I found Gigi on Unilocal and I am so glad I did! Although my hair turned out blonder than I expected, I am more than pleased with how it looks! My hair took about five hours and both Gigi and her assistant were constantly making sure that everything was right. I highly recommend Gigi if you want an amazing balayage!

I love Gigi! I call her the hair angel. She is an awesome person too. She saved my hair transformed it completely. I was hopeless until my friend, who also swears by Gigi every time she saw my brassy hair, booked me an appointment. I’m really happy because I finally found my colorist.

1. Go to Gigi at Ramirez Tran Salon. With the recommendation of a friend, I saw Gigi, and she absolutely transformed my natural hair to a fabulous, celeb-​worthy style.
2. She knows all-​things color and specializes in color correction, Asian hair, balayage technique, lowlights, babylights. You name it.
3. Expert in understanding hair and cutting it in a way it flatters the face shape and enhances your style.
4. Bring pictures of what you want your hair to look like. Since I got a cut + color, I brought images of what I envisioned my cut/​style and the exact color I was aiming for. Stylists love it when clients do this since sometimes it can be difficult to explain and this is a great way to avoid freakouts or a hair meltdown.
5. Ramirez Tran Salon is everything I dreamed and expected of from a Beverly Hills cult favorite. Clean, fashion-​forward space, passionate people who love hair, high-​quality products. Gigi has a private room with a beautiful window view.
6. Gigi is fabulous + sweet. She took the time to discuss what I envisioned for my hair transformation. I trust her. She’s prompt with responding to messages and even followed up with me days after my cut + color.
My cut /​/​I asked for a mid-​length, soft, a-​line bob with long layers. I wanted movement and texture. I have a lot of hair and Gigi was able to provide movement without compromising volume.
My color /​/​I went for an overall brown (dark at roots) and lighter mid to ends. Golden caramel lights (not brassy or ashy) and face framing golden blond. She did a mixture of coloring techniques which resulted in perfect gradual + gradient color. I also mentioned to her that I’m low-​maintenance and didn’t want to come in for regular color touch ups. She left my roots dark and did somewhat of a balayage/​ombré color so it’ll grow out effortlessly and basically would last forever.
My hair transformation speaks for itself. I went from basic to breathtaking. Put your trust in Gigi and she’ll make you fabulous.

I rarely write reviews, but Gigi is very deserving of one. She is a straight magician. This was my first visit with her and I’ll definitely be coming back. The photos really say it all, but here are points summed up–

I have been wanting a change for awhile now. A big, LOOK AT HOW FABULOUS I AM, kind of change. Ha. When I saw these pictures, I knew immediately that I had to see Gigi. She took my lackluster, mousy brown hair to a whole other level. I have purple, I have burgundy, I have dimension, I have bounce. It’s really amazing what a little color can do for your whole look. I cannot remember the last time I received so many compliments. I seriously want this hair for the rest of my life!
Okay, so let me talk about the salon for a minute. It is gorgeous. Open, airy and full of beautiful people. Gigi is so sweet and accommodating. I completely trusted her and was open to her suggestion of going purple. I never would have thought purple would have worked but I honestly wish I had done it earlier. And Gigi’s skills with the curling iron has given me the kind of beachy hair I’ve always wanted. I honestly cannot recommend this girl enough.
Now I know some of you may be put off by the address or the $$$, but trust me. You cannot feel like a million bucks if you are not willing to shell out a bit. So do yourself a favor — go see Gigi and let your fabulousness shine through.

Came in to see Gigi this week for a trim! I was so thrilled with everything about my experience. The salon is absolutely gorgeous and makes you feel as though you are in NY. It’s very chic and filled with interesting people. Gigi has her own room in the back which allows for privacy and comfort. I had a deep conditioning treatment, a trim and a blowout. My hair looked and felt great. I cannot wait to go back and try her for highlights.

OH EM GiGi! Today my locks were blessed by hair Jesus!
I’ve been watching Gigi’s work for some time on social media. I wasn’t quite ready to make the stylist switch yet. I contacted Gigi and we chatted for a bit going back and forth about what I wanted. She suggested a consult (which I ended up switching straight to a booking!)
Moments after meeting Gigi I was confident that I was in good hands. I pretty much said «do your magic». I am so glad I did! My hair is amazzzzing — wait no– what’s better than amazing? Because that’s what my hair is. Perfect baby lights, Balayage, glossing and waves. Ps: waves done by brush and dryer– not needing a curling iron because she’s just that good!
She’s sweet as can be and I’ve already booked appointment number two. Worth every penny!!!

Here’s my deal: I have really good hair, and as a result, I am the WORST when it comes to styling it or generally anything other than brushing it. I want my cut to do all the heavy lifting for me and if I CHOOSE to style it, well, that’s a personal choice, not a necessity so I can leave the house without looking like a lonely spinster from the 1890s.
The space Gigi works her magic on is AWESOME! You immediately feel like you’re somewhere special – why yes, I would like a latte after you give me an awesome scalp massage during my shampoo – and most importantly, Gigi LISTENS to you. She communicates to you what she plans to do with your hair and then she does it. Gigi is also the first hair stylist I’ve had give me a dry cut – and I can’t believe what a difference it makes!
I’ve always been super reluctant to color my hair (it has been the natural dark nutty brown nature gave me with the exception of a dark teenage rebellion in my fourteenth year when it was a dark cherry red) but when I saw the gorgeous, 100% natural looking highlights Gigi was giving to another client, I was suddenly grilling her about everything. I was not at all familiar with the Balayage style of highlighting and now that I know more (highlights are MEANT To look natural and «sun kissed» — none of these artificial frosted tips and X-​Men Rogue style streaks that have always scared me away!!) I’m saving up my pennies to give my hair a little summer flair this Christmas!!!
Oh, and I’m a Valley Girl who will HAPPILY drive over the hill for Gigi!

Gigi is a color magician who transformed my horrible zebra hair back to beach blonde! I had a horrible cut & color experience this past weekend (see before and after photos) at a salon and thankfully I found Gigi on Unilocal when searching for a new colorist!
She is a balayage specialist and after viewing her work Instagram of beautiful beach blonde highlights/​ombres – I knew she would be able to fix my hair.
Gigi was easy to get ahold of, very kind, and worked with my budget. She is at Ramirez Tran Salon in Beverly Hills, which was beautiful and everyone was very nice– Bonus points because it has a FREE parking lot in the back!
I am beyond happy with the color correction work she did! I feel like a new person and will definitely be back to see her again!

After probably a month of researching different hairstyles and different hair salons I came across Gigi at Ramireztrans salon, it felt like fate brought us together! I have super curly hair that I had never dyed before. To say I was a nervous wreck would be an understatement. Not only was I already having anxiety about going through with this balayage but I was also late to my appointment. The second I walked in and told the receptionist I was running late for a hair appointment with Gigi, they offered me a seat (super friendly) and went to go tell her I was here.
The moment I met Gigi, all my anxiety went away! I showed her keratin bead extensions that I wanted to get in and the colors I was going for, and she knew exactly what I wanted. I didn’t even need to show her too many pictures, she knew exactly what I wanted just by my short description. She really made an effort to connect with me, which I love. I don’t know how I will ever go to anyone else, I’m seriously in love with how she works to make sure the customer is entirely satisfied! My hair turned out so amazing that I could’ve cried on the spot! Wayyy better than I had even imagined it in my head! The colors blend so naturally. Also, she really cares about the health of your hair as well, so she made sure to not damage and was very attentive. I was beyond satisfied, I feel like a brand new person! And I’ve gotten so many compliments from friends and family (and strangers just on the street, lol). I highly highly recommend this salon and more importantly Gigi!!! THANK YOU GIGI! Can’t wait to come back for my touch ups!

My daughter has long wavy hair. We were desperately looking for a highly sophisticated hair dresser who would create a glamorous, yet NATURAL look. Gigi initially did a wet cut. She then blow-​dried her hair and did a DRY CUT. I didn’t even know what DRY CUT meant until I met Gigi in all the years I’ve been going to hair salons.
Gigi explained that performing a DRY CUT allows her to design a haircut that is more detailed and articulate than a wet cut. Gigi layered my daughter’s hair so beautifully that it was unrecognizable. She cut her hair with such precision and attention to details as to blow away all competition.

Gigi, is phenomenal! Whether you’re looking to get great Balayge, Babylites or Highlights. She has perfected the «lived in hair» look that Ramirez Tran salon is known for.
I’ve researched many salons, and colorists but she’s an artist who carefully captures your most flattering tone and color. (She looks at you, and talks about what your hair goals are)
She’s honest about what will work for your tone and what won’t, that’s a must!
Prior to going to Gigi, my hair has been though so much within just 3yrs I was bleach blonde, then jet black, then Platinum, then medium brown, then blonde again. I’ve always struggled with what «look» flattered my skin the most. (I’m half white/​half Mexican) so my skin tone is light olive and tricky for most colorists.
Gigi, saved my hair (it was very fried) and I wanted to keep the length.. Let me begin by saying my hair is has seen many colors, and colorist and I’ve never been completely satisfied.
So far I’ve seen Gigi twice, I plan on making her my long term colorist and would recommend her to anyone.
She’s professional, takes her time to get it right and makes sure you both are on the same page.
I went to her with a brassy/​yellowish blonde similar to straw color. It completely washed me out.
She created a soft, yet vibrant low maintenance blonde that has me getting so many compliments. I will post before an after photos of my color.
Price wise the salon is $$$ but worth every penny, in the hair world you get what you pay for. Plus I only every have to go in every 2−3months.

So as promised my updated review… I finally did it! Took he plunge and gave away my hair’s V-​card. Read the previous review to see that I did try Gigi out before deciding to dye my hiar because V-​Cards are not something you just throw around.
Once trying her out for a blowout, though, I knew it was true love and was willing to give it up. I asked Gigi which color would be the least damaging to my dark hair. She recommended brown, so I chose to go with caramel highlights. I LOVE them! she lightened up the look of the whole head of hair with the highlights. I am so pleased at how they turned out.
Gigi’s technique (this coming from someone who’s first time it was) seemed to be very thorough and precise. She parted the hair into super thin sections and then dyed every other section for a natural look that really looks like it could be my natural color.
I was also worried about the condition my hair would be in, but I am happy to report 2 weeks and a wash and style later, my hair is still doing well. It’s a little on the dry side, but that is just my hair texture and the hot SoCal weather.
i recommend trying out Gigi 100%!! You will not be disappointed.

Finding a hair dresser is like blind dating, you don’t really know what you’re getting until you get to the «date».
Well, I can attest that GiGi and I are a match made in heaven because… Well, um, HELLO, we both share the same name! Sure, sure you might think I’m bias because she has the coolest name on the planet, but I know someone’s name has nothing to do with their hairstyling skills… Cause GOD KNOWS I am terrible with hair, lol.
Any who, the reason why I visited GiGi is because I am «SUPER EDGY & BADASS» and have a thick piece of purple in my hair that was starting to fade… And as mentioned above, me trying to reapply dye would turn into a worst disaster than… Dare I say… ⁹⁄₁₁?
GiGi on the other hand dug right in to the «root» of my issue without any qualms… Showed me three different colors of purple I could choose from and WENT FOR IT. POOF! 30 minutes later, the stunning purple hue was back and brighter than ever! I was even complimented later in the evening by a fellow who doesn’t notice such things… (What straight man does?) Saying he really liked it. Hey GiGi, I may have your next client?
As you can see, I highly, highly recommend GiGi! While I haven’t gone under her magical wands (hands) to highlight my whole head yet, I can foresee my future… And it shows me that I certainly will be in the very near future!
Finally a «blind date» that didn’t end with me sneaking out the bathroom window!

Gigi is an absolute doll! She took my horrible orange-​toned ombré and transformed it into a beautiful masterpiece! I highly recommend her for color-​fixes.

Seriously you guys, I did soooo much Unilocal research before landing on Gigi. I loved my old hairdresser but she just wasn’t listening to me anymore– we had different visions. Seeing Gigi’s photos I knew she had the same vision as me– gorgeous, natural looking color.
I was a little hesitant when I saw she is at Ramirez Tran because I have had some bad experiences in the past with high-​end salons being snooty– not so here, everyone at RT was so kind and welcoming, but none more so than Gigi! I don’t know who was more excited about my hair transformation, me or her– she genuinely cares about her work and her clients. My wedding is coming up and Gigi kept saying «I’m so glad you came to me before your wedding day! Your hair has to be right for that!» Well, Gigi, I’m so glad too! Even my boss noticed when I came to work the next day– he said, «Something’s different about you– you look really refreshed– what changed?» GIGI! She Cinderella’d me into the most perfect blonde ever.
She had to do a color correction on me so the price was a bit high, but let me tell you: she is WORTH IT. Also, she was very conscious of cost and offered to start with just base and lowlights and I could come back and do the highlights later to space out the money. We decided to do it all at once because my wedding is so soon and, like I said, Gigi is worth every penny.

Gigi is the best! She made my hair look fantastic before my shoot! I have a natural blonde straight hair, they look quite flat. Gigi made them look so much more voluminous! It’s impossible to make my hair curly, but she did it, I just lovvved my new haircut and style! I will definitely be back.
