I called and spoke to Dave about installing my new 60″ 3D tv. I received a quote promptly with a break down on the cost, which was more reasonable than the Geeks at BestBuy. Dave came out and did a wonderful job installing the TV. I highly recommend trying out Blue Dot Works if you want a reasonable cost installing your TV.
Thanks Dave, I’ll be calling you when I’m ready to put those new speakers up.

My car was broken into three weeks back for the THIRD time, so I hired Blue Dot Works to install a surveillance system I purchased from Amazon. I was pretty surprised that Dave from BDW was willing to install a system I did not purchase from his company. I was totally expecting an up sell. Nope, he was so nice, knowledgeable and fearless (he climbed on the roof of my two story home to hide all the cabling) and even gave me a discount because he couldn’t complete the installation in one day (it took two). Alright guy. I have no doubt that if I shoot him an email about any questions or issues I have about my system that he’ll be responsive and helpful.

Dave was great. Friendly, fast and very professional. We had something that needed to be done urgently and he gladly came in on a Sunday to finish the job. Couldn’t have asked for better service

I hired Dave from Blue Dot Works to do my 5.1 home theater installation in my living room.
During the initial consultation, Dave gave several great ideas as to how best to position my furniture for the best acoustics and viewing. Shortly after the consultation, he provided me with a really competitive quote for his services. One of the best things that I learned about Blue Dot Works during my initial communication with Dave was that they dedicate a full day of work for their installations. Some people may not like that you have to pay a little more for this convenience, but there are a couple of main reasons why this is done. The first is that the installers get the proper amount of time to do a clean and professional installation without having to worry about their next appointment or meeting a strict deadline. The second is that the clients get the installers full and undivided attention for the installation. In addition to being fair for both parties involved, these 2 reasons ultimately lead to less/​no mistakes as well as a cleaner overall job due to the job not being rushed. I personally prefer having things done right the first time around to avoid having to do it over again in the future due to some overlooked detail.
For my particular installation, I had 2 surround speakers mounted on the walls behind my seating area and a center speaker mounted above the TV, which is on a TV stand. Dave first checked with me on if I was okay with where he was planning to put all of the speakers, and then he proceeded to do a remarkable job running the wiring from the speakers down through the walls, then through the crawlspace, and then up to the receiver. It was such a clean job that some of my guests thought that they were wireless speakers. I am also constantly getting compliments about how clean of a job the installation was. In addition to the installation, Dave also did some cable management and then tidied up the areas where he worked. Following all of this, he then helped with the initial setup of the receiver.
I am very satisfied with the end result and highly recommend anyone to use the services of Dave and Blue Dot Works if you’re planning to do a home theater installation and want it done right with true professionals.

Dave installed not just one but two 3D TVs on the wall for us. He was also extremely helpful in making some recommendations on our TV set-​up! He did an awesome job! We couldn’t be happier. Dave Minerd was awesome! He was neat, organized, clean, and very efficient. He knew exactly what to do and was very cost conscious which I really appreciated. I highly, highly recommend Dave.

I called them for a quote and spoke with Dave. He gave me suggestions about different options using ceiling mount and articulating mount to install my 60″ LED TV because my entertainment center cut-​out was smaller than the TV. On his suggestion I bought the articulating mount with a long arm, though he did not try to sell it to me at all. The other installers tried to sell me much expensive mounts. He also gave me the quote over the phone.
I bought the mount from Amazon and when he came for installation, he noticed that there were couple of small problems with the mount, which he gladly fixed by doing some creative work and installed few washers at different places which were not provided. He was absolutely professional and courteous and never complained about the missing pieces. He spent a long time, trying to find the studs behind my entertainment center and was very careful not to drill the electric panel on the other side of the wall. He took much longer than anticipated because of these problems, but never complained about it and did a very professional installation and I am absolutely loving the way my TV installed.

The service was absolutely amazing!!! I couldn’t ask for anything more. Dave worked so hard for hours and the work was spotless. Not to mention the low price!! This is as good as it gets!

Wait… you do TV installation too? I’m going to need that in a New York minute! (Moving Monday & Tuesday.)
When we were selling our home in Palo Alto Dave came out and helped us with our internal surveillance system. He was professional and did a great job. He also saved me money. (We had a camera that I thought needed to be replaced. He showed me that another tech — not from Blue Dot — had just thrown a much lower res camera in when we needed one replaced.)
Will call Blue Dot (and Dave) for everything!

I’m a new fan! Called these guys about installing my 60″ plasma TV on the living room wall. Took a chance on them because their price was reasonable compared to other places. I’m really happy I did!
I spoke with Dave on the phone and he was great. I asked him all kinds of (probably dumb) questions and he patiently answered them all. I was concerned about making my wall look gross, but Dave said they would conceal the wires and do a professional clean up. It was super easy to set up an appointment the next day. A guy named Steve came out. He was on time and very courteous, even wore shoe covers. He told me about the proper viewing distance and angle given my TV and living room, and talked me through exactly what he was going to do before he did anything.
I was leery as to whether the mount would hold a big TV, but Steve grabbed the mount and literally hung on to it! That worked for me. He also told me that my devices were using component cables and I’d need HDMI cables to have high-​definition pictures. He had some right there so I was able to take care of that. It made a huge difference. The mount turned out great. All the wires were concealed so it looks really clean. And now I have a beautiful TV on my wall! Feeling like I joined the fancy people :-)
What I liked was that Steve made sure I was completely set up. He programmed my Xfinity remote. He did all the clean up as promised, he wiped my TV clean, wiped the wall and counters, basically left things cleaner than he found them!
Also, he overheard me complaining about an internet issue, and helped me fix it, for free. Turns out they do computer repair as well. Yeaahhh for nice guy service!
Very satisfied. I would definitely recommend these guys!
