Very poor experience. Not only did they show up late for the first two appointments but, the (extremely old) instructor was talking negative about our neighborhood. He continued to degrade our neighborhood to our kid during the driving lesson. This was not much of surprise knowing the caliber of people that tend to live in Glendale.
In addition, the instructor would play the stereo and pay very little attention during the driving lesson. It got so bad, the instructor even tried to get our kid to read while driving! When we called to ask for extra driving time, since the instructor continued to show up late for appointments, the extremely rude receptionist argued with us.
Just another experience with disrespectful Glendale’ians who barely speak english.

Three weeks ago I came to Soren with a mission; I needed my license before I went back to college. I had to pass on my first try since it would be hard to schedule another appointment in such short notice. Fortunately, he not only helped me pass, he did it at such a great price.
I’ve had other instructors who were more expensive, wouldn’t even pick me up at my house, and muttered disappointment as I, a first-​time driver, drove at the busy streets of Glendale.
However, Soren was completely different. He was friendly, encouraging, and funny. I felt relaxed and confident whenever I drove.
I definitely recommend him to anyone learning how to drive, experienced or inexperienced.

all my high school friends took driving and traffic lessons at chase and they all passed with one try. Soo finally after years of contemplating I finally set a schedule with chase. I only have one month before my permit expired and Soren made sure that I was actually ready to take the exam[he won’t make you an appointment if he knows you weren’t fully ready to take the exam]. the company itself was very organized, and I like the idea of them picking you up at your place and also dropping you off where you want to be dropped off. I paid $ 330 for 6 hours lessons + using their car on the actual test! I know it a little bit pricey but it was totally worth it because he would make sure to help you pass the test, PLUS some of the driving school that I know charged you $ 500 for 6 hours and that is without the car or $ 250 for 4 hours and again without the car anyways you get what I mean? sooo I would recommend this driving school! he may raised his voice when you are doing something wrong, but he is waaaay calmer to an asian parent trying to teach you how to drive LOL. ohh and I passed my driving exam with one try, on the day that my permit would expired soo yeah im really happy with this driving school.

they do what they said they do, i had an alright teacher, i did pass my test but i was in a very uncomfortable situation the day of my exam, i paid to use the instructors car, turns out he was a bit of a racist… so i wasnt sure if i should review it or not but i decided to because i mean i did pass, but there were some situations that i was uncomfortable with.

Barely started driving and on my first day, my instructor Soren guided me through my first day driving on the street! You learn a lot just from one day!

I have never driven a car in my life. I grew up in NYC and after 10 months of living in Los Angeles I decided that it was finally time. I scheduled an appointment for 4:00 — 6:00pm with I believe someone named Mar over the phone. She told me I’d be picked up at my home and could give a check to the instructor for payment.
At 3:21 on the day of my first lesson, I received a phone call requesting that I start my driving lesson at 3:30 instead of 4:00. This irked me but I was just relaxing at home so agreed. I meet Soren who is immediately extremely patronizing. Soren utilizes a dual brake car which was some relief. I discovered also that he had an appointment at 5:30 with another student. I was confused about this since I had scheduled my appointment for 4:00 — 6:00pm. Apparently there is some lapse in communication in terms of scheduling.
Soren is very brusque, does not explain things clearly (his instructions are limited to, «GO!», «More gas,» «Less gas» and «Listen to me!») As someone who has literally NEVER, EVER driven a car in her life (which I made extremely clear), he did little to make me feel relaxed or comfortable. He berated me the entire time with comments such as, «You drive like a 15 year old,» «Don’t you see my job is so dangerous with drivers like you?» and «You do not listen to me!» He would give one instruction «More gas!» immediately followed with «Take your foot off the gas!» then would get frustrated when I took a second to respond. I understand driving is extremely difficult to teach as much of it is intuitive, but basically putting me in a car, telling me to go, assuming I know how everything is going to react to this or that amount of pressure, and then yelling at me when I DON’T know is not helpful. I spent almost the entirety of the the lesson apologizing to Soren and trying to hold back tears.
The worst part came when I did not know that one had to entirely release pressure from the gas pedal during a turn AS HE DID NOT INFORM ME PRIOR. I did this which resulted in the car moving very quickly. He yelled at me to take my foot of the gas, which I did, but then he proceeded WHILE MY FOOT WAS OFF THE GAS PEDAL, TO SWAT MY LEG AS ONLOOKERS WATCHED. I was completely humiliated. I would like to reiterate that this was a dual brake car and he had absolutely no reason to touch me in the first place, but especially not after I had already taken my foot off the pedal. This was not the only time he swatted me – at another point (in which we were in a completely pulled over, safe position with the brakes on) I could not maneuver the hand brake because I have literally never touched one before in my life. He swatted my hand away.
Later, we went to pick up his 5:30 student — a male. Soren was much calmer and patient with him which I can’t help but feel like Soren’s verbal and physical abuse of me was partially related to a most likely sexist view of his female students/​drivers.
At the end Soren said to me, «It won’t be so bad next time.» It should not have been bad in the first place. I felt completely dejected after my lesson and like I would never learn to drive. I hope that I can find a driving school with calmer, more patient teachers the next time.

timely and reliable service all around! I realized my traffic school completion date was approaching quickly, I called this school and they were able to squeeze me into their class the next day! I obtained my certificate, and was given detailed instructions on exactly what I needed to submit to complete my obligation. I would highly recommend this school. I have attended other schools and the service I received here was second to none!

Where do i start? My driving instructor’s name was SoRen… a very nice guy and very funny… he will make sure u feel comfortable with him… he will teach what u need to learn… and will take u to the routes of the dmv test and he is always on time… took a 2hr class… then i used their cae during the test, they set the appointmnt for me… pick me up an hour before to go practice. took the test and i pass!!! I got more than what i paid for!!! Definitely recommend this school…

My Mom told me about this place and I didn’t really believe that the this driving school would help me in my driving, but after 8 hours behind the wheel (considering that I have NEVER driven a car before), I passed my exam. I definitely recommend this place to learn how to drive. Thanks, Zoran.

Great place! Soran, the driving instructor I had was really cool. He’s smart, he knows what he’s doing, and he actually doesn’t baby you and he lets you drive. He takes you to gorgeous neighborhoods and he’ll really teach you how to drive. I’m 16 and I passed my test the first try. Highly recommend this place! Ask for Soran! The most important way to start this review is by saying, after taking 3 hours of behind-​the-​wheel lessons with Chase, I got my license!
In reality, I really only needed a few pointers and practice because I’d already driven 40+ hours in my lifetime… but I got what I came for, so I’m pretty happy. I’m also pretty sure it has the best prices around.
I wouldn’t call it a super duper pleasant experience. mostly because my instructor wasn’t exactly super duper concerned with my well-​being (he hummed songs as I was trying to concentrate, spoke abruptly like «GO!» «More gas now» «what are you doing?!», spoke to his friends in a language I couldn’t understand and ignored me for the hours we were waiting at the DMV, told me to read from the handbook out-​loud like I was in 6^th grade…).
Luckily, he WAS concerned about me passing the test, and did a good job of preparing me for that. We drove around the DMV’s neighbourhood and he knew where the tester would take me and where all the different turns/​lane switches would be and how to handle them– and he had lots of good tips to help me pass.
So overall, the actual experience wasn’t one to celebrate… but who needs a good time in the past when you can drive in the present?!

I’ve been told that I am a very skilled driver. I have never been in accidents but I do make mistakes. This school is a great refresher course for experienced drivers who need to attend traffic school as well as excellent for people learning how to drive to prepare to get their license. The reason being is this little gem right here on the edge of Glendale is a traffic school that does not bore you to death, and… get this… you might actually learn something! When I went here I was refreshed to hear good and realistic traffic examples that didn’t insult my intelligence, and taught me some pointers that I thought I would know before coming there but actually ended up not knowing.
The test wasn’t horrendously difficult either, but I attribute that to the teacher setting up examples in a way that was easy for me to visualize. The price was very good too. It’s really a win-​win if you have to go to traffic school. To sum it all up, I recommend this school because of their prices, customer service, and method of displaying information/​curriculum.

I recommend this traffic school. For crying out loud… it’s TRAFFIC SCHOOL and NOONE really wants to be there! Fortunately, Ed made time pass sooner with the jokes and props he uses.

My dad and my mom went to this driving school expecting for a great driving school and polite workers who would assist me in my steps to getting on the road. But, what happened was that the front desk assistant named Mar was the one that talked to my dad and mom and it seemsed like she didnt know what she was talking about and didnt explain the package which was sold to us. They got home and told me that i was in driving school, so i wondered when my classes would start. They said that i was just supposed to read a manual and take online classes. The online classes were not even classes they were just free practice tests. I took the test on my own without their help and passed. Anyone can do this on their own. They really didnt do anything to assist me. 6 hours behind the wheel for 210 DOLLARsss??? I could get that for free from my dad or anyone else. The paper/​slip they gave to me wasn’t even needed at the DMV. what a waste of money, time and a bad decision. I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS TO ANYONE! you will get ripped off. Dont go here and use your money at a better driving school. This girl named Mar needs to be replaced after ten years of bad explanation and bad customer service.

Where do I begin… Magic Ed, thoughts on love, discussions around whether or not we live in a matriarchy today? My advice is strap yourself in, @ Chevy Chase driving school you will not only defer that traffic infraction, you will in fact get one step closer to the meaning of life.
Magic Ed was my instructor for the 8 hour session on Saturday. Magic Ed utilizes a myriad of props throughout in order to keep the attention of the class. For example, one prop is an elephant that will whisper answers into your brain. Be careful, by the end of the session Magic Ed will try to hock every prop he has. Be strong, do not submit.
As for the material, Magic Ed will do a little to try and scare you into thinking you will die next time you switch lanes without signaling, but on the whole he is a good sport. At the very least, you are not forced to watch one of those scary drunk driving videos. Somehow Magic Ed will undoubtedly veer into discussions on the meaning of love, how this is not longer a «man’s» world, and also death (unrelated to vehicles).
The breaks are healthy.
Also this place is cheaper than other options, only $ 30.
