I have nothing but *AMAZING* things to say about Noël at BYOD computers. My 2010 Macbook was having problems — slow and sometimes non-​responsive trackpad, date and time going back to some wacky time in 2008, and battery draining incredibly fast and then barely charging at all — and I chose to completely ignore them until the week before my last ever final (which is 50% of my grade, btw) when my computer would turn on but refuse to charge when it was plugged in.
I scoured Unilocal for several computer repair shops in various neighborhoods which I frequent (Culver City, Chatsworth, Granada Hills, Mid-​city, Downtown LA) and messaged several businesses with questions about how much it would cost to fix and how soon the fix could be completed. Several businesses got back to me — and all the quotes were relatively the same (about a $ 20 difference at the highest point) — however many businesses would have to order the part (one place quoted me an 8 – 9 day turnaround — something I just could not afford!) Noël was the only one who had the part in stock and quoted me an awesome turn around time of «15−20 minutes»
I took my computer to Noël this weekend and as his building elevators are secure on weekends he came down to get me and another kid who was having computer problems also during a really stressful finals week. Noël was personable and friendly and I greatly appreciate how he took the time to simplify and explain the problem my computer was having to me.
Noël showed me the new battery and how it was supposed to look. After he removed my battery he showed me both side by side and I could visibly see the difference in my warped battery. Noël also showed me how many «cycles» my computer had been through — over 500 — and told me that somewhere in the 300 – 400 range was normal before batteries started to have problems. He explained that all the time/​date problems and trackpad problems were due to the battery pressing up and expanding.
All the work was done right in front of my eyes and sure enough within 20 minutes I had a brand new working computer. He explained to me to let it fully cycle one or two times so that the new battery would begin to kickstart itself.
I really appreciate his fast and friendly service and appreciate that he gave me a 6 month warranty on the new battery and told me to let him know if I have any problems at all. I also like that my receipt was texted to me — cutting down on the tons of paperwork I have in the trunk of my car.
Now…unfortunately…time to start this final paper!

*I had my laptop repaired a couple months ago.
I kept getting the BSoD (blue screen of death) and it was soo annoying. I went here to get a quote and it was pretty good because I didn’t have a back up file. In no time my laptop was fixed and I’ve had no issue thus far. All my files were there and the experience was quick. Highly recommended it.

I am a student of USC and had a broken macbook pro. Noël was super helpful and fix my screen for much less time than apple store. So he was the first to go to when I dropped my phone in the water. I can not believe that he was able to RECOVER DATA and photo are on phone. SUPER QUICK, SUPER HELPFUL.

Service is amazing. He is patient and helpful, focusing on you and your computer issue. I would recommend him to anyone. Hopefully, I will never need his services again, but if I did, I would contact him immediately.

Had a couple of keys on my MacBookPro that weren’t working. My whole keyboard had to be replaced. He did it while I waited within a couple hours. Price was good (better than Apple Store). Nice that there are some people out there who still give a damn about customer service.

I’m a student at USC and I came in to fix my macbook pro retina screen which was cracked in the corner. I had looked at various highly rates places on Unilocal in the area and chose to go with Noël because he offered the best price, and the quickest time. He also replied to my Unilocal messages quickest and ordered the part as soon as I said I would come, so it arrived promptly.
I was very pleased with the service!
Noël helped me as soon as I came in. It took about 1.5 hours to complete, so I sat and waited while he worked. He was polite, quick and thorough, and gave my laptop a quick complementary clean. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back (though I hope I don’t have to ;) No more cracked screens for me).

Noël is incredibly incisive and helpful. My laptop malfunctioned because of an unauthorized Windows update, and my computer manufacturer wanted me to ship it to them for repairs (replace motherboard, etc). Noël was sympathetic to the fact that I simply cannot do without my laptop for a whole week in the middle of the semester, and he installed all the necessary software updates in an hour! The price was affordable and the service was excellent!

Noël is the actual man. He’s the guy. He hooks everything up cheap as hell and turns around WITHIN THE DAY, if possible.
Dude is an expert, works fast, very thorough, and chooses not to gouge on prices. Super fair and super professional.
I needed a new hard drive, HD cable, and my data recovered, and he had it done in a jiff on the cheap and my computer is running better than ever.

I dropped my laptop 2 days before an important exam. A friend suggested Noël’s BYOD Computer Services. Noël was a big help. He navigated me on the phone to his office building. My laptop’s hard-​disk was damaged. Noël was able to recover most of the data, install a new hard-​disk and reinstalled a new Windows 10. He even installed a 1 TB hard-​disk even though my earlier was 500 GB for no extra cost.
Noël is very popular among USC and UCLA students. Highly recommended for any mobile/​computer repairs!!!

Every time my computer has a problem I cannot fix on my own he can always figured it out. His prices are reasonable and timing is quick (unlike when I took my laptop into the Microsoft store and they said it would have to hold it for 3 weeks for $ 120 just to take a look at it.)

My laptop just one day decided not to turn on anymore. I was looking for someone close by who could figure out what was wrong and fix it quickly. I found BYOD and within 5 minutes Noël was able to fix my computer and get it to turn on again.
I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to Noël for any other computer or tablet problems I hopefully don’t have in the future.

After the hard drive on my MacBook Pro crashed, I frantically searched for data recovery service that wouldn’t charge me an arm and a leg.
I’m SO GLAD I found BYOD Computer Services. Noël quoted me $ 149, but said it would be free if he wasn’t able to recover any data.
Within a few hours of leaving my laptop, I got a call from Noël saying that he was able to recover everything. How incredible!
