Brown Brothers is the best auto body shop I have ever dealt with!!!
I was side swiped on the 405 freeway and I went through my insurance. The original shop they gave me would not take my car in. I called several and the same outcome. I then decided to try to find a shop near my job. As my accident was on December 14, 2015, there were not many shops open during this holiday season or were booked up until mid January. Although they were full, they still took my car in. The whole experience I had with them was excellent! Brown Bros made my car look like new!
The staff was great and Sean is the nicest guy and they go above and beyond. After they fixed my car they saw that my side mirror was cracked (not related to the accident), and they fixed it for me free of charge. I am very pleased with the car repairs and my whole experience with Brown Brothers was the best I have ever had!!.
I would 100% totally recommend this shop to anyone! They gave me excellent customer service as well as the excellent repair on my car! I love Brown Brothers and any auto body needs in the future I am definitely using Brown Brothers!

So, I generally never leave reviews, but I feel like this is a case where it would be irresponsible for me not to.
I took my car into Brown Bros. Auto Body after a recommendation from a friend. I needed some minor (but expensive) cosmetic work done after getting side swiped. My first issue (admittedly minor compared to what happens next) is that it the work took doubly as long as they estimated (3 weeks, instead of 1.5) and I had to keep calling back for updates when I repeatedly asked them to keep me updated.
I finally picked my car up and the repair work looked fine. Here is where this gets crazy. I drove to my gym (maybe 10 minutes away from Brown Brothers) and parked my car in the lot and went upstairs to change in the locker room. When I came out, the security guard was at the front desk explaining that a fire had started under one of the cars in the lot. When I asked him about the make and model (I had a bad feeling this had something to do with me), he confirmed and I immediately started freaking out.
I went outside to see my car engulfed in FLAMES. I couldn’t believe it… Bystanders helped me call the fire department and they came and extinguished the flames after cutting an enormous part of my hood out. It was a thoroughly traumatic experience and I’m glad no one got hurt…
After a couple weeks, my insurance confirmed that my car was totaled and reimbursed me for the value and I was eventually able to purchase another car. A report from a third party investigator stated that Brown Brothers had failed to connect my power steering hose before they returned my car to me, which in turn allowed power steering fluid (a very flammable fluid) to be sprayed all over the engine. They believe this was how the fire started, first beneath my car, then spreading throughout the entire engine. In addition, they found some TOOLS that Brown Brothers had left in the engine, which no doubt speaks to extreme negligence on their part.
Overall, I realize that my experience with Brown Brothers was not representative of most people’s, but it should be known that their unprofessionalism and incompetence led to huge financial costs for me personally and not once was responsibility taken or sorrow admitted on their part. I hope people take this as a cautionary tale to be really sure that the auto body shop you take your car to is thorough in their professionalism and attention to detail.
The chances of something like this happening to you is probably small, but you want to minimize it nonetheless, and avoiding Brown Brothers is a good way to start.

Returned to Brown Bros approx. 2 years after my last review. Our Lexus and Jaguar had a number of dents and scratches which I wanted repaired.
I met with Steve) and agreed the work required. My wife’s 8 year old Lexus was booked in 1^st and it was completed on schedule and exactly to the spec discussed (however the final cost was less than the quote provided at outset… this was a 1^st for me and a very welcome surprise… also reinforced my belief this is an extraordinary company to work with)
My new Jaguar is only 1 year old and had several blemishes but when it was done it looked like it did the day I drove it out of the dealership… superb repair and paintwork
Everyone at this business works hard to ensure you leave a happy customer. I dealt with Steve, Sean and Morai and all 3 were exceptional
My review and judgment are based on quality of service and value for money… In my opinion I received 5 star service and 5 star value for money (wish I could award this business 10 stars as they deserve it)…have already referred 2 friends to Steve for similar work needed to their cars

The Brown Bros auto body and paint shop went above and beyond to make my experience with them a smooth and an easy process. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming!
The Brown Bros helped me save money, made my car look beautiful and took away all the stress my car was giving me! My neighbor accidently hit the back of my car while it was parked. We went through his insurance and I was given a quote by another shop in Los Angeles. The shop I originally brought my car to, told me I needed to give them $ 600 out of pocket to fix the damage that was caused by my neighbor. They said this was because I had damage on another area of the car that affected their repairs. I’m not an auto expert, but I am smart enough to recognize when something doesn’t sound right and I’m being taken advantage of.
I spoke with Vlad, who put me in touch with Sean. Sean and I spoke on the phone for a while and I then sent him some pictures of what the first auto shop was telling me a HAD to fix. He gave me some advice and I immediately pulled my car out of the first shop and brought it over to the Brown Bros. When I arrived, Steve and I discussed what had happened at the first shop and we decided that what they were demanding didn’t make much sense to do to my 11-​year-​old car. I ended up collecting the money from the accident and putting it towards my car. They had the freedom to work on «what was needed.» They fixed the area that was affected by the accident in a way that was a little more cost effective, but still looks seamless and then used the remaining to fix other areas of the car. When I came back to pick up my car, I was shocked. My car looks better now than it did six years ago! They fixed both bumpers (my front bumper was in worse shape than the back) and took care of some other details around the car. I am so pleased with the car repairs and how they handled the entire situation. Steve mentioned to me that he saw how stressed I was and wanted to make this an easy process for me, that he did!
I would 100% recommend this shop to anyone. This was the best customer care that I have ever received from an establishment.

Brown Brothers is hands-​down the best body shop I’ve ever been to. It was recommended to me by a BMW mechanic whose advice I implicitly trust. I was in a fender-​bender with my 2001 BMW 325Ci and my insurance company suggested another shop that I was wary about because of multiple bad reviews (remember, in California, you have the right to get your car repaired anywhere you choose, not just the place your insurance company suggests). I am extremely picky when it comes to quality of work and customer service, and Sean and Steve delivered on both. They are respectful, professional, and very detail-​oriented. They are true enthusiasts, and you can tell by their parking lot that others trust them with their luxury cars, whose makes include BMW, Audi, Mercedes-​Benz, and Maserati. Their work was superb, and they went above and beyond to make my car look even better than it did before my accident. Nobody ever wants to get in a wreck, but if you do, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I was rear ended in my Audi Q5 twice in a 3 month period and both repairs were done by Brown Brothers. They did an absolutely beautiful job both times. The car looked as nice as when I bought it and all of the electrical components (back up camera, parking sensors, etc) worked perfectly. Sean and Steve were incredibly accommodating to my schedule and were very responsive throughout the process. While I hope I don’t need to go into an auto body shop again anytime soon, I would recommend these guys highly to anyone I know.

Recently, I valeted my old Mercedes at a meeting and came back to find that the center console armrest was broken (the lid would pop up while driving).
Mercedes was not much help since the correct part is no longer manufactured. I ended up buying a newer version of the armrest lid, but could not figure out how to install it.
I dropped by Brown Bros. for help and Sean was able to quickly swap out the latch mechanism from the new part into my existing console. The car is now as good as new and Sean’s solution was ingenious. He was amazingly friendly and helpful considering it was a busy Saturday afternoon at Brown Bros. Highly recommended.

not only did they lie to the rental company about when my car was ready, they got a parking ticket on my car and threw it away. I just received a delinquent parking notice in the mail for the tune of $ 127.00.
Crooks and liars. I will let you know when when they pay it, which they will have to…

These guys are incredible.(Thanks Steve!) I didn’t even know where to begin after getting into a car accident. They were patient, helpful, professional and walked me through every step of the process from start to finish. And then, when I ran into a slight problem after the repairs were done, they took the car in and fixed it that same day making sure not to disrupt my work schedule! It’s not every day you come by an Auto Body shop who not only cares about the car, but the person bringing it in as well. I will most definitely be a customer for life.

I took my car to Brown Brothers in May to fix a hit and run on my car bumper. They were one of the preferred providers for my insurance company and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service they provided. Communication with the service managers was clear and straightforward. They completed work on my car ahead of schedule and seamlessly handled all of the insurance paperwork. They earned my business for the future, even though I hope I don’t have to use them again anytime soon.

I had 2 accidents, and I took my car to Brown Brothers they did a amazing job. They are very professional super nice and caring about their customers. Just go there you will not regret.

The true test of how good a place is goes beyond how perfect a job they can do, and is more about how they handle themselves if there is a problem — the owners Steve and Sean of Brown Brothers did a great job of keeping my business and wanting me to write a review on their behalf.
I’ve used this place a few times over the years for my car’s body-​work, but when I returned this time it was under new ownership, from two very friendly, helpful brothers who helped explain everything along the way and even arranged the car rental place to pick me up to go get my rental. When the car was going to take a few extra days to be ready and I told them that insurance wouldn’t pay for those last few days to have my car rental, Sean immediately offered to take care of it, keep the rental and he’d make sure to cover the cost. Sure enough, when the car was ready, it looked great, the dents and scratches were removed as promised, and he even told me to leave my car rental with him and he’d have it picked up and returned for me, another great service.
But here is where it became interesting and could have become a disaster (but didn’t). As I was driving away an engine light came on and I irritatingly took it straight to my mechanic where it had to stay for another WEEK and cost me hundreds more dollars to replace the coils which somehow had been flooded, we still have no idea how. Then as we were picking up the car from the mechanic, something else went wrong, none of it made sense, but knowing it was all fine before the body-​work, I called Sean and told him, he immediately remembered me, and politely asked me to bring in the car so they could look at it and «take care of it».
I brought it by, he didn’t get defensive, didn’t argue, didn’t try to assign or remove fault of how these weird problems could have happened, he told me that they’d figure out the cause, fix it, and also do something to help with our other bill from the mechanic. No questions, no argument, just sweet and polite and helpful.
Sure enough this morning they called me, the car was ready, they’d completely taken care of the problems, AND they offered to fully pay for what we’d paid for at the mechanic which may or may not have been their fault.
The point is, it didn’t matter if it was their fault somehow, mistakes happen, what matters is that they took charge and offered to take care of everything, they made good on their word, they were polite and kind throughout, and I’d much sooner go to a place that I can TRUST like this, so even if a mistake happens I know they’ll take care of me, than a place that will probably try to just say «it’s not my fault» like most businesses out there.
Happy to return if I have need in the future, and happy to recommend this business and these brothers to others.

After decades of driving and needing repairs to all types of high end cars, I have learned what a great auto body repair facility is. Brown Brothers is one of the very best. I was referred to them by my independent BMW service shop with a very high recommendation. The business is actually run by brothers (not named Brown) who are way ahead in customer service, communication, work quality and attention to detail including custom work not to mention going «the extra mile» in dealing with auto insurance carriers on your behalf. On top of that, when I recently picked my BMW M3 there was a technician attending to some detailing cleanup on parts of the car that had not been a part of my claim. He just wanted the car to look its best. I am a «car guy» who has found the only body and paint shop that I will ever need. Thanks guys.

Such a great group of people with their heart in what they do. Extremely professional and caring. I cam in for a minor scrape and they treated me like a friend he whole time. If there is anything I ever need done I will be going to them!

I recently took my A4 in for a detail. As always, the office was very nice and responsive to what I was looking for. They definately know how to work on european cars unlike many shops who claim they do. Thanks for helping out Steve. Will bring my other car soon

I found this place through State Farm’s Select program after getting into an accident. After looking through the Unilocal reviews I decided to take my car here. They handled the whole process for me (as well as calling a rental car company and arranging for them to pick me up) and gave me a detailed break down of the repairs and fee and what I would pay (my deductible) vs what State Farm would pay. The whole staff was incredible professional, friendly, honest and welcoming. My car honestly looks better now than it did even before the accident. The only critique I have is that there was an unforeseen delay in their workflow which caused my car to be ready a few days after the initial promised date. However, they were so apologetic and explained why there was a delay so I couldn’t really be upset, especially given how awesome my car looked after all the work they did to it. They also washed and detailed it and my fiancé remarked that it looked like I was driving it off a dealership. It definitely had that «brand new» look to it after they were through with it.
Another perk was that my case was handled directly by the Brown Brothers themselves and every time I called or went in, I spoke directly to one of them. And when I drove my car off, both brothers were there to thank me for my business and to apologize again for the delay and to thank me for my patience.
I would definitely recommend them! Plus they gave me a lifetime guarantee on the repair.

I sent my boyfriend here after his car mirror was knocked off in a hit and run. His new mirror needed to be painted and installed. The dealership wanted to charge over $ 400 for this, after calling around to some shops in our area we decided to go with Brown Brothers for their price and hospitality.
Steve, Shawn and Stephanie made us feel like we had been clients of theirs for years. The service we received was fantastic. It was done right the first time, it was quick and it saved us a ton of money.
If I ever need body or paint work done on my car or his ever again I will absolutely go back to Brown Brothers.
