Simply the best. They always do a great job and for a very reasonable price ($ 30 manicure/​pedicure). Be sure to make an appointment during busy hours. Only take cash for tips.

I chose this salon, because it is very conveniently located for me. I appreciate the fact that they sterilize the instruments and in general are very clean. Some of the manicurists I prefer over others: I like Sara, May and Loc– had the best experience with them.
Parking is convenient and cheap with validation.

I really needed a manicure for an event I have this weekend so I found this place on Unilocal.So I came here and was pleasantly surprised by how clean everything looked and how friendly everyone was. Ruby did my nails and she did such a great job. Although my nails are super short she still managed to make them look super cute. Now I’ll have to see how long they last me. Fingers crossed!

My «go-​to» nail salon! They’re quick, clean, and my nails always look great! The staff is so friendly and definitely pamper the hell out of you.
Make sure you bring cash because you can only tip with cash!

I was getting my nails done here today, and there was a customer getting her mani and pedi done. After she got her pedi done the man who did her pedi left to work on another customer, she started saying the color on her toes is not the color she wanted and it was gel color that she got on her toes. So the manager came over talk to her, he said he will remove the color and change to a different color that she like, she said «i dont have time and i dont want to pay for this pedi, because its not the color i like.» The manager said he wont charge her for the gel color which is $ 18, but she just has to pay for the pedi which is $ 16. She said no why should i pay for the pedi its not my fault. I was sitting close by her chair, i feel really bad for the owner, first time i have ever seen that kind of customer. She is so rude try to get free pedi. 5 stars for the business hope she wont come back here anymore.

Love Blooming nails. Very nice, clean spa. Every nail technician I’ve had has been on point! I’ve never walked out of there unsatisfied. My only complaint is that there is a credit card fee and you can only tip in cash.

This is the best nail spa on the west side. They’re accommodating when you walk into their Salon. All nail techs are excellent! They have so many nail polish and gel colors to select from. My bestie and I always schedule time to relax and get our nails done here every two weeks!

Just got a gel mani and pedi here! I got glitter gel on my fingers which was an additional charge, but well worth it. The woman who did the gel was so meticulous and careful. Great job. I’ll be back.

Takes 2 hours to do a full set mani and pedi. Never heard of such a thing. Also went to get my eyebrows waxed and the woman poured wax in my hair (on my head), and the GENIUS proceeded to try and remove it with a cotton ball.

I moved to the Brentwood area almost two years ago. Because I had gone to «my salon» in Orange County for the past seven years, it was tough to pull away; but I wanted to find someone closer than the 50-​mile (one-​way) drive to my salon and I wanted to find something that was «comparable» to it, as well.
A colleague told me about Blooming Nails, just last night, and I gave it a try. I found the ambiance to be fine, the ladies working there seemed relatively friendly. I will say when I go to have my mani/​pedi, I use it as a little hour of relaxation. So, some things I look for:
— spa chairs
— cleanliness
— one technician to do both mani and pedi
— «quiet» technician — I like to just close my eyes and not have a conversation
— professionalism
— no «up selling»
What I found at Blooming Nails was:
— spa chair
— cleanliness
— a somewhat «quiet» technician
What I found «disappointing:»
— the usual «up selling»
— a very short massage — asked if I’d «like a massage» after she barely started; assumed extra $ (my salon is no less than a 2 full-​minutes massage each on both arms and legs — this was about 30 seconds — no exaggeration)
— I found my finger cuticles not cut «smoothly» — there are some rough edges this morning, as I write. The nails were not shaped very well. I understand that perhaps another technician would do a better job, but this should be «basic skills.»
— when the technician was done with my hands, the front-​desk person came over to ask me if I «minded» if someone else would do my feet.
I had already emphasized — over the phone and when I arrived — my preference is to have one person for both. I do that for a couple of reasons — I enjoy the longer time in the massaging chair and it keeps it «simple» when it comes to tipping. I’m usually pretty compliant and «give in» to such requests, but since I was explicit, I stood my ground — graciously — and indicated I preferred to have the same person continue. I don’t know if it had to do with it being close to closing and the technician had to leave, or if another customer had requested the technician — as the phone had rung just before then. Anyway, I «received my preference.»
Another aspect — unless you know that specific area (which I’m still becoming familiar with), there is virtually no «free» parking. There is a street behind the salon, but it’s quite a walk and since it was after dark, I didn’t want to risk that — not to mention, there was no available parking due to all the apartments in the area. There is street parking in front (on San Vicente), but it’s metered and limited to one hour. The only other option is to be dropped off (not an option for me), or use the underground parking. They will validate parking, so it’s relatively inexpensive ($ 1.00/hour — or any portion of an hour — with validation), but it’s also Valet. So, the parking was an additional $ 4 that I’m not used to paying in the O.C.
Then, and this is mentioned in another Review — there IS a fee for using your credit card. I use my credit card everywhere for many reasons, so I was not prepared to pay cash for services rendered. I had taken cash for the tip, only. That said, also «happens to be» (tongue in cheek), an ATM machine in the salon, but I’m assuming there’s a fee to use that as well, so may as well pay the $ 1.00 credit card charge. (A charge my salon does not add.)
The price for the basic mani/​pedi was comparable to my O.C. salon, so that was a plus, since I find most salons around here to be higher.
I think if I should go there again in the future, I will be better prepared for all the above-​mentioned, (i.e., pay cash for services, go at a time when there will be available (free) street parking, and try to get an appointment that is not so late in the day).
My colleague did not remember the names of the technicians she and her daughter had when the went (just a week ago — for the first time), but I have to say that her manicure was very nicely done. I do not use color on my nails, but I do get them buffed (another extra charge), so it’s even more crucial that the cuticles are done well. That would be my «biggest complaint» of the experience.
So — jury is out if I will return; but I suspect if I can get a name from any other reviewer that «swears» to a good technician, I will give it another try.

Just moved to the area and was nervous about finding a good salon nearby… but this place is great! Stopped in for a pedi. I added on the callous treatment ($ 10 extra) which was nice but not needed every time. The guy doing my pedi spent extra time to ensure the shape and cuticles were perfect, and went back post-​polish with a paintbrush to ensure clean edges. He also gave a great leg massage.
Overall A+, I will be a regular! Only con is parking, but I’ll just walk here next time.

Clean place, friendly technicians, and quality work. Four stars only because it’s slightly over priced, but I am willing to pay for the cleanliness!

I love this place! The young gentleman working at the front desk was so polite and knows what he is doing. Sarah was amazing and did my eyebrows with perfection and she did my nails beautifully. Am all set to go out and have a great Saturday night! Thank you Sarah!

I love this place! Price and service is great compared to all other nail salons in the area! Natalie does an amazing job on my nails and she’s always so creative with fun modern designs. They have great color choices and nail polishes formula.
They don’t charge a fee when using your credit card, unlike the previous Unilocaler’s comment. They only accept cash for tips so bring cash to tip them because they do a great job. Yes, English is limited here but they do have someone there who speaks English well and you can communicate with them.
All in all, I give this place 5 stars for the great service and price!

I come here regularly for my acrylics and always have Kevin do them, he’s amazing! Today I got my pointy Halloween nails and they are perfect!

Communication is a BIG problem here.
They don’t tell you that they charge extra with credit cards and simply swipe it and then tell you about the extra charge. I could have paid with cash had they told me before swiping!
No itemized bill given and since they can’t speak English properly they are unable to explain the money they charge.

Service wasn’t great (kept my friends waiting 20 mins past appointment) and my mani and pedi turned out mediocre. The massages were only 1 – 2 minutes and very weak as well. I won’t be going back.

Updating my review post second visit. The second time I got a gel mani was a little over a week ago. This time, the owners daughter did my mani. After being indecisive about the color, I decided on my usual red. I’m posting a picture of it after a week and a half to show how perfect it looks — no signs of chipping and still looks shiny.

I live quite near so I have frequented this place at least once a month since it opened (it’s gone through a couple of owners) At first the environment was nice and relaxing and I was not bothered by their higher prices since their staff was competent and pretty much allowed for a restful and un-​chaotic mani/​pedi. If I wanted a cheap and loud mani/​pedi I could just cross the street to Zumani.
Well something changed, today a mean looking lady (manager or owner) at the front was demeaning the technicians in front of clients, it’s awkward to be witness to that type of behavior. In a very curt manner she instructed a tech to get up and wash a basin. I wanted to get up and tell her to clean the basin herself (she had a technician get up in the middle of a pedi to wash the basin). She seemed bothered by having to do a pedi on a sweet little girl. Seriously, respect your staff, I have never had a problem with any of the techs, my pedis and gel nails last forever, but unfortunately I cannot support businesses who demean and disrespect employees. I’m going to give Cote and Ilume Spa a try.

Never had I been so happy with a mani pedi, this place is legit. I had a man work on my fingers which came out perfect. He didn’t miss one gross dead skin protruding and my nails came out flawless!
My favorite part was the attention each finger got. When I neglect my nails, they get dried out and bitten which leads to dead dry skin poking upward and he got them all!
Oh my toes… I was purring like a cat… After removing my polish, cleaning all the dead grossness and an application of new color. BAM. I feel like a princess again :)
