Colby Lefebvre

i only worked with Colby for a few months, but during that time– boy did he do exactly what I had asked for! Just like most girls, I wanted our focus to be on my butt (lifted, rounder, firmer) and getting «toned» overall. The workouts always pushed me beyond where I wanted to go (in a good way and to a very sore place the couple days after) and by the end I saw results. I actually increased an entire inch around my hips, in any other setting this would be bad except that it was because my butt HAD lifted, gotten rounder and firmer. Success! oh and losing 2% body fat was a great added bonus.

I have had three different personal trainers in my life and the other two do not really compare to Colby — especially in the charisma and caring departments. Let me tell you that I have not yet felt that my personal trainers have ever cared about me as a person in the same way Colby does. He goes out of his way to help you. TRUST ME on this! I am not a gym rat by any means and the world of gyms has been alien to me until now. If you are like me and require a caring personal trainer to motivate you then look no more! I know this is a little mushy but hell that’s the way I am. I really give importance to whether or not I feel any person I meet or work with closely is willing to give me a really good vibe. He is not just for gym rats he is also for people like me that do not necessarily want to go all the way when it comes to fitness. I just want to lose weight and he is fine with that. In no way, shape or form does he seem to belittle me for not wanting to be some kind of Olympic athlete with a six pack abdomen.
First off we sat down and discussed a plan of attack. I really liked this about his approach. The other trainers did not really do anything like this. I learned a great deal about myself and the bad habits that are working against a leaner me. I learned about what is keeping me from losing weight and how to stay fit once I have reached my goal. Colby knows a great deal about which foods are bad for you and which are good for you. To me it seems that he does not adhere to diet fads. I get the feeling he really knows what he is doing in this respect. One thing I learned from him is that sauces have a lot of bad things in them. It blew my mind when I saw how much of these bad things were in some of my favorite Mexican sauces.
On the gym floor I feel his knowledge of what I need to do to reach my personal goal is great. He sets goals for me that are realistic. He takes into consideration many variables that he is aware of from the time we sat down to set the plan of attack. I have not yet felt that the workouts have been too much for me to handle and this has helped me complete the workout sessions. Thanks to this I have not once felt like quitting and taking the easy way out. Colby is funny and charismatic so you also have fun doing the workout. Some trainers make your workout seem like a routine and think that just by changing the routine up a little they will keep you from getting bored. This is just not the case with Colby. Plus he is down to earth and doesn’t make you feel lame for not having a body like his. I truly feel comfortable working with him and this helps me feel a great deal more motivated.
The gym he works out of has everything you could possibly need to do a great workout and the people are cool. I haven’t caught one person looking at me and wondering what such a softie is doing here as at other gyms with their lame cliques.
Parking is available in their lot and on the street. I usually park in the adjacent street and have not had trouble finding a spot as of yet.

I’ve been training with Colby for a few months now and seeing very good results. After an initial assessment and goal setting, Colby has trained me on diet and weight training techniques to slim down and replace fat with muscle.
During each workout, Colby is very attentive, making sure my technique and posture are maintained to focus on the right muscles and he adjusts the routine, weight, and reps to maximize results.
Colby is very personable and keeps me motivated. I also appreciate Colby’s graciousness to accommodate the occasional schedule changes I’ve needed to make.
I would highly recommend Colby as a personal trainer.

Colby is a fantastic trainer and I would thoroughly recommend him. I always hated the gym and was daunted by all those machines until I started training with Colby. I’ve seen some great results since training with him, he is not only knowledgable about fitness but diet also. He makes the sessions fun and they seem to whizz past but you leave feeling like you’ve had a great workout.
He is also great at getting you energised and lifting your mood on those days when the last thing you want to do is workout. He’s such a lovely guy, a good listener and easy going and I instantly felt comfortable with him,
Sadly I will be moving back to the UK soon but I will continue to use the workout program that Colby has taught me, I just wish I could take him back with me to keep me motivated. I’m going to miss him kicking my ass!

Working with Colby was the best experience I’ve had with a trainer. After spending 6 months with two different trainers at Spectrum, and only losing 10 lbs., I decided to spend just a little more on the real deal. And that’s exactly what I got! Colby gave me the tools I needed to fix my diet and lifestyle outside of our sessions. In 3 months with him, I lost 20 lbs (while admittedly still cheating on my diet a bit). In our sessions, we worked on tone, not cardio. As the weight came off, he built a muscular structure that looked fantastic and kept me motivated. Added bonus: He’s got a great personality, making workouts fun and upbeat. You can tell he truly cares about his clients.

I have worked with Colby for over a year now and is incredibly lucky to have found him! Not only has he helped me loose over 20 pounds, he was also able to help me get rid of my stubborn belly fat and «grow» a perkier butt (for a Asian =D)
Part of what makes him a effective trainer is his communication and motivation skills. He takes the time to get to know you, listens to your goals and tailors the workouts to your abilities. He’s also great at reading your mood for the day and knowing what to say to cheer you up. Don’t be fooled by his warm heart and the easy-​going conversations though, you always leave a workout feeling like your brain got bent and body got broken.
If your goal is to loose weight, –he’s upfront about the dietary changes you need to make outside of the gym and will hold you accountable for it. It was tough love at first but Colby kept me motivated throughout the initial process and now I feel great. My flab is gone, I am stronger, and I am not afraid of wearing only a sports bra outside.
