I have had a love for photography for as far back as I can remember and would grab my mother’s camera and shoot whenever I could. When I was 9 years old with the help of my Uncle Wes who worked for Kodak I had my first camera! It was a Kodak Instamatic. Once I had my very own camera, I could not be stopped from running around getting shots of everyone and everything!

I believe everyone and everything has a story to tell and I look for ways to tell that story when I shoot. Interestingly, for a while I enjoyed telling these stories in front of the camera as I pursued an acting career in New York and Los Angeles. Although I never stopped shooting, it was only in the past few years when my husband gave me an amazing gift, which was my first SLR camera, and I re-​discovered my love of photography. But I found something had happened along the way: My experience as an actress had influenced how I shot, helping me capture and tell stories through the lens.
