I can’t guarantee that this place is legal, safe, or cleanly… but I can guarantee that they have damn good tacos and horchata. I’m going to have to investigate further to see if there are even set hours. I get the feeling that they set up their food stand whenever they feel like it. I’ve been once at noon on a Saturday and again at 11pm on a Wednesday. They serve their Horchata out of a jug with a ladle. Their ingredients are all set out on a picnic table in tupperware containers. Everything *looked* fresh, everything was homemade. They have every kind of Mexican meat you’d want and they cook it right there in front of you. No funny business. Well, other than the fact that the entire food stand is in front of a dilapidated auto shop and covered by tarps. Other than THAT, no funny business. The couple who was running the stand the last time I went spoke absolutely no English. Sorry, the man said«Yes» and«Doggy!»(referring to my dog, not the meat. Just to clarify). They were very friendly and they conversed with my boyfriend in Spanish. I don’t know what they were saying, but it seemed friendly. I’m a vegetarian and as far as I know they have no vegetarian items. My boyfriend got Tacos from Leo’s, Hugo’s and here and said that hands down this place has the best tacos out of all of them. REALLY!!! BETTERTHANLEO’s?! I didn’t know that was possible. The Horchata is perfect. I’m a self-proclaimed Mexican drink connoisseur and I have to say… even though it comes from a jug on the side of the road, this is some of the best horchata I’ve ever had. If you’re feeling adventurous and you want great tacos then I recommend this place. Tacos are $ 1, a large Horchata is $.75. If you’d like to «dine in», they have a lovely folding table set up with a plastic table cloth and all. They even have a mini TV with Mexican soap operas playing for your entertainment.
