Get the 3 ladies. You won’t be disappointed. Milk tea with boba, grass jelly, and egg pudding. :)

I love their sago, I don’t normally like the boba balls, so the sago was a great substitute. The sago was especially yummy when paired with the mango flavors, I would definitely visit again next time I am in the area.

I’m from China so you can clearly trust my review of boba over the others, right? Coco’s is my favorite place for boba both at home in Shanghai and here in Los Angeles. Of course, America’s version is about three times sweeter and costlier(it literally costs less than $ 1 in China), but I truly think it’s the best for miles around. I almost always order two ladies — partly because it’s such a fun name for a drink to say(«hi, how much for 2 ladies? hot please»). It’s the tea flavor and the quality of the boba that gets me coming back. In comparison, Volcano, Lollicup and MJ Express are all too watered down for my tastes. Their boba is also inconsistent, whereas I always find Coco’s to be chewy and fresh, which is why I’ll continue being a regular. Note the $ 10 card minimum(the closest ATM is the Tomato Bank one by Volcano which charges $ 3 to withdraw so come prepared with cash). Park in the garage underneath — Coco’s validates for 45 minutes. Make sure to ask for a stamp card because you’ll definitely be back.

This place certainly has a lot of hype – too much, and I’ll say it does not stand up to its expectations. Do I think it was horrible? No. The crowd makes it seem like it’s the best boba place in town though. I didn’t have bad experience with service, just the wait was very long for a very mediocre milk tea boba drink. It did not taste like it was just made, and the boba seemed like it was sitting out for a very long time. I was quite disappointed since I really wanted to like this place! Long wait, mediocre drink, old boba-I won’t be back, especially with the other alternative boba places around the corner!

Love this place. I’ve tried a number of drinks. Most are good. I love the fresh grapefruit juice drinks. The house milk teas are bomb. They have great cream topping. You must try the cream teas! So simple yet so delicious. Taste just like Hong Kong style milk tea. They can be inconsistent though. Some of the employees that make the drinks are better than others. Sometimes the l boba isn’t sweet or they run out. Still very good drinks.

The best place to get boba in West LA. I’ve tried a couple other places in the area and nothing compares to this place. To all of you who are expecting 626 quality deliciousness, lets be real. This is as good as it’s going to get and we will gladly take it with open arms. Their teas and juices taste fresh and not like those instant powders/flavorings some tea shops tend to use. Their boba is chewy goodness! They have a couple drink options for those of you who don’t want caffeine. They have frequent buyer stamp cards so don’t forget to ask for one!

I didn’t expect to love Coco but I really did! I got the grapefruit green tea with boba and it was FANTASTIC! The tea had fresh grapefruit in it(pulp and all which I loved) and the bubbles were perfection. They were the exact combination of chewy and soft that I was looking for. It’s not a cheap bubble tea yet the quality is totally worth it. Wish I had gotten a large! I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in LA!

Apparently this place is really good, but I have one problem. Why don’t they have Thai Tea? Tell me. TELLME!!!

This review is pretty much for the Grapfruit Greentea. My friends and I dropped by after dinner because my friends liked their grapefruit greentea. And I thought it was ok. They use freshly squeezed grapefruit. You get that tartness and a bit of bitterness of grapefruit along w the pulp. It was good but I barely tasted the green tea. It tasted like grapefruit juice… which is not bad but it’s not what I was expecting. I was expecting more greentea w hint of grapefruit or at least taste the green tea… Haha. But it was good bc it tasted like real grapefruit juice. I didnt check out their other items on the menu nor any of their boba so I can’t really speak for that. Service was ok. But the space is really limited inside the boba shop. People are sort of gathered around/standing around for their drinks in limited space that its kinda clusterphobic. I can’t imagine how it will be if it got any busier…

I think that Coco’s is the best place for boba on Sawtelle. I always go here when I’m eating on Sawtelle or I am craving boba after a long day of class. Personally, I am a big fan of their milk tea, jasmine milk tea, and mango slushie. I also like how you can adjust how sweet(0−100%) you want your drink to be, and also how much ice(less ice, no ice, etc.) you want in your drink. I usually get my milk teas 70% sugar with no ice and egg pudding. Their boba tapioca balls are okay, but I wish they were sweeter. But their egg pudding is pretty good and is not too sweet. It can get pretty busy here at nights, especially weekends, but the line moves fast, and there’s a flat-screen tv showing some Asian music videos to entertain you while you wait. Also, be aware that there is a $ 5 minimum if you pay via credit card. Finally, if you are just stopping by for a quick boba fix and you don’t want to waste so much time finding parking, you can try parking in the structure that is below Coco’s, and Coco’s will validate the ticket. Sometimes, there’s no one even at the parking booth, so you can just park and get boba.

CoCo is the best boba place on Sawtelle. The quality is pretty consistent and the drink selection is smaller, but everything I’ve tried is good. The only bad thing is the really long lines, especially Fridays and Saturdays. There’s also no indoor seating(besides a small waiting bench) which is annoying. These long lines and lack of seating are usually problems when it’s cold outside, but otherwise I don’t mind. My favorite drink here is probably the hot matcha latte with red bean! It’s good cold too, but better hot. The passionfruit green tea is also popular. The other drink I might normally get in my rotation is jasmine milk tea with grass jelly. It would also be nice if they didn’t have a $ 5 minimum to use credit cards, but I guess this is pretty common.

This is a great place for cold drinks! Lemon Honey Tea, Taro Milk Tea, Iced Jasmine Green Tea. It’s usually pretty busy here but the line moves quite quickly and there’s a big screen tv showing asian music videos. They don’t have a wide variety of hot drinks and they don’t have actual real honey here which I find really odd. Credit card minimum is $ 5, so if you’re getting one drink, you might have to use cash. They don’t have smoothies and their boba is pretty good. If you’re in the area and want something refreshing to drink, check this place out!

3.5 stars? Ordered a standard medium pearl milk tea, 70% sweet, less ice. Tea was good, but not extraordinary. I’m not wowed because I know I can get the same quality pearl milk tea at Dolphin Bay in Cerritos for BOGO value. Seems like their fruit drinks are more their specialty, such as their grapefruit juice with fruit chunks and grapefruit yogurt juice. Will need to come back again to get a final verdict on this place. They do have stamp cards for frequent fliers. Card purchases must be over $ 10, so order 2 drinks or pay for a friend and Venmo them.

Yummy boba! CoCo is one of the many places you can get boba around Cal. They have a fair amount of tables and it’s slightly bigger than most of the smaller shops around town. There’s a large variety of boba’s and juices on the menu. I got a passion fruit boba which I highly recommend!

I am not in love with the CoCo. I am from Vegas and always hear how Cali is the King of Boba. This place is located in the heart of Sawtelle and I was convinced that I would like my drink, especially with their good ratings on Unilocal. SERVICE My cashier wasn’t friendly at all. She seemed uncertain every time I asked her a question. She ended up messing up our order. Bleh. DRINKS I opted for their Jasmine Milk Tea and added light boba(Ended up getting full scoop of boba because of mess up). Well… it tasted like 2% fat milk. It didn’t have a slightest hint of tea, all I could taste was milk. Even after the adjustment in which they added more tea, it still just tasted like milk. Boba. It was waaaay overcooked. It was a mush and texture was similar to grass jelly. Boba itself had absolutely no flavor. You know boba is bad when you see clumps of boba stuck in the straw. No thanks. I also got to try Mango Yogurt Slush, less sweet. It was a regular mango slush but with a scoop of yogurt. It reminded me of Mango Snow that you can get at other boba shops, but without the heavy milk. Surprisingly very refreshing. CONCLUSION I won’t be back.

This boba place is very small so if you’re expecting to chill with a bunch of friends while having their great boba tea, then my suggestion is for you to get it «to go» and chill some place else. Their Milk teas taste a lot better and their bobas are softer than the Lollicup which is located across the street.

Coco’s is located in the heart of Sawtelle so parking is always a pain. Take my advice and park at the free lot by Michaels and just walk across the street. I am never disappointed with the drink quality here. I’m not a huge fan of overly sweet drinks and boba/pudding so I keep it simple and order the Grapefruit Green Tea with ½ the sweetener. I must add that it is very refreshing and a real thirst quencher! My other go-to is the Taro Milk Tea with ½ the sweetener and no boba, I know I know… I’m super boring. The reason why I gave this place a 2 star rating is because the drink quality is at a 5 but the service is at a 0. I can’t count how many times I’ve been here and was blatantly treated with disrespect. I’m not sure who trained the staff but most of them have no sense of giving a damn about what customer satisfaction entails. My friend ordered a drink one time and the cashier told her to look at the screen to make sure everything she ordered was correct. When the order came out wrong, we approached the cashier to ask if she can fix it and she replies«you confirmed the order, we can’t fix it because it’s your fault.» Although my friend overlooked the mistake on her end, the cardinal rule is that the CUSTOMERISALWAYSRIGHT. I’ve worked in customer service practically my whole grown up life so I’d slap anyone on my staff if they would ever say that to a sweet customer. My friend was too nice to say anything but man, that would never fly with me. To wrap it up, customer service really goes a long way with me and many others so I’d skip on this place if you’re looking for a pleasant experience. Although the drinks are great, you’ll only catch me here if a friend wants to go.

Yummm! This CoCo is located right at the edge of Japantown and you can find parking underground in the building(free on Sundays). I keep hearing the grapefruit is super good but I personally got a mango drink and absolutely loved it. If you’re more into the fruit boba drinks like I am, then this is definitely your go to place. There’s no seating inside — some seating outdoors but it could get packed. Luckily there’s other plazas nearby you can walk to and hang out at as well.

Heard of this place from numerous places: hong kong, new york… etc, Saw this one at Sawtelle and decided to give it a try. They took down my order incorrectly and had to pull me back and asked for more money… wth. I had a honey green tea and it was like 4 dollars, a bit expensive. The taste was okay. Just like other tea places. I still like sharetea more

I love this place! It is so cute and clean. I always order the tropical tea with boba. It’s a combination of papaya, mango, and passionfruit. A friend ordered it the first time I went and I loved it so much that I order it every time I go. The flavor is fresh and sweet. The boba is soft with the right amount of chewiness. I usually order the large and by the time I drive home(I live a mile away) it’s already gone. The flavor is just so good and refreshing. The décor of the place is so colorful and aesthetically pleasing. I don’t mind waiting in line because I enjoy the energy in there. If you like boba, this is the place to be on the Westside.
