I’ve been going to Celebrity Cleaners for 29 years, including their previous location a couple of hundred feet away. Reliable service, friendly people, reasonable prices. What more do you want? Reading some of the other reviews: I don’t need«rush» service so that’s a non-issue for me.

Ruined my wife’s wedding dress. If she did not know how to dry clean the wedding dress properly she should not offer wedding dress services.

Very very expensive! I went in and asked for a long sleeve cotton shirt to be ironed and she said no problem and when she was done she charged $ 5, not even the cleaners in Beverly Hills charge that much for just an iron, no wonder this place was dead, they are not going to gain any new customers with this kind of business practice and $$$$ prices

Most of the negative reviews are foolish, don’t pay attention to them. One crazy woman gave this place one star for a bad feeling she had before she got her dry cleaning, and never updated the review. Another guy is just acting like a baby. I come here all the time. Julie and her daughter Lisa are very sweet and always take good care of me. They have always done a great job and have great attitudes. It is right that they take a little more time than some other dry cleaners do, but only the two of them work there. I can wait a couple days if I can be confident that I’ll have great service and well cleaned clothes.

I guess I’m going to be the other side of the story on this cleaner. In my experience this cleaner does good work but it does always seems to take longer than it should. The first time I used this cleaner I took a sport jacket in to have it cleaned and I couldn’t believe it when they told me how long it was going to take. 5 days! No express option, no next day service. I didn’t throw a fuss about it and I’m not important enough to need express service or think that I deserved it washed immediately, just a bit shocked is all. I have used some dry cleaners in the past that if you had something dropped off before a certain time they guaranteed it cleaned by the next day. Now I don’t use dry cleaners enough to know if that is common or uncommon I just was suprised at how long it was going to take. But the coat was cleaned very well and the price was reasonable. The lady who is always there working the register and I believe is the owner is always friendly and helpful to me. Although, to be fair I do remember her making a point of seeing my reciept when I picked up my jacket(which was mentioned in an earlier review). But doesn’t this make sense? Isn’t the reason for this to in theory keep people from stealing clothes?(Although I guess it isn’t always fool proof) It seems like a very nice cleaners. Every time I’ve used them I have been satisfied with their work. But I realize that I see dry cleaning as a luxury and am willing to wait a few days for the clothes I don’t need to be cleaned in a hurry. If you are one of those important people that sees dry cleaning as a neccesity this may not be the cleaners for you. But who knows? Give them a shot, they do good work and may be able to accomodate your schedule. Side note — I have never used their tailoring service.

One star is too good for this place. OMG, these people suck. ~Not quite sure what to do with them… probably small claims court. I have never bashed ANYONE on Unilocal, but this outfit deserves it. I was across the street at Whole Foods and saw this place was a «green dry cleaners», so I thought I would give them a try. March 12th, I dropped off six,(expensive) dress shirts. As I was sorting and counting, I almost held back my favorite… but let her take it.(my mistake) ~ ~ 2nd trip: I came back 5 days later and the owner asked my name. She looked up the number and started spinning the conveyer belt around and around and around again. She then started it in slow motion as I looked for my shirts. Then she let her crazy out, and it started: Owner: «You pick up already» Me: «No, I did not pick my shirts up already, that’s why I’m here, NOW.» Owner /Bitch:(loud & accusatory) «Where your receipt? You pick up already.» Me:(Holding my tongue) Bitch: «I not do anything without receipt.» Me: «You have a copy of the receipt in your hand.» Bitch: «This my receipt, you bring your receipt.» Me: «I’ll try to find the receipt, It might be in my car or at home.» (receipts often elude me)(btw, 25 years of using Flair Cleaners, I’ve never needed the receipt) ~ ~ 3rd trip: 2 days later, receipt in hand Owner:(acting very nice now) «I’m so sorry, someone must of taken them.» Me: what do you want me to do? Owner: I need you to come back in three(3) weeks, they will bring them back.“ Me:(holding my tongue, wanting to say, «Are you fucking kidding me?» Cutting her more slack than any dry cleaner deserves… I said, «OKAY.» Her English is now superb, as she hugs me. «Thank you, brother, she says.» ~ ~ 4th trip: 3 weeks later Me: «It’s me Richard, did anyone return my shirts?»(knowing they wouldn’t) Owner: «No. How much you pay for shirts?» Me: «Lots. As a matter of fact, I paid a personal shopper $ 500.00 just to go with me and pick the the shirts out.»(i knew she’d have a stoke) Bitch:(she literally had a meltdown) NO. YOULIAR. NOWAY. YOUGETMERECEIPTS. Me. «I’ll get you your receipts.» (She was still having a mental breakdown yelling in Chinese to herself as I was walking out… sad) It’s been six weeks… not resolved. To be continued…

I went to take my new long summer dress to get altered at this shop. She said it was $ 18 and it would take 5 days. I was so happy that went to were it the next day. When I put it on I was socked to find that the whole bottom was completely uneven. So on that Monday(2 days later) I took it back. She said it was vary difficult when wearing it. That it was uneven because I was wearing it wrong. So laid it flat on her floor so she could she how obvious it was. She keep repeating her self. So I said I would try it on. Considering one side was an inch shorter. So she keep trying to adjust it, while telling me it was fine. I was so mad. Like I was blind. So she said she whould fix it.lol. So when she was getting my information again she said that it would be $ 25. So I aked why I would pay for her mistakes, so she said it again it’s vary difficult. I told her forget it I have pictures of this and I we’ll not pay.(This was Monday) She then grabbed the dress and told«No No I do it for you this int time but next you no it’s a mistake and no free fix.» I couldn’t believe it. She said it would be ready by Sat. I ok. Went back Saturday she never touched it. She told me she was going to do it tonight it would be ready tomorrow. What a joke there not even open on Sunday. So as I’m sure you could imagine I took my dress home. It’s been almost a month and still haven’t worn it. I really wish I could have money back!!!

Ok, so this is the first time I am using them. We have been taking our Dry Cleaning to another place for YEARS. Celebrity Cleaners is within walking distance. My husband and I were out running errands and needed to ship something from the Postal Service across the street. We decided to give it a chance. We have 2 weddings coming up out of town this weekend. I dropped off all 3 dresses that I am going to wear to get dry cleaned and I’m not going to lie I’m a little nervous. I really didn’t get a good feeling about the place. 2 of my dresses are VERY expensive and have never been worn. She just ripped off the garment bags and pretty much started man-handling the dresses on the counter. It was making me so nervous. I know it’s just dry cleaning but if anything happens to these dresses I am SCREWED. My husband dropped off a couple shirts and his suit pants. We’re picking them up Wednesday afternoon and hopefully everything will be ok. Fingers are crossed. I don’t know why I have such a bad feeling but part of me wanted to just take my dresses and run! So for now I’m giving them a 1 for the bad feeling and for the way she ripped my bags and were throwing around the dresses. I will update again when I get the dresses back.
