Honestly, my nails turned out well but they nickel and dime you. I’m super loyal to my nail lady but she’s so hard to schedule so tried this place. She left me more than once to tend to another«regular client» then she shaved down way to the cuticle and was so painful and felt burning. To the fact I told her okay stop! And though mid acrylic I would leave. She asked if I was nervous, no not nervous in pain. 3 dollars extra for matte top«matte different everyone charge more» ugh NOPE not any salon I’ve been to. She assured me that nails last 4 weeks, we shall see. She did a good job but it just was painful in the process and she was sweet she told me nails will last a month. Idk hope it is true but

I use to come here often. But the last time I got an eyebrow wax, manicure and pedicure was the day I was done with this place. All happened on different occasions. The owner Cheri would always do my eyebrows. She was always patient and sweet. The last time I got my eyebrows waxed she rushed and was a little cold with me. Left one thicker than the other. I thought maybe she had other clients but after she was done with my eyebrows she went to go sit down. Not good. The lady who did my manicure decided to put oil on my hands and putting the polish afterwards which smeared everywhere. Look terrible! When she realized she messed up she told me not to look at my nails. Wtf? And my last pedicure was more than likely done by a new lady who was probably training. the owner had to swing by every 3 minutes correcting her because she was not doing the job right. It was just bad, you get what you pay for.

I’ve never been here before, I work down the street and decide to give them a try despite all the bad reviews. I broke a nail yesterday don’t have time to go to my regular tech. They were very polite and got serviced immediately. First she didn’t carry the cappuccino color :/she only had a similar color… so I went with it, she charge me $ 4.00 to fix my nail. My nails were shape as coffin she didn’t do a good job by shaping it like the others. I also got a nail design for $ 3.00 which is not bad and I was content with it. I’ll probably go here again when I have a emergency fix and or design.

Terrible. NOT clean. NOT good at doing nails. They cut me multiple times when doing a pedicure and manicure. I won’t be able to wear normal shoes for awhile because my toes are so cut up. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Got my eyebrows waxed here & Cheri, who’s name is also Nam, does an excellent job! She’s in my top 3 for taking her time & making sure it came out perfectly. So, for quality of work, 2 stars! The service was superb. Very friendly people! All the employees greeted me while I walked my way to the waxing room. So, 1 ½ more stars! &YES!!! …the place could use some serious upgrades & maybe some remodeling! But from the looks of things, it does seem that they try with what they can. This place has potential. Therefore, ½ star.

I would like to think I was a regular at this place. Each time I got a little worse service or was pushed to the point of being insulted. For example, «oh don’t you want to look beautiful, you need eyebrow wax to look beautiful for your husband. If you get man/pedi every 3 weeks instead of month you’ll be pretty. All the women are getting bright orange you should too. « It went beyond the typical sales pitch and they were too pushy about it, not just with new people or regulars, but everyone! Then they started doing add-ons that I didn’t ask for and didn’t know would cost extra until I paid and they would say oh your total is $ 45, and you only gave me $ 45. Um you said $ 40, then would come the but I work extra hard and used ___as well. So what finally broke the straw so I’ll never come back again? I moved and had been driving 54 miles to still come here, and they wrote down the wrong appt time for me, so Nam passed me off on the newer person, who spoke no English at all and everything had to be translated for her. Not to mention Nam said to me the previous month that this«girl is big trouble». Ok continuing on, the gel manicure chipped on day one! After 7 days it started to peel off, and by two weeks I didn’t have a single nail without chips or peeling. Lam, Nam’s son, was nice as always but he just can’t do ingrown nails like his mom, and one wasn’t done properly and became infected. Also I had to remind them 2 times about the lotion massage that goes with the manicure, and they know they didn’t do it, but made it seem like I was annoying, hello that’s part of the service and for $ 45 in this rundown place, full of flies with no a/c, you’re lucky you’re still in business. All in all, I am tired of paying them for subpar service, being passed off to the worst manicurist who’s trouble, them not paying attention and me ending up with a missing spot of polish with gel or dust, etc that can’t be fixed because its gel… None of them know how to do simple designs well, little alone the more extravagant ones out there. Their color choices for gel are very minimal, their regular polishes when they run low, they mix it with this clear stuff to make it stretch further so you don’t get the full deal, and the polishes are not OPI and are cheaper quality. They’ve forgotten top coats, lotion massage, and never do they put the massage feature on the chair. What they don’t forget though is to try and sell you more services or special lotion.

The place is a hole in the wall, but they clean everything with bleach. They even put it in the peditub while you soak(you can decline it). No fungus here, despite the rather dusty environment. No air either, but Nam’s nephew did a mani for me 3 weeks ago and it is just now starting to show a little wear and tear. 3 Weeks. Nam should have a degree in poditary — She removes the evil ingrown toenails better than any MD I’ve ever consulted. When they are busy they can be a bit scattered and the service is not the best. I try to go when they aren’t that busy — later in the afternoon has worked for me. If you can get there when it is dead, the service is amazing. Overall, they are really nice people, work hard, and do a great job for the price.

This place is across the street from me. Nothing fancy. Pick a color and go as plain as you can, but it’s convenient.

WOW. The previous reviews are BRUTAL! I wont sugar coat anything, yes, the place is funky and dirty but what the hell do you expect for a $ 19 mani AND pedi? Its most def a hole in the wall BUT! If you do find yourself here for some random reason, go to Lam for the pedi and Kate for your mani. I’ve only been here all of 3 times however, ALL3TIMES the polish job was an 9 out of 10. I’m super picky about how my nails are painted and I have NOCOMPLAINTS… if they make a mess outside of the nail line, they’ll clean it up with a brush to make it perfect. Yes, they charge you if you use a credit/debit card but so what, give them less of a tip– weigh it out. If you want La Vie L’Orange this is not it– OBVI. However, if your in a pinch and on a budget, this place will do just fine. BTW, Kate does french manicures PERFECTLY.

The only reason I am giving this place one star is because I think I have to in order to rate it. I happened upon this nail salon with my little sister, and we thought we’d try it out. While the owner was giving my sister a manicure, a regular came in, and the owner was in such a rush to do my sister’s manicure so that she could help her regular that she cut my sister’s cuticle so much that it bled for a half an hour. She couldn’t even pain it by the time we left because the blood was still gushing onto her nail. She tried to put it in antiseptic, tried to tourniquette it with a glove, and then even tried to cut it again, only to have it bleed more! She then charged my sister for her manicure, and the next week, when I went to check my credit card statement, they overcharged my credit card $ 4 after I gave a separate cash tip. …very very very bad.

I’ve tried for so long to like this place. It’s right down the street and the ladies who work there are super nice. But everything else is awful. There’s no air ever so I’m borderline unconscious the whole time I’m in there because of the smells. The polishes always chip and never last. If there are ever people waiting, they rush through and do a pretty shitty job. And I can’t stand places that charge you money to use your credit card. Nails Gone Wild opened up right around the corner and they’ve figured it out much better than Cheri’s Nails so I’m not sure how much longer they’ll last.

worst place i’ve ever been to. I am a regular at getting my nails done and recently moved to L. A for college. I went to this place and as i was getting my nails done the lady was shaking and put nail polish all over my toes, she kept having to clean it up with acetone. They are expensive as well. NOTWORTHGOINGHERE. YOU’LLREGRETIT !
