This was my first time coming here. I ordered the Beef Kabob full. It was good I enjoyed my plate. But my server sucked. She was The host & my waitress. She didn’t ask me once if I would like a refill I had to ask her both times. She’s a nice girl but she shouldn’t be working as a server.

Came to LA with a blank slate and found this place. The food is amazing. Ground Beef Kabob has so much flavor, along with the white rice and lemon wedges. Even the basic pita bread they give you to begin with is amazing… but that’s where it ends. The service is non existent. We never got asked for refills unless we asked and there were only two other tables aside from us. I’m not knocking the restaurant, COMETRYIT. But the waitress needs more training. Or maybe honestly just common sense.

Great little spot. Meats with roasted tomato and fresh onion are a great combination… Of course, Greek staples of pita bread and hummus available as well. Round of applause for California Kabob Kitchen!!!

Super delicious! Chicken kabob was cooked to perfection. My brother got the ghormeh sabzi, his girlfriend got the barg– both were divine!!! Highly recommend! Just be ready to look for parking

This place was ok! The presentation was wonderful, it was just lacking in that wow factor! Looked a lot better then it turned out to be! If I could give any advice it’d be start making frozen lemonade, a good garlic butter and heat the bread better, maybe even toast it!

Two Thumbs Up to California Kabob!!! It’s our boss’s birthday and we wanted to surprise her with a hearty lunch that we know she’d enjoy, Rafi’s is a bit far from us for an hour lunch break so it was California Kabob Kitchen to the rescue! After scrolling a bit and reading a few reviews on Unilocal,I decided to place my order through the Eat24 link which was conveniently integrated in the app, tapped on the Party menu tab and placed an order for Party of 10(2) $ 149+tax & tip, this package was perfect! It has Beef Koobideh kabob, chicken kabob, chicken koobideh kabob, 2 choice of appetizers, rice and soda(for the rice, I HIGHLY recommend the Adash! OMG! So yummy! We ordered an extra Shirazi salad, Eggplant and hummus with our party tray as requested by my officemates — deeelicious! My boss really enjoyed and gave California Kabob her thumbs up and even compared it to one of her favorite Persian restaurant, the food was really fantastic, delivered promptly and stayed nice and hot! They definitely impressed us with the quality of food, quick delivery service and a wonderful customer service experience when I followed up over the phone to give specific delivery instruction. Delicious, Quick and convenient via the Unilocal App — EAT24! Definitely in consideration for our next office party. Thank you CKK!!!

Needed a place to hang before catching a show at The Mayan and this place came up with good reviews. It is indeed right around the corner from The Mayan, and I was amazed at how nice it was when I walked in! Like, cloth napkins and stuff. I was expecting it to be way more casual, so that was a nice surprise. There were only a couple of people in there at the time but as the evening wore on it got quite full, and not just with the Mayan crowd, it looks like. Since I wasn’t very hungry at all I just ordered small hummus and eggplant appetizers(came with pita bread, of course) and an iced tea. The hummus was just OK, but the eggplant thing was really delicious. The waitress was really nice and was on it with the drink and pita bread refills. From what I could see of other people’s orders everything else looked pretty good. The next time I need a bite before The Mayan I’m definitely coming back. STEPHJUDGEMENT: Clean, well-run establishment convenient to the Mayan.

Solid 3 ½ stars for California Kabob Kitchen. The owner and the girl at the register were very nice and helpful. Since I work around the corner from here I wanted to try this place out. I ordered the chicken kabob lunch which was about $ 8 and a small side of small hummus for about $ 4. The kabob was very tasty and lemony but wasn’t as much chicken as I originally thought, there was more of the rice for a filler. The plate also came with onions, charred tomato and a charred jalapeño and a large pita bread. There really isn’t a way to mess up Medi food, it was grilled and good but I also didn’t realize that they had a chicken breast kabob which I probably would have enjoyed more. The hummus was also good, a good size for a small that came with 3 large pita breads.

I’m sorry, but I’m livid. I order from this place all the time so you would think they have gotten the hang of my fairly routine orders. I ordered delivery like usual especially because I’m sick and I wanted warm food while cleaning my place. My food was an hour late. I looove, I mean love onions with my kabobs. I feel like onions make the bite. Last 2 orders– they included NOONIONS. Now, sick, with cold food, I’m walking to Ralph’s go buy onions that I can cut up and eat with my microwaved food. Wtf. Not happy.

Food is good… but I had the worst delivery experience from this place. I ordered delivery through the Unilocal app, driver asked me to come down to get my food(this isn’t Ubereats!), but I found out I got someone else’s order so I went back down to meet the driver. At this point, I was beyond hangry and ripped open my food only to find out that they got my order wrong. AWESOME.

This place does the trick. For the combo plates, they give you a TON of food which is standard for Mediterranean places, but not as much variety as I would like(you have to pay an extra 2 bucks for a salad) We asked for a half order of salad and rice, but instead they just added a salad to our dish, which was a tad frustrating. Still not a bad place if you want to go somewhere decent before a show at the mayan.

Wow, will keep coming back for more. Chicken dishes here are delish and service is fast. My only knock against them is the tiny space. Would love to bring friends and family here but I guess we will be resorting to a take out because of lack of space.

Absolutely wonderful service, food and extremely fair price for downtown LA. I had the lamb chops and my friend had the ground beef kebab(Kofta for those who know of such things). Each order came with a generous amount of seasoned jasmine rice, a grilled tomato and incredible flavor. We also ordered a small hummus appetizer and were impressed with its size and subtle, wonderful, no too lemony taste. I plan on making a trip there next time I am in LA, definitely worth a trip next time you are downtown near Staples Center or any of the surrounding area.

I don’t think I have an addictive personality, but I did order from this place two nights in a row. After a long day of work and school I want things to be easy. I can order through the Unilocal app and have it delivered to my loft. Both times delivery was super fast, 20 – 25 minutes. I get the chicken combo and asked for extra onions which they gave me. The pita bread is thin which I love so I don’t get too full from it. The rice is legit!!! My favorite part is that they send you that red seasoning so you can sprinkle it on your rice. My mouth is watering from just writing this review. The chicken was juicy, the hummus was pretty good too. So happy they’re downtown and deliver, thank you!

This place is delicious! The space is simple, modern, and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful; very attentive. And now the food, oh boy, the food is amazing. I got my usual chicken kabob and small hummus to start… the chicken was moist, juicy and seasoned just right. The hummus rich in taste and creamy in texture. Pita bread was good, thinner than most, but fresh and soft. Also, I got the garden salad. A lot of mediterranean restaurants tend to drown their salads in dressing, but this was perfect! Lettuce was crisp, not soggy, and overall really refreshing! Nothing like leaving a place full yet not feeling heavy! Def will be coming back!

The service was incredible! That was the only thing that stood out during our visit. The food was mediocre. I tried the lamb chops kabob, the keboodeh combo, and the lamb shank. The chicken keboodeh was my favorite out of everything we ate. It was perfectly spiced and cooked. The man who served us brought a free appetizer and salad, which was really sweet!

Great Mediterranean food at a great price. I always get the chicken Kabob platter with the eggplant appetizer special they have, not quite sure what it’s called but it is amazing! It’s such a bummer when they sell out. Not quite sure if there is a difference between the lunch special and dinner special(a couple bucks more) but I didn’t notice a difference when i ordered between the two. Delivery is free and it’s definitely worth checking out! Service is great, quick, & friendly. Little gem in the downtown area.
