This place is amazing. I have extreme anxiety regarding the dentist, and Dr. Chung and her team made every effort to make sure I was comfortable throughout my visit.
Martha made sure to call me promptly regarding my broken tooth and was able to fit me in for an appointment on the same day. Upon arrival, I was asked to sign in on their new patient check-​in system. It was all electronic and very quick
The dental assistant answered every one of my questions regarding the procedure to save my tooth. I was offered water, they gave me a blanket, and the chair had a built-​in massage. They also have a large TV where they show you your X-​rays and set you up with wireless headphones to watch Netflix or listen to music to help you relax during treatment.
Dr. Chung is very knowledgeable and super professional. I am a wuss with the numbing every time, but she made it easy and painless, I barely knew that she was doing it. I didn’t feel pain the whole time and just zoned out to Lost.
I was in and out in a reasonable timeframe. This was the best dental experience of my life! If you have a hard time finding a dentist that makes you feel comfortable, I would recommend Dr. Chung’s office all day.

I took my mom to see Dr. Chung, because my mom was complaining about pain ever since she got work done with another dentist. After the visit, my mom immediately noticed that her pain had disappeared and expressed how thankful she was for Dr. Chung. She spoke about how comfortable she felt around her and how competent and professional Dr. Chung was. The doctor was very clear in her explanations and personable so my mom felt more at ease throughout the visit.
We were also impressed by how nice and high tech the office was and how welcoming both Martha (receptionist) and Hugo (hygienist) were. Everyone and everything about Birdseye Dentistry was impressive.
Overall, it was a great experience. We highly recommend Dr. Chung!

Dr. Chung is brilliant and thorough; she went over every single problem with my teeth with me and showed me what she was looking at with my x-​rays and how she was making her decisions. The staff was amazing and friendly; Martha was very helpful! The experience was very comfortable (very nice new and modern office and they let you watch netflix and have headphones on while they clean your teeth!).
I’m not gonna go anywhere else for a long time.

Dr. Chung and her staff are the best! I am horrified to go to the dentist and haven’t been in about 3 years. I finally forced myself to go after walking past Dr. Chung’s office a zillion times. I ended up needing a root canal and I’d rather be eaten by a lion than face that terrifying unknown chamber of torture! Dr. Chung knew I was stressed and she was so kind, calm and reassuring throughout the whole procedure. She was concerned about me and that made a big difference to me getting through that root canal. She is an awesome dentist and cares about her patients well-​being. I don’t know if I will ever get over my fear of dental work but it will be a bit easier to go through in the hands of Dr. Chung. Plus I can walk to her office!

Uhhhh… the chairs massage you during your check up/​cleaning/​etc. Badass!!!
But, even without those chairs, Dr. Chung, the friendly, professional staff, and the most comfortable dentist experience I’ve ever had mean that I will be coming back.
I’ve been to 4 different dentists in the last 6 – 7 years (yea, it’s gross… I know), but I think I’ve finally found one that I’ll be sticking with!

My experience at Dr. Chung’s office was just amazing from the time I walked in to the time I left. Martha and Hugo have the most amazing friendly smiles and were so helpful. Dr. Chung was able to pin point and address underlying issues right away instead of quick fixes of wasted time and money I had for many years from other dental offices. Also, Dr. Chung stayed extra late to fix my night guard to help relieve tension. I woke up feeling so much better. I am so happy to have met Dr. Chung. I finally feel that I am on my way to better dental health. Thank you Dr. Chung!!!

I’m very anxious to see any dentist, yet I found Birdseye dentistry to be a relaxing environment (not sterile, but more like a spa lounge) — which helped calm my nerves upon entering the facility. GREAT STAFF: Birdseye dentistry has a very friendly, assuring staff and an excellent dentist. Dr. Chung is pleasant, thorough and has a wonderful bedside manner. She listened to my issues and understood the pace that I needed. She was also efficient and able to get my x-​rays and teeth cleaned in very good timing as my schedule is limited with kids to pick up from school mid-​day. She provided me with a reasonable treatment plan that was not overwhelming. I know I’m in good hands at birdseye dentistry.

I’ve had the distinct pleasure of knowing Dr. Chung for quite a few years now. One thing that you can’t tell from a Unilocal review is just how awesome people actually are until you meet them. Dr. Chung is one of those people. I know for a fact that she has poured her heart and soul into this practice and that she takes great care of her patients. Really can’t recommend her enough. Plus, she’s really funny.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in probably 10 years. Yah… TEN. YEARS. I’m a grown-​ass man and I don’t think I could legally drink the last time I went to the dentist. Anyway, a friend of a friend on Facebook labeled Birdseye as «very friendly and non-​judgmental» which were two things I desperately needed in a dentist. Suffice to say, Dr. Chung was warm, casual and made me feel completely relaxed. Honestly the whole experience was so breezy and pleasant, I’m struggling to write a more nuanced review. Even the assistants and front desk people were great! Just top to bottom, a lovely experience and recommend this place to everyone. The office itself also is clean, modern and cozy — it feels more like a spa than a dentist’s office.
I will 100% be coming back here, ideally in less than 10 years.

Meet your new dentist, Dr. Chung! Before Birdseye I hadn’t had any luck finding a decent dentist nearby and so I lived without one for a while (shame on me). Then one day on walk around the neighborhood I noticed a cute new dental office set up — the place looked spotless and charming, from the gold mylar balloons in the window spelling open, to the turquoise/​grey/​white color scheme with wood accents. Excellent in all areas — the staff, the doctor, the extra comfort features and the office itself.
Since then I have had a number of visits/​procedures to safely say that this is the best dentist I have ever been to. Martha at the front desk welcomes you with friendly smile and a quick chat. Hugo the hygienist always makes sure you’re comfortable and all the assistance the doctor needs. Dr. Chung is a knowledgeable and caring dentist. During your first visit she’ll do a full «bird’s eye view» assessment including teeth and jaw/​mouth health, and clearly explains to you what’s really going on in that mouth of yours. From there all the cards are on the table and you can make your plan of attack from emergency priority procedures to cosmetic. You even get the entire price breakdown of the hit list for you to consider.
I am biased about the location since I live in the area and can easily walk to the office within minutes. Parking is offered in the shared Marshalls/​Petco lot off of Western, as well as some hard to grab metered spots.
Added bonus: –the chairs have a message and heating function
–tv’s are mounted on the wall and you’re provided with wireless headphones and Netflix options to watch so you can tune out while your teeth are being worked on

An awesome dentist visit, and then a reward Thai massage and Thai food after the novocaine wears off a bit since I’m already in Thai Town. Best idea ever! (: Dr. Millie Chung and her friendly and very capable team made my visit the most comfortable and pleasant dental experience I have ever had. From massage chairs, quality wireless headphones to a movie/​show of my choosing; to honest and caring assessments that empower me as a patient! I will drive an hour from OC to see her without question! This place has exceeded my expectations!

I was a patient of Dr. Millie when she practiced in NYC and she was the best dentist I ever had — we were sad to see her go back to Los Angeles! If I have any major dental work ahead, heaven forbid, I’m on the first flight to LAX!
Her own practice promises to be fantastic and it’s near the Metro… and a little birdie told me there’s bicycle parking out front!

I used to travel a lot for business. We all know how painful and uncomfortable a tooth ache can be at home but try being all the way across the country and having to work. I was in a bind and was referred to Dr. Chung. After a LONG day of work, I wanted to have my root canal done by someone I can trust or at least highly recommended. So she was able to see me last minute and was actually able to build by tooth back as I had also cracked it. Not only was she so accommodating, her pride in her work and level of efficiency was worth going cross country for. Her work was the best I have had and I have been in the Dentist chair several times before to vouch for that.
Since she preformed a root canal on my cracked tooth, I had to get a temporary crown in NYC. Concerned about who was going to be able to do my crown in LA to match her quality of work, I was pleased to hear that she would be moving back to her native CA. I opted to wait the several months with the temp crown she put in, it lasted 6 months and probably would have even longer! Happy to report that she was able to put in a top of the line crown that felt so smooth a real compared to my other lower quality one and the color matched perfectly and you can’t tell what’s real or fake! She also made sure the space between my teeth were just right so that I don’t get food stuck and gums infected. So happy she is back in LA and able to work on the rest of my teeth!
She is one of the most professional, knowledgeable and yet personable doctors I’ve had the pleasure to have work done by. Thrilled to be able to say I found my go to Dentist here on out.
