I was in the area so decided to drop by here on a Monday’s morning.
I was there a lil bit earlier than 7:30 but they welcome me in with open arms. I ended up getting the latte tomo and a sweet potato cheese pretzel. I also, requested if I could have a bear as my design. The person helping me was super sweet and she really took her time making my drink perfect. The design was super adorable.
I really enjoy my drink, however, the star of this place is the pretzel. This pretzel was so good. I was really surprise with the combo of sweet potato and cheese but it worked so well together. I suggest that you eat it there and then. This baby need to be hot and right out of the oven.
Overall, the place was really nice. People were great. I would come again and again.

What a mess. I would have given this place 4 stars… but service is awful when the café is busy! First time I came here, it was great. I ordered a hot Tomo Latte with an extra shot of espresso. It was strong and got me wired. I got a lot of work done here!
Came back here another time with my roommate and it was terrible! I felt bad for recommending this place to her. She was so excited to order a hot latte because it would have been her first time getting latte art. The café was so packed that day. The line was near the door and you can just tell how rushed the owner felt. When my roommate got her order, her «art» was a huge freaking blob … like a failed heart or something. She looked so sad… As for my order, it was like he didn’t even try. He literally just poured the milk in.
I ordered the red bean latte and she ordered the green tea one. We were both disappointed in the flavors that day. It just tasted like a milky mess rather than red bean and green tea.
Also there was this annoying fly flying around us???
Food is good though. If there’s anything you should try, it’s definitely the honey butter toast. I honestly would love to come here again, but after this time, I’m not so sure anymore. Still recommend you try this place out though!

I am by no means a coffee expert. But this much I can say. The people working in Coffee Tomo are super nice and will accommodate whatever kind of weird request you have with your beverage.
Because I am a caveman, i ordered a Chai thinking it would come in Latte form. So i was confused when it came with a tea bag that was steeping in hot water. I then went back to the counter and explain my expectations and they proceeded to remedy it by giving me milk and just trying to make the situation better.
I kinda hated my drink but i really appreciated the effort that the staff made to try and make it better.
Most people love this place and I will be back maybe to order their brick toast. Oh and thats another thing. The people working was quick and decisive and was not afraid to make recommendations to me. I really appreciate that. Thats how i ended up ordering the brick toast, cause i asked them how was it and they said «GREAT!» (LOL) so i ordered it.
I didnt regret ordering it.

I love Coffee Tomo! It’s a treat when I come here, not an everyday coffee spot. A nice atmosphere to meet a friend for conversation and a latte. It’s a little on the pricey side for coffee, but it seems the price of coffees are going up everywhere.
The tomo latte is amazing. It’s not overly sweet, just enough sweetened, condensed milk that I don’t have to add any sugar. I’ve also had a regular latte and it was good too… very strong, flavorful espresso. Their pour over coffees are good too, great beans. Be prepared to wait during the morning rush, as the drinks are hand crafted and no one is rushed.
I’ve only had a heart in my foam art, but I’ll keep coming back and maybe one day, there will be a teddy bear like some of the other pictures :)

Coffee Tomo is better than any huge corporation or small coffee shop.
The coffee tastes amazing and the barista’s are always helpful, quick and efficient.
I make a point to come here 4 – 5 times a week.

Basically the sweet potato cheese pretzel is absolutely heavenly and was perfect with soy latte that was almost too pretty to drink!!!
A bit pricey for my budget but definitely worth it. The place has great ambience and would love to come back to try all the other things!

If you like lattes, latte art, and yummy sweet pastries, then this is the place for you. Came in around 10am on a Saturday. A good number of people hanging out inside and at the tables outside, but still a minimal line.
I got the Tomo Latte (4.50) and Honey Butter Toast ($ 5) and my friend got a Green Tea Latte. Would recommend any and all of the above. The toast, akin to a brick toast, had great texture (and volume!) and wasn’t overly sweet. The whipped cream on that was really good too — didn’t taste like it was out of a whipped cream dispenser from the grocery store.
Overall a great place to wake up to.

We had dinner in the area and we were looking for a place to get coffee. We discovered Coffee Tomo on Unilocal.
Coffee Tomo is located in the busy area of Olympic/​Sawtelle right next to Blockhead Shavery.
They serve some great drinks with unique flavors as Red Bean Latte. Each lattle is prepared with a special design on top. They give each drink a personal touch.
If you are hungry, try their honey butter toast. It is delicious!

Coffee Tomo is built for volume. It delivers a standard cup, without much in the realm of fancy. Be that as it may, if its primetime evening hours, good luck finding a seat.
This area of Sawtelle is always jammin… And because of that, this spot is in a comfy level of being able to remove frills and specialties in order to keep the milling mass of bodies moving in and out.
They dooooo have one standout: green tea latte, if memory serves, was pretty amazing.
The tables here remind me of old school dinner tables, so if you and some friends were do inclined, and didn’t get swept out in the tidal flow of bodies, you could probably bust out some monopoly or cards against humanity… And you’d probably get a few dozen volunteers to join the game.
So… In conclusion:
If a cup of Joe or decent tea is what you crave, this spot is here. Consider it like a walking drive through, and you’ll not he disappointed!

I found Coffee Tomo on Unilocal when I was in the area. Food selection is limited and mostly consists of the made-​to-​order pretzels, or the butter bread. I ordered a cappuccino and the sweet potato pretzel and was told the pretzel would take about 7 minutes to make, so just a heads up. Both the cappuccino and pretzel were yummy, although the pretzel is cheesey and heavy so I would suggest sharing! The café has a couple small round tables outside. Inside has long farm tables, meant to be shared. They keep one table open for those not studying/​using a laptop. That table was empty and the rest of the people in the café were studying/​using their laptop! There is metered parking available on the street (takes credit card). Would come back if I’m in the area again.

Iced mocha heaven.
Smooth, creamy, and perfectly caffeinated with delicious, beautifully poured espresso.
Friendly baristas and quick service round out the experience to make this an A+ stop for a pick-​me-​up treat.

I ordered an iced Earl Grey Crème. I thought there would be milk added but no, the crème part just refera to the creamy flavor of the natural tea leaves. The very first sip of the tea was excellent. I can see why it’s called crème. It became watery and bitter quickly because I left the tea bag in. Perhaps remove yours. $ 4 for tea is pricely when its just an Art of Tea teabag.
By the way, I noticed the barrista create beautiful coffee art while I was there. I would love to come back for a sit-​in cup of coffee just for the art.

I love the understated beauty of this coffee shop. Small, quaint, and tucked humbly on a side street of Sawtelle, you might miss this spot due to its neighbors, the popular Seoul Sausage Co. and Blockheads Shavery which often has a long line outside its doors. I’m almost scared to praise this too much or else there won’t be a seat for me.
The first time we had the Caramel Latte, my go to, and Cappuccino. Both were reasonably priced. The second time I tried the Tomo Latte, and the third time I had an Iced Caramel Latte and later a hot Green Tea Latte. What can I say, I’m a latte lover.
Caramel Latte $ 4.25 — very sweet, but not too sweet for me (subjective, of course).
Tomo Latte — latte with condensed milk, sweet but not as sweet as the caramel latte; the condensed milk flavor wasn’t as strong as I’d thought it’d be.
Iced Caramel Latte $ 5 — good but not as strong of a caramel flavor as when it’s hot, which means it also didn’t seem as sweet as the hot version.
Green Tea Latte $ 4 — very sweet, sweeter than the Tomo Latte.
Cappuccino $ 3.75 — pretty good but personally I prefer lattes.
Cold Brew Iced Coffee $ 4.50 — haven’t tried it yet but definitely want to!
Aside from great tasting coffee, the latte art is ridiculously adorable and very detailed. They also serve a variety of pretzels but I’ve yet to try any. The interior is quite small and some people do come here with laptops to work or study, so getting a seat might be difficult. Luckily I come during the afternoons (whether weekday or weekend) when it’s not too crowded so I’ve never had a problem finding a spot.

Helloooo to the best pretzels I have ever had! We’re talkin humongous $ 5 pretzels that are fresh out of the oven, oozing with cheese and hidden with sweet potato! Right? They taste absolutely delicious. From my analysis, I believe sweet potato is mashed right into the dough. They give such great depth of flavor! I asked for some sea salt to sprinkle over these cause with my Tomo Coffee, which by the way was really good, the pretzel was a bit too sweet. A sprinkling of coarse sea salt flakes was perfect! Also thank god they are more skilled at latte art and can etch a cute little baby bear in your coffee (I asked for it.)
The ambience is really laid back and cozy. The place is pretty small and gets crowded. But if you’re lucky to find a table either inside or outside, this combo is perfect!

Cute place! I came here at 10am on a Friday, so I didn’t have trouble finding parking. But beware, it may be hard for you to find parking depending on when you go!
They have a couple tables for two people, a couple tables for four people, and a table that seats eight. For 10am Friday, it was pretty crowded! I ended up sitting at the eight seat table because I came to study, and this had an outlet with a power strip, so it was perfect for all the people with computers.
I ordered a green tea latte and it was delicious. And it was also really pretty! I posted a picture of it :) definitely made my morning!
This place is cute and has wifi, so it’s worth going to! Also, their pretzels smelled amazing, I will need to try one next time.

My absolute favorite spot for brick toast! The brick toast is soft and chewy unlike most other spots that are rock hard. They drizzle caramel atop 9 squares of toast and finish it with some whipped cream. Very delicious! Whenever I come here I always order the brick toast. Another item I always seem to order is the green tea latte. It’s nothing special, but when I need a beverage to go along with my toast, green tea latte is my go-​to.
I’ve also tried the spanish latte, pretzels, along with some other drinks I can’t recall off the top of my head. I recommend trying out anything on the menu. This is not a coffee chain store so the coffee and snacks are of quality. The service is topnotch and the baristas are very personable. Give this place a try, you will not regret it!

Not a big coffee fan, but I can really appreciate latte art! So when Danny N. suggested Coffee Tomo to check out while we were waiting for an event, I knew I wanted to try their coffee.
The storefront is located in the Sawtelle area by Blockheads and other popular restaurants. There are a few tables outside in the patio area, but there are plenty of seats inside the restaurant as well. The menu is fairly simple, with drinks and pastries that you order at the cashier. They will call out your order when it is ready.
Prices are not too bad considering the area that Coffee Tomo is located in. I tried the Tomo Latte (essentially a Spanish Latte) and the cinnamon pretzel. The latte was really good and very similar to Urthe’s. The coffee art on top made it extra tasty.
My friend ordered their popular sweet potato and cheese pretzel which was around $ 5-​$ 6. I decided to order a simple cinnamon sugar pretzel, about $ 3-​$ 4. The sweet potato pretzel looked humongous and delicious as it came out of the oven. The sweet potato cheese filling is wrapped into the bread, so when you take a bite out of the bread, the filling just oozes out. And it’s not too heavy at all. There’s enough sweet potato and cheese flavor that goes well with the pretzel. I definitely think it’s worth the price.
My pretzel, however … was a big letdown. I expected it to be just as thick as the sweet potato and cheese pretzel, but it was so skinny and thin. It basically was just a thin bread dipped in cinnamon sugar, but the sugar did not stick onto the bread. So essentially it was just a plain pretzel (kind of crispy due to the thinness) with some cinnamon sugar at the bottom of the basket. I don’t think paying around $ 4 was worth it since my pretzel didn’t have any taste.
They do offer free Wi-​Fi. I think Coffee Tomo is a great place to sit and work (but it can get a little loud), catch up with friends, or people watch. I definitely will be back if I’m in the area.

As a non-​coffee drinker, I had never thought of going to Coffee Tomo but when a friend mentioned that they had amazing stuffed pretzels, I was all in!
Right at 5pm was a perfect time to go as there was plenty of parking nearby and the shop had open tables. While most of the customers were working on their laptops, we sat and chatted in between bites of pretzels and the caramel brick toast.
I ordered the sweet potato and cheese, which was awesome! Pulling apart the freshly baked pretzel exposed the gooey mozzarella and sweet potato filling, which was such an interesting and successful combination. The bread was just as excellent — warm, soft, and chewy. My friends enjoyed the red bean and cheese and the jalapeño cheese pretzels.
We split the caramel brick toast. This was very well done! Toasted, lightly buttered on the bottom, with whipped cream on top and a caramel glaze with cinnamon and sugar on the plate. What could be better???
The prices of course are a little high — $ 5 for the toast and $ 5 for the pretzels. But, it was oh, so worth it!
