2 of the most respected and trusted former tenants of the Antiquarius Center have joined together to create a private and unique antique jewelry and vintage watch shopping experience walking distance from the original Antiquarius building. Platt Boutique Jewelry & Second Time Around Watch Co. now co-exist in a charming private independant store front next to door to IL Piccolino restaurant on 8763 Rosewood Ave(1 block north of Beverly Blvd) off of Robertson Blvd.

Antiquarius is the only place I go to buy jewelry. If antique and vintage jewelry is your cup of tea, you must stop here as soon as possible. The many individual vendors cover many periods and carry diverse pieces, meaning there is a lot of looking to be done– have plenty of time. The vendors are mainly lovely, letting you look at and try on anything you would like. Unfortunately, there are a few pushy ones. The great thing about Antiquarius is that there is a strong focus on jewelry from the mid 1800s to the mid 1900s, all with detail and quality that today’s jewelry cannot hold a candle to. Much of this jewelry is also estate and designer, and many of the price tags match these labels. But, despite the high prices, you can barter and reason, and there is a women in front who will appraise pieces for you to justify a good deal. I have left with a canoe shaped ring with diamonds, 1890s, from France, which was appraised for 3 times what we paid for it, and just recently, a gorgeous Art Deco diamond tennis bracelet, which fit my tiny wrist to perfection. My father has also purchased a few vintage Rolexes in mint condition. In my experience, some of the best pieces are from the vendors up front, so take some time to look around there. This is an experience that you will not forget!

Oh boy, is there some beautiful stuff here. There’s a guy upstairs who is a great go to for estate diamonds, especially engagement rings.

inside this relatively high-end antique jewelry store on beverly blvd. near robertson is Claude Moradi. Claude Moradi specializes in Estate jewelry and some reproductions of antique jewelry. This is where my fiancé found her dream ring. Because we wanted to use a diamond we had, Mr. Moradi had the ring reproduced by a vendor of theirs(Single Stone I believe) with some subtle customizations that I requested. All within my budget, we got a ring that both I and she were very happy with. Don’t be afraid to haggle, because unassumingly we were able to get a better deal after shopping around a bit. All in all, a good experience. –i previously posted this review under the«Antiquarian» location, but i believe this is the correct location.
