Even though it was uneven and she pointed out it was uneven, I told her I didn’t care and that I had to get going.
I messed up two nails trying to get the money out of my wallet b/​c I wanted to get out of there so fast. Oh yeah, and I noticed they simply spray their tools w/​disinfectant, rather than soaking them in it. Gross!
WHY OH WHY didn’t I just go to Pastels around the corner, or good old Kailyns?! I read the semi-​OK reviews of Kailyns and I have to say — a lot of the negative reviews stemmed from bad customer service, and trying to «rush» customers out quickly. As someone who enjoys manis and pedis, I’m not trying to stay in there all day and I appreciate the super fast service at Kailyns and love the fact that I am in and out in a jiffy. Plus their manis and pedis last forever and are always so glossy and shiny.
Well. That’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back. Oh yeah, the girl who did my nails was Mongolian. Don’t go to her. No bueno.

I live a block from this place and i never thought that everyday im passing by such a good place! Now im doing my manicure there all the tine cuz i love it! Pretty cheap and very nice!

DONT GO TO CONCEPT NAILS ON VINE, ITS IN THE COMPLEX WITH SUBWAY THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE, SLOW AND CRAPPY. I WENT IN FOR A FULL SET, PEDI AN EYEBROW I WAS SOO ANNOYED THAT I ONLY DID MY NAILS WHICH CAME OUT SO SO. THE LADY LEFT PAINT UNDER, CUT ME AND MADE ME WAIT FOR CUSTOMERS THAT CAME IN AFTER ME. I DIDNT GIVE HER TIP OR ANYTHING. SHE IN ITIALLY WANTED TO CHARGE AN EXTRA 5 FOR TAKN THE OLD NAILS OFF BUT I TOOK THEM OFF WITH MY TEETH WHILE I WAS WAITING CAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS BULLSHYT, SHE DIDNT WANNA GIVE ME A NEW SET JUST A FILL CAUSE IT WAS LESS WORK… TERRIBLE F+++++

this place failed my very simple test with regard to nail salons: draw blood more than once and you’re off the list of places i’d ever consider returning to.
two weeks ago i got a full set of acrylics for a wedding i was in, and yesterday i had to get a fill so i went to concepts – they’d been decent before, not fancy, no spa pedicures or anything, but convenient and usually not too busy.
now i have very thin nail beds so i’m super sensitive to the dreaded dremel sander they use on nails before they fill them, but i only pulled my hand out of the manicurist’s grip once because it was uncomfortable for me – until she started sanding down the edges near my cuticles. then it was a little «ouch!» as she nicked my pinky with the sander, quickly applied some of that green stuff they use on cuts, and continued on. a minute later it was a serious «yeowwww!» when she cut my middle finger. this one was a bleeder. she finished sanding as quickly as she could and then put a coat of the shiny finish clear coat they use on acrylics and gels, but missed whole sections on 3 or 4 of my nails, making them look misshapen and well, not so attractive (especially when you add the bleeding, bruised cuticles on two of them).
in all fairness, she did apologize many times, and it was the end of the day – but i’m not going back there.
