I thought Café Primo was really good, a bit on the pricy side but it’s so conveniently located in downtown that the high price is expected. It’s really nice to do work inside although they don’t have wifi(they give you a wifi password on your receipt but it doesn’t work) and my cell couldn’t get service in there. I would give 4 stars but the service is quite bad. Cashier is aloof and unhelpful if you ask a question. Other staff are always slamming dishes around behind the counter like they are mad or something. Their jar juices look super cute but aren’t as good as it looks and is over priced.

So we brought my friend to this bar for his birthday … He got to the point where he was buzzed. And walked into the restroom when owner followed him in to kick him out??? Owners of the bar should know they are serving people to get buzzed or drunk. Do not put or hands on customers to throw them out after a few drinks. I do not agree with whateve went on. Do my follow your customers into the restroom to aggressively kick him out! Let him to do his business!!! Stupid management ! Doesn’t know how to run a BAR

I ordered the french dip from this place. The amount of meat they put in the french dip was very little, I’ve uploaded a picture of it. The sandwich tasted pretty average. Since this is a french dip, it came with dip which was barely warm. This meant that when I dipped my sandwich in it, it took a while before the sandwich became moist enough to be enjoyable.(This is how you eat a french dip). Overall, I can say that there are much much better sandwich places nearby than this place.(Sandwich Shop & Tender Greens to name a few nearby)

I really like this place. The coffee and food were surprisingly delicious. It’s convenient for DTLA residents and people who work down there, even great for a quick lunch meeting. We say in the back and there was a small gnat invasion so that made us leave a little earlier than planned(point taken away). Another half point for parking but that’s if you are driving there(nit recommended). Other than that, Café Primmo gets a thumbs up for menu variety and tasty food.

I keep trying to like this place but it’s becoming so difficult. I try to come here because it’s convenient and if they could get the order correct it would actually taste good. The problem is they always get my order wrong and the food is never consistent. One day is great and the next they are literally making my order 3 times. Today I ordered a simple eggs benedict with no tomatoes and avocado on the side. The first time they left out the ham, the second time it was salmon instead and the third time they added tomato and gave me an egg yolk with no egg. The best employee there is their bus boy Mike who is always nice and accommodating. If he was running the place things would probably run a lot smoother. The managers name is Katia and she is always very rude.

Since I work near the area, I often had breakfast and lunch here for more than a year. For a simple deli style café buried inside a business building, this is quite a decent little place. I really like their sandwiches and asian style lunch specials.

Best beet salad ever! Was that mint in the dressing? The night we visited, there was a trainee at the till who needed a lot of help. I wasn’t thrilled about the service in general, but the food was great. Rich and tasty quinoa salad.

I had to update my previous review. I ordered a chicken mushroom sandwich the last time I was in there. I found a short dark hair in the middle of it. I threw it away and haven’t even back since. Yuck

I work in the State Building on Wilshire and Vermont. I like the Café Primo because it is within walking distance, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality is good. I have been to Café Primo on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. A hamburger, grilled to your liking, French fries, and a soda, is under $ 6.00. The best part is tip is not required but appreciated. The portion is more than adequate for a single person. On days I don’t feel packing food from home, having a Café Primo burger fills the stomach.

I had the bacon and four cheese omelette for breakfast with a side of fruit. The omelette was was over cooked and dry and the melon was not ripe and unfortunately crunchy. I wouldn’t risk eating there again when there are better eateries in the city.

I loved the café primo they had in Glendale which closed down. So i thought i should try the one in downtown during my lunch. The food is okay, i liked the panni sandwich i got one time i visited. The service was good/okay, they were a little busy during the time i went which is normal. However, the other time i ordered a bowl of soup to go and once i was about to eat it i noticed short curly black hair in my SOUP!!! which i totally got grossed out from and will never want to eat in here again.

Reiew for the latte and the atmosphere. I can’t write about anything else because I came here ONLY for a cup of coffee and conversation with a good friend. My mocha latte was absolutely delicious.

this place is super convenient, food is OK, but service is seriously the worst. every time i go and order here… it takes them FOREVER to get my meal. i don’t understand how they continually hire SUCHSLOWPEOPLE. this is downtown, people are busy. need to teach their cashiers a sense of urgency. don’t come if you are in a hurry at all. even things that should take 1 minute(like a pre-made sandwich) will take you at least 10.

This place is the closest restaurant to where I work. To be frank, I use the word«restaurant» pretty loosely in this review. Café Primo feels more like a cafeteria than it does a café or restaurant. Their food is A-OK. Depending on who makes it and how busy they are, a single item on the menu can vary in taste. Overall, their rating wavers from 2 – 3 stars, but they have a few decent items on their menu at a pretty cheap price. Plus, the lady who owns the place and the cook in the back are really nice and hardworking, so I feel they deserve at least a star. Ya know? Lunch 1. Bibimbap: My go-to food choice– most consistent item on the menu. 2. Spicy Plate 3. Ramyun 4. Cobb Salad: For when I’m trying to be «healthy.» But oddly enough, this makes me feel about as healthy as I would eating a Spicy Plate. 5. Chicken Quesadilla: Minimal cheese, greasy, but grilled veggies are pretty good. Breakfast 1. Eggs any style: You can’t go wrong with eggs. You just cook ‘em. 2. Bagel Sandwich: Pretty Good 3. Bagel and Cream Cheese: Basic Avoid 1. Bay Shrimp Salad: to be safe, I would avoid anything with shrimp on the menu. I try to bring food from home, but on days when I don’t pack and am being really lazy– I just waddle over to this place, eat, and go to work. Like an android. Hooray. This is not a place I would go to if I didn’t work so darn close. Cash only for purchases under $ 5.

This place is AWESOME!!! The atmosphere is chill and the service was AMAZING! If you are looking for a wide menu selection that is packed full of healthy items, from breakfast, to delicious paninis and sandwiches, to more filling pizza’s and pasta’s, this is the place to go! I have been in in LA on business for almost 2 weeks so far, and haven’t found a place that offers the good nutritious food that I’m used to eating! Finally I know that when I eat here Im putting good food in my body! :-) :-) :-)
