Simply put, Dr. Perri is fantastic.
This was my first experience having surgery and I am very glad I had Dr. Perri as a surgeon. I was in excruciating pain and barely able to walk. After seeing a few surgeons and gaining very little insight into my condition, my chiropractor recommended I see Dr. Perri. He was able to see me quickly and after reviewing my MRI was able to identify that I had a herniated disc which had broken off and was pressing against my sciatic nerve. He was able to book me into surgery in about a week and afterwards I felt immediate relief — back to work in about 5 days. In the months since my surgery I have made a full recovery — through physical therapy (he has great recommendations for therapists), yoga, etc I have virtually no back pain and feel stronger than I ever have.
Throughout the whole process Dr. Perri and his staff were all consummate professionals and were always available to answer any questions or concerns I had both pre and post surgery. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Perri and his assistant Nalynn. They are truly one of a kind. My mother had neck and back problems for over 20 years. She developed spinal stenosis, scoliosis, and ataxia a long time ago but refused to have surgery. She lived with the pain and suffered for many years never letting anyone know how bad it really was. Late last year she couldn’t ignore it anymore. She could barely walk on her own without assistance and had lost all feeling in her hands, fingers, and feet. She was in horrific pain and the chiropractor, physical therapist, and epidurals weren’t helping anymore. She decided to go to the doctor and was diagnosed with Myelomalacia (softening of the spine) last December. She was told she needed surgery but she wanted to wait until after the holidays and her doctor said that was fine. We had already had opinions from two different doctors before we found Dr. Perri. We almost didn’t go for the third opinion but I’m so grateful we did. I believe Dr. Perri saved my mothers life. The other doctors we saw said her condition was serious but none of them expressed how important it was to operate immediately. One of them even said she could wait another couple months. From the moment Dr. Perri started talking to us we knew we had found the right doctor! He explained that her spine was bruised and there was so much compression that it was literally being crushed. He said she needed surgery immediately, that if she didn’t she could become paralyzed or die at any moment from respiratory paralysis. We couldn’t believe how nonchalant these other doctors were and Dr. Perri couldn’t believe that no doctor had told her how bad it was getting after having many MRIs over the years. The damage didn’t just happen overnight. I thank God that we found Dr. Perri that day. He explained everything to us and we left having the upmost confidence in him. He is not like most doctors, he is extremely compassionate and really knows what he is talking about. We wouldn’t trust anyone else. That was Jan. 8^th and he operated on Jan. 12^th. I am ecstatic to say my mother is doing well. Better than expected. She immediately regained feeling in her hands and feet, can walk on her own, and is able to do things she hasn’t been able to do in years. It’s been a little over two months now and she’s getting better every day. On our first checkup my mother cried, hugged, and thanked Dr. Perri. She said he changed her life. She still has a long road of recovery ahead but without Dr. Perri she may not of had a chance at all. I have to say that Dr Perri and Nalynn are amazing and we’ve never been treated so well. Whenever we’ve had a question or concern we got a response from him or her almost immediately. If you want an exceptional surgeon look no further, I promise you that you have found him. Thank you Dr. Perri for saving my mothers life. We are forever grateful.

Dr. Perri was a God-​send for me.
I have been dealing with an L4-​L5 herniation issue for at least 12 years. It first became critical around 8 years ago. Chiropractics, acupuncture, physical therapy, and sports massage all helped to a point. But the pain was becoming increasingly demoralizing and my mobility was becoming hampered. I saw world-​class surgeons at UCSF, and they concluded that I was not a strong candidate for surgery. They suggested that new techniques were around the corner if I could hold on for a few years.
In November I had an incident that led to unbearable pain and extreme restriction on my mobility. I tried a number of therapeutic modalities for a couple of weeks, but finally my chiropractor told me that I needed a surgical consult.
I called a number of surgeons at UCLA and USC, but I could not get a consult until February due to the impending holidays. My chiropractor called Dr. Perri’s office, and they got me in the next week! When Dr. Perri looked at my MRI, he told me that he was clearing time in his schedule the following week (one week before Christmas!) to perform surgery. I really don’t know how I possibly could have made it until February just for a consult.
Dr. Perri is extremely friendly and easy to talk with. He made it clear to me that my condition was such that surgery was the only option: he said that if there were even a 5% chance of resolving the condition without surgery that he would defer to my decision to not do the surgery if that is what I wanted. After showing me the MRI and X-​Rays and explaining the severity of the problem, it took me all of 2 seconds to agree to do the surgery.
I am now 3 months out from surgery, and I am about 90% recovered, which is quite normal for the kind of complications I had to have addressed. Getting my follow-​up appointments was very easy, and Dr. Perri has been thorough in explaining how the healing process is taking place and the bumps in the road I should expect.
Dr. Perri’s staff is first rate. From dealing with all the logistics at the consult to explaining all post-​op issues to being available through phone and email, they have made the whole experience low-​maintenance so I can concentrate on the most important matter at hand — getting fully healthy again.

Dr. Brian Perri is very professional. I was in the worst spot. I’m an athlete and weigh 280 currently at 6’5″. I was in excruciating pain before I saw Dr. Perri. He discovered that I had a condition called spondylolisthesis, a herniated disc an a broken vertebrae. After he discovered all of these different problems we scheduled for surgery immediately. I had my surgery in Jan. 2016 and it’s now Feb 2016 and I’m feeling much better. I can’t do any heavy lifting but I’m not in pain at all. I sleep well and can sit and walk for as long as I want.
Dr. Perri’s staff was also very professional. Nalynn and Katherine responded to my phone calls and emails quickly regarding my pain, scheduling and surgery. I would definitely recommend this office to friends and family.

Dr. Perri has been a huge source of relief for me in diagnosing and treating my herniated disc. His genuine concern for how well I was healing and follow up is amazing. If I could give Dr. Perri and his staff 10 stars I would. When I went to his office for the first time, he quickly noticed that I needed to have an emergency miscrodisectomy, or I faced being incontinent for the rest of my life. Even though I had only met him that day, he was so knowledgeable, explained everything, had a great bedside manner, and most importantly, he made me feel at ease and comfortable. After years of suffering from chronic lower back pain, I can happily say that I am virtually pain-​free, and this is 100% thanks to Dr. Perri. At only 30 years old, the thought of having back surgery was a bit daunting, but if there’s anyone who can make you feel comfortable and well-​informed about what you can expect, it’s Dr. Perri. He truly is a world-​class surgeon, with the type of A-​list clientele that will make you wonder how in the world he’s so personable & accessible to the average Joe.
I was referred to Dr. Perri by my chiropractor after months of failed chiropractic treatments and physical therapy. Having a herniated L4/​L5 disc but being rather young of age, Dr. Perri was very cautious and meticulous about making sure we exhausted all courses of treatment before resorting to surgery. He took his time in explaining every option available to me, and truly went out of his way to ensure I felt at ease and knowledgeable about all procedures before making his recommendations. Since I had to fly out to Chicago for a business trip the week after my initial consultation with him, he recommended that I try an outpatient epidural procedure so that I would be alleviated of the pain during my trip. He even made it a point to call in a personal favor to his good friend and colleague, Dr. Nicholas Fuller, to squeeze me in to have the epidural done on the same day as my consultation with Dr. Perri since he knew I had traveled over 4 hours from my home just to see him in his Beverly Hills office. Not only that, but because the procedure was to occur that same day, Dr. Perri’s team and Dr. Fuller’s team worked together to expedite the pre-​authorization process with my insurance company.
Over the course of my trip to Chicago, Dr. Perri and his assistant, Nalynn, were wonderful about following up and staying in contact with me to see how I was doing. Although the relief from the epidural wore off fairly quickly, Nalynn was extremely helpful in getting me back in to see Dr. Perri as soon as possible. In fact, all of my correspondence with Nalynn was always prompt and personal, which was a pleasant surprise since most doctor’s office I have contacted previously are typically very slow about returning calls or emails. So having Nalynn assisting with the logistical aspects of my overall experience with Dr. Perri was truly a remarkable bonus.
When I returned from my trip and re-​visited Dr. Perri, he was very thorough in presenting me with what next steps we could take. Part of what I respect and appreciate most about Dr. Perri is his approachability, never once appearing condescending or pretentious, but rather, having a sincere concern for ensuring I was getting well-​educated about my options and most of all, the best care possible. Since we elected to move forward with my artificial disc replacement surgery, Dr. Perri was very patient in answering all of my questions and making sure I was completely at ease before he proceeded further. Again, especially for being a renown surgeon to some of the biggest celebrities, his friendliness and down-​to-​earth demeanor were much appreciated.
My surgery took place on September 3^rd, and within the first week post-​op, I was already back on my feet and walking. By 8 weeks post-​op, I was near full recovery. It’s now been just shy of 4 months since my surgery, and after twice weekly physical therapy, I am nearly 100% pain free. I am forever grateful to Dr. Perri for not only relieving me of years of chronic back pain, but for making the entire experience as pleasant as possible. When you are seeking medical treatment, it’s rare to find a medical team who are not only experts in their field, but genuinely kind, honest, prompt, and personable, but Dr. Perri and his staff are all of the above, and then some.

In late 2012 I came to Dr. Perri with what turned out to be a severely herniated L4/​L5 disc that needed surgery. After rehab and following everything he has told me to do, I am now pain free and back to my very active lifestyle. He was honest, let me know that the nerve was damaged and might take some time, but to stick with it and eventually I’d be back to where I was. I’ve got to admit, I am better than where I was and stronger, more in shape than I’ve ever been in my life!

Tried to call the office to schedule an appointment three different times with no answer. Calls to the office directory go to a voicemail of a front desk person (I assume) but no one has returned any of my voicemails.

I have been a patient of Dr Perri for a long time to treat for my complicated headaches and numbness/​pain arms related to injuried Spine. Dr Perri is amazing… Always being there and always being very helpful to my medical needs. always get lots of improvements after the visits. Dr Perri is so professional. After a couple of in-​patient consultations for an emergency spinal fusion, Dr. Perri seemed to be the only one who shared my opinion favoring surgery. I’m no expert but, I know my body better than anyone, and Dr. Perri appreciated that. The post-​surgical assessment proved we were right; surgery was inevitable so, needless to say, I’m glad we gave it the immediate green-​light.
18 months later and I can’t imagine what life would be like had I trusted anyone else. Dr. Perri and the entire office staff, specifically AA/​OM Nalynn… you are a superstar… were all fantastic.
Not that you ever want to be in a position where you need to see a spinal surgeon but, if you are, Dr. Perri should be atop your shortlist.

Dr. Perri is an amazing physician. He diagnosed my cervical spine issues after other orthopedic physicians were not able to identify a problem. I underwent a cervical disk replacement in 2014 and fully recovered. Dr. Perri is able to perform procedures that are unheard of by others. I have recommended Dr. Perri to my family and friends who suffer from spine issues.

Dr. Perri hands down provided me with the best experience I have ever had with a doctor. He is incredibly kind, knowledgeable and spends more than ample time with his patients. I could not have been more impressed with him and his staff. I would give 6 stars if I could.

When you come under Beverly Hills Spine Surgery Care, you will likely be treated by a team. Back surgery is complicated, involving not only bone structures, but nerves as well. In my case, it was Dr. Perri (orthopedist) and Dr. Siddique (neurosurgeon). What they accomplished for me would likely have been in the realm of science fiction just a decade ago.
These physicians work in the context of the Beverly Hills Spine Surgery (BHSS) center located near Cedars Sinai on San Vicente Blvd, although in-​patient work is conducted at Cedars Sinair Hospital. In ALL interactions I have had with BHSS medical and administrative staff, I have experienced exceptional courtesy, compassion, and patience. This is an extraordinary organization with a beautiful shared culture. In my estimation, they are a model for the medical community.
Without hesitation, I recommend this organization and its people. I truly believe this is the best there is.
