Went for menudo and was disappointed. WEAK!!! This restaurant needs a little more inviting atmosphere. Place is ghetto and not to mention the parking is bad!

Good Fortas and tacos! I came here with two friends who had come earlier in the day and said that it was good. I did not disagree. The establishment was a little on the smaller side but that in no way had anything to do with the food. I would come back when I’m back in the LA area! Carne Asada was well seasoned and made my torta delicious!!!

My experience here was somewhere between good and OK. I ordered the macho burrito with carnitas to go. I was happy with the variety of fillings in it, but overall it was fairly bland. While the food was not exceptional, the prices were so great that it was almost in line with fast food prices. And if you compare this place to fast food, this place wins. I would go back again. Pros: GREAT prices — definitely lower than other places in the area Giant portions(at least for the macho burrito) Quick service Decent tortilla chips Cons: Bland food — no spice in burrito Carnitas were dry and in need of seasoning

I’m a fan of Campos Tacos in general. This is the one that is closest to my house and easiest to stop by on my way to work. I always get the same thing — a #2 with a ground beef enchilada. It’s always consistent. The rice and beans are legit. This last time I went there I also bought a cup of salsa to go because it’s that good. My only complaint is that I have seen them microwave my Styrofoam container which can’t be healthy.

The rice didn’t taste fresh and the beans were not as tasty as some of the E. LA Mexican restaurants. I usually give good reviews on here but I was disappointed. The food didn’t have that magical authentic Mexican sabor. To be fair, I will try it again or maybe a different location. My mom was an awesome Jalisco style old school cook and she taught me all the dishes so being a cook with flair myself, and I eat out a lot at mom and pop to high end restaurants, I know what is good and what is not.

I used to live down the street from here. Perfect place when you had one of those nights and the only cure is grease and carbs. Those hard shell tacos hit the spot. I moved a little farther, so now I have to jump in a car to go here but when I need it it’s worth the drive.

I’m trying to give this place another try after I was dissatisfied with my service and taco. I understand people have«off» days but this place is not worth trying UNLESS the owner is working. You’re lucky to NOT be over charged and have the correct order of the other workers are there. I got all the way home and my order was wrong, yet again. Needless to say, I won’t be returning and giving this place any more of my business. If the workers weren’t watching tv while taking and preparing orders, maybe this place would get more business. There is a young man whom is the cashier. Beware of him! He will Screw up your order in a heartbeat. He also acts as if he is hearing impaired.

This place has the BEST fish tacos and taquitos. I come here at least once a week to get them. My boyfriend loves the tamales and enchiladas. We generally eat pretty healthy 5 – 6 days a week. On days we don’t eat super healthy and feel like treating ourselves to something hearty and satisfying, we come here. Service is also great. I told my boyfriend that I wouldn’t mind coming here for Valentine’s Day. I hope he knows I’m not joking. Love it here. Btw, they have awesome green salsa that’s super spicey and makes everything taste even more awesome.

I’ve been to the one on Robertson numerous times and it was consistently pretty good. I noticed this one recently because it’s really close to my house. A friend and I ordered several different things to try and honestly it was not good at all. The service was good and your food is prepared quickly and you can’t beat the cost, but however the food taste nothing like the location on Robertson. I won’t be back for a second try.

Located right around the corner from our shop, Campos Tacos is the place we go to quite often. Our order usually consists of 10 – 12 large burritos. Let me tell you, they are tasty. Everyone here is happy… and no one is left hungry. The food is always fresh, quick and inexpensive.

My boyfriend and I had to get car estimates in the area and none of the shops open until around 9AM… we’ve driven by campos before and never stopped, but today in the midst of estimates it sounded yummy! We tried the Machaca plate, which included eggs scrambled with Machaca and peppers and onions(so flavorful), two tortillas(flour was so yummy even by itself), rice, and refried beans topped with cheese. They also have a salsa bar with green salsa, green relish, red hot salsa, chunky red salsa with cilantro onions and the works and a jalapeño onion mix. All were tasty and delicious! My boyfriend tried the sausage breakfast burrito which included sausage, egg, cheese and was very big! Both dishes included yummy deep fried chips. Would definitely come here again to get my Mexican food fix!

Delicious food at a fair price. I’m always greeted my friendly staff in the evening shifts, not so much in the morning. My cashier, Jorge, was very understanding with how picky I am. I asked for most of my condiments on the side. He had great conversation and was able to multi task and both work the cashier section and also cook all the food. Carne asada is delicious and the salsa is to die for! Ive been to several campos locations but this is the best one!

I ate here today and got sick from the burrito. I had to(explicit) to get it out to feel better. I wouldn’t recommend or go back.

This is my local mexican fast food source and it is fantastic and cheap. It’s not gourmet but the food is high quality and tasty for the price and the staff are always nice! The all carne asada burrito is highly recommended as is the horchata.

Burrito was good, service was mediocre(the owner seemed like he had better things to do other than help the one customer that came in within a 40 minute timeframe), and the chips tasted store bought. No frills, so know what you want and enjoy 9 out of the 10 items on the menu are under their $ 7 card minimum, so unless you plan on balling out — have cash!

Wow ! Thank you ! I came here after two failed attempts to get service at 11am before the lunch rush other nearby establishments(uuggh, Rainbow Acres; RedBread place). I ordered my a ground beef enchilada to go expecting to wait forever, but it was ready in seconds ! It was delicious. Thank you !!

I really enjoy Mexican food. And I particularly love low cost Mexican food. But for some reason this place is awful. I live right across the street and want to like it, so I go there frequently, but they simply cannot get my order right. Additionally, their preparations are always non-standard in some fashion(why are the tacos al pastor sweet?). Am a big fan of tacos el gallito. Can’t go wrong there.

This place is hole-in-the-wall authentic and excellent! The Crispy Tacos have Ground Beef that tastes sooo good! They load you up with 3 Tacos and a Drink with Chips for 6.95! Worth every cent and more! I have been all over eating Mexicano Food, and I am half Mexican(Aguas Calientes Mexico) and have had plenty of the real deal homemade stuff… and frankly I loved the Tacos. Have not tried anything else yet, but will be back! Cheap, Tasty and Pronto! What more can you ask for in a little Taco joint?!

Please… step way from the microwave. So I ordered the nachos supreme. As I was walking back to the table I heard the beeping of the microwave going at it. When I got called to pick up my order… I saw how much they’ve over did it. The tortilla chips themselves were hot, the meat lost its flavor, and the cheese was burnt. Meanwhile the microwave continued beeping to fulfill the orders after me. If I knew my food was not going to be fresh, I would not go there at all. Even greasy spoon restaurants fire up their grill. I’m not asking for much but it was just gross. I ended up throwing it all away.

All of the Campo’s seem to be great. I’m addicted to the Avocado Burrito and the wife gives them high marks for their Fish Tacos. I seem to end up here once a week and I’m never disappointed. The tacos are huge, by the way. The three taco deal is extremely filling and I’ve enjoyed both the Al Pastor and the Carne Asada.

Yo quiero flavor. We’ve all been driving past tiny Campos Tacos on Washington Blvd. for awhile. Now I know why. To say this is a riddle wrapped inside an enigma wrapped inside a taco would be confusing. The Three Soft Taco Special(includes a drink) for $ 6.95 seemed like the best deal … as tacos are individually priced at $ 2.50. Campos isn’t the cheapest hole-in-the-wall joint around, but the meat portions were large for each of the double Corn Tortilla Tacos. Sadly, they just weren’t very tasty. Carnitas — Big chunks of surprisingly tasteless braised pork Chicken — Tame taco with cheese. Why was it «watery»? Asada — So bland it tasted like the pork … which tasted like the chicken Apparently, I’m not the only one who has been driving by Campos without stopping because it was dead without a single customer. I stood at the order counter for almost 90 seconds before seeing an employee. Even with free parking and hefty tacos, the striking lack of spice or flavor at Campos Tacos will finally allow me to drive by in peace.

I used to come to this Campos a lot with my co-worker on our lunch break. They have great enchilada sauce. mmm. but sometimes their enchiladas had cheese that wasn’t melted yet. totally rushed! The beans are sometimes kind of dry… not a big fan of that. The macho burrito is pretty good, as well as their taquitos. The salsas they make are good. Their aguas frescas are literally that. FRESH. The staff is super friendly and remember me when I come. It’s a good spot for lunch. It’s pretty cheap, and they have some good specials.

This location strikes me as «glitzy». I know, pretty stupid description. I guess it’s the neon lit sign and the gleaming glass window. Its just peculiar. Oh well. I’m not there to eat an inert noble gas. I’m just there to produce some. :) The food could definitely use a little work. I’ve had a couple burritos and, had it not been for me putting on lemon and tapatio and salsa, I probably would have not eaten it all… just kidding. I would’ve just not enjoyed it to the«–th» degree. They do stuff the $hit out of those burritos though. I was prepared to give them a 3-star rating because the food is reasonably priced, the location is around the corner and it’s pretty clean in there. But, they have a self serve salsa bar. And if you’ve read my other reviews, self serve bars of any sort(condiments, salsas, bloddy mary) pretty much affords the establishment an obligatory extra star from me. Oh, and they take my debit card. Otherwise, i’d save myself a couple cents and pick up food from the Taco Truck in front of my house. I’ll be coming back here.
